1st ultrasound and they didnt see anything....help!

hello all,
so i had my 2nd ivf done.they put 3 embryos in me that were 3 days old on december 2nd.i've done 7 hpt's that have all been positive.but today when i had my 1st doctors appointment,they did a transvaginal ultrasound and didnt see a sac.my lining looked good,but i dont know if thats just because of the progesteron.i know its early to get an ultrasound but all the other things ive read the women have seen the sac.i have another appt. in a week but i think i will lose my mind by then.please help me!im worried about a tubal or etopic pregnancy.any words of advice?

Hi Tori,
dont worry it is way too early the yolk sac does not appear until the end of the 5th week. It is too early so just relax and let your body do what it needs to do.

Torii: What did your dr say about your ultrasound? Did they say it was normal or are they concerned about not seeing anything? My first ultrasound was exactly 1 month from my egg retrieval and you could see 2 sacs but they were very small. I think your ultrasound was done earlier than that but let me know what your dr thinks

doctor said we would do a beta,then the beta machine broke,happens once every ten years,so they couldnt do a beta.so then he said just come back in a week and if we dont see something by then,im not pregnant.i hate having to worry about it thru the holidays.

I would ask the dr for a script so I could get a beta at an independant lab so I would know how things are progressing. That way I could have some piece of mind over the holiday.

Torii am with you. I just had my first u/s today as well and my lining looked good per doctor. He could only see a very small sac and nothing else. he does not think its ectopic. my level first two beta were 127 and 485. now today should be 6weeks and he could not see much. he wants me to take pill to abort whatever is there. my beta today was 1890. am really confused at present and dont know what to think or do. so dont think you are alone but someone has to be strong. let me know what happens to you. wish you all the best.
