Hi girls,

Glad you have all decided to appear again, was getting worried.

Loops - So glad everything went well for you, your a trouper. Know how you feel just now, its such a struggle eh but i feel there is a hint of positivity in that voice so we will plod along together and get there in the end. Hang in there babe, am here for you so email anytime.Image

Cant believe you didnt shave your legs--minger. Especially after me doing a lovely smiley to remind you
Good luck with your app on Thursday, let me know how you get on.

Littles - Glad you are back on your feet and everything is going well BUT cant believe you have lost weight, you will be sliding down the plug hole soon as there is no weight to lose. Look after yourself -----------and get to MacDonaldsImage

Steph and Walshy - Am expecting you back by the end of the week or i will be kicking some assImage

Been so busy just now but also feeling a bit yuck with af this week. Dont know what thats about as i usually never get any probs, think its maybe just my body getting back to normal after two cycles so close. Also finding this time of year hard again without a little one to enjoy it with---bet your the same.

ANYWAY THE GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY.
Cant bloody believe it. Basically i asked my consultant about the hysteroscopy and she keeps saying nothing is wrong apart from blocked tubes. She did Lupus (spelling) Antibodies blood test (6 vials) this is usually done on women who continually miscarriage and it can tell you why the embryos might not be implanting---she will send me the results.I then asked about our free cycle on the NHS, thinking it was about a year away but she said they have had more funding from the Health Trust and we only have to wait 2-3 months-----nearly fainted. Then we spoke about finding a donor her so i can take advantage of the free cycle and she told me about the woman who advertised in the local paper not so long ago and got a good response. She said the clinic can do this for us putting all the info via the acu unit so its kept anonomous and they pay----nearly collapsed. THen she said the amount of eggs the lady produces are ALL ours and as its a NHS cycle, they pay for storage and for the donor---------heart attack took place. Just cant believe it and when i left the unit i burst into tears, on my own in the corridor-----fool.The only thing is that they got a good response from the donors last time but when some people see what they have to go through, they drop out but we only need about 3 or 4 so they can select a good one--------then we need on 1---there must be 1 person willing to do this??????????????So now we have our FET, then depending on the outcome of the donor advertisement, we might get some more eggs------praying already. As the donor has to have all the health tests that we did, it takes quite a few weeks so the admin girls is putting together the add as we speak and then she will send it to us and we check it, then put it in the paper as soon as possible so we can cycle in a few months.

About bloody time there was some good news.

Catch you all tomorrow

Love Jen x

Hi My favorite Girls!

Well, Life is holiday crazy busy and that is my only excuse... work is also busy.. ok that is another excuse. what can I say? I am full of excuses. fiddle, dee, dee....

JENS! great, great and more great news! congrats on all that fab news. the tides they are a changin.. or is that times? ha, ha. you are so close I can smell the bfp.. ok so it smells a little like pee, (which is gross) but you know what I mean.

Loops- do you need a little time in the bubble? Demetrio has put a christmas tree in there for you... complete with a present from him.. ok, so it is a picture of him, nude, but he is very proud of it.. you know what they say.. hung by the stocking with care.... and oh man is it hung  oh, the gutter is a nice place for the mind to visit. Ok, so mine visits quite often, kinda lives there actually.

Walshy- love em and leave em heh? check in please. little evil scale tried to tell me that I gained 3.5lbs over the last week... that is right, almost 4 pounds in 7 days. Little scale almost became little "flying out the window" scale. I will Turbo Jam tonight and try again tommorrow... if you can't lose it, sweat it out! the holiday parties are really starting to catch up. I had lost weight, then remained steady for the last couple of week and WHAMMO... monster gain. crap!

Littles- I am so glad the surgery went well and twins are still snuggled. I wish I could tell you that you will start to relax and enjoy... but the great irony is that infertilty robs you of a happy, calm, pregnancy as well. worry, stress, worry. I stayed that way the entire time. But, you will also have moments that you will enjoy it too. the worry is just kinda always there. But so is appreciation for every moment you are preggers. and hope begins to sneak in... try to enjoy.. easier said.

As for me.. still not done shopping.. procrastinator! I doubt I will work a full day this week.. too much to be done. Plus I still need to plan the menu for hubbies b-day dinner on Saturday.. and shop and cook and bake for 3 other holiday parties... Party On! I enjoyed a margarita the other night while wrapping presents and watching cheesy christmas romantic movies... I know a margarita doesn't exactly say "Merry Christmas" but it was very tasty just the same. whatever brings the cheer!

Hi girls

Got letter today from clinic, its our advert they have typed for the paper but wanted advice before i agree to it------it says

Do you know how it feels to have your own child?
For us there is only one way we could share that feeling - if another woman donates her eggs. Could you help us by making such a gift?

My husband and i love children and have been trying to have a family for many years. However, we have been advised that the only way forward is to use donor eggs. There is a severe shortage of donor eggs and we may have to wait several years for treatment.

If you are under the age of 36, have completed your own family and feel you could help us, please reply to PO BOx Number............

I think maybe we should add after Treatment that i may be told old then???
Also after completed own family we should maybe add, or would like to donate eggs?? So that people dont think its only woman who have had their kids who can donate? What do you guys think?? Thanks for your help?

Have a good one------------be good

Hey guys
Sorry I've been absent but incredibly busy.

Jen, I like the ad and I'd add the bit about "or want to donate", broadens the net.

I'm not going ahead with my cycle - I have decided to wait a month, things have been so frantic and my mum is in hospital. This means I'll start down reg towards end of Jan. This also means me n dh can indulge ourselves over christmas and new year and sort of draw a line properly under a pretty crappy year.
I'm really happy we've decided to wait. :D

so on to Team: Octo05

We have had a year of ups and downs guys but look at us now! We got Littles and her twins, we got Jen and her fail safe mum by the end of the year, we got Walsh with her newly found menstrual cycle, steph with lovely happy healthy youngster and me, all positive for new fresh cycle in 2008. I'm so glad we're all still in contact 2 years on and just think, this time next year we'll all be mums!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS MY SWEET GIRLS and may all your wishes come true for 2008

LOVE like a truck

Hi Loops

Glad you are feeling good about your decision to wait to cycle. Try to have some fun and chill before your bfp arrives
I'm glad you agree about the add, want as many people as possible to apply so am definately going to ask the clinic to change that bit.

HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A FAB TIME, EAT, DRINK AND DONT BE DEPRESSED LIKE ME TODAY. HAD A FEW TEARS BUT ITS ONWARDS AND UPWARDS----BRING ON 2008, WE ARE ALL GOING TO KICK SOME IVF ASS

Hola Buenos!

I hope you all had a top Christmas and New Year??? Yes???
So, here we are 2008! Woo hooooo!

No news from the ever elusive Littles and her twins?? Come on sweetcheeks! Let the dog see the rabbit here!!!! Let us know that things are all going well for you and the two.

Jen - not a great start to the year for you and dh but I see from your ticker that another go is 'round the corner. Hope things get better for fil and then you can fully concentrate on your cycle. We will be hormonal cycle buds together!

Walsher - wink wink, shhhhh, don't let the secret out. So whats the what with getting you up the duff this year eh?? I want dates, times, FACTS!

Steph - you've never talked about number 2. I don't don't mean THAT No 2, babe dos?? Well? Frankly, I think its time for you to join the trying to conceive gang again. Its just my opinion so no pressure...... I just want another buddy on the wheel.

So, I'm starting the wee down regulatoriations in 12 days and 1st scan is on the 31st Jan. Rah rah rah. I'm trying to gear up to it and have made a list of doom of all things I have to give up... alcohol (sweet lord), coffee, crappy food. Remember years ago I had the treat a week thing, will try and resurrect that. Have to admit I am scared of doing this cycle. Had massive attack of the what-ifs, what if I'm still not pregnant by the end of this year??? How much longer can I do this? All questions to be answered in the fullness of time shameless viewers.

Anyhoo, my tax return won't fill itself in so I'm away

Adios amigas

Hi girls

Finally i make it back, its been hectic.

Dh's Dad is comfortable just now and the Dr has said he has improved although we all know only to well that this means stable as he will not recover from all these problems but at least we know he is ok. It was so tough leaving him in the hospital the other day but hopefuly we are trying to plan our IM trip around a visit to see him first.

My af is due either 10th or 11th then patches will be slapped on. IM rang me today and confirmed we have provisionally booked the 28th at 1200 for FET. Although this might change a day or 2 depending on flights and af date. There is a 2 week margin after i have my scan that i can do ET, so we have a bit of room for change although our hols are in at work so it will definately be around that week sometime.

We are hoping to drive to see dh's Dad then fly over from England. The only thing is that means we have to fly to Barcelona Girona airport. I dont mind on the way there but on the way back we would have to get a bus from Av Diagonal to the airport (app 1hr) then fly home then i can rest for an hour or 2 at my sis-in-laws house which is just beside tje airport then drive another 4 hrs up to Scotland. The guy at IM said this was fine but i'm still a bit wary. So would appreciate any advice, do you think its ok to travel this much the day after ET????

So Loops - Photos on Facebook please, your so awful at photos but your not getting out of it this time. So glad your cycling again, dont be scared i will be here for you anytime.

Ok i have been at work then on the treadmill and being a good girl with my diet so i am now whacked and away to chill

Catch you soon

Hi girls

Not feeling so great just now, still got the snuffles so just a quick email to let you know that af arrived this afternoon and all the flights and hotel is booked.
Scan should be on the 18th, will confirm this monday and ET on the 28th.

Littles emailed today and has been having a tough time. She is now 13 weeks but has been in hospital with threatening miscarriage. She is trying to keep positive but is so scared.
KEEP STRONG BABE xx

Hope everyone is doing ok and you come back soon.
