Feeling so tired now

Hi Everyone, How we all doing? Just thought I would do a little post, I am just so tired these days I never seem to be able to keep my eyes open. I still have another 3wks at work and just really want to leave now. I just want to be able to get up in the morning and chill out and do what I want to do without having to rush to get ready for work. I seem to be busy at work and then all I want to do is put my head down on the desk and sleep. I ain't sleeping very well during the night I seem to be up and down all the time having a wee but there we go I wouldn't want it any other way but just want some energy in myself. Morning Shell - not long to go now so don't you flake out on us!!! I agree about work, it is really hard to maintain not just the physical exertion of getting up and out of the house on these cold mornings when you'd rather stay by the fire - I find it hard to keep mentally interested. It's not our fault - we are programmed to think of nothing else but our baby I reckon, which is only right and far more fun!!! Our baby is due 17 March and so I'm finishing at the end of January - I really can't wait although I know I'll cry like an idiot on the day (have been here 18 years, since school) when everyone is saying goodbye! I'm dreading that bit I must say, but once it's over I'm sure I'll be fine and will start nesting with a vengeance!!! Have a great day Shell - I don't know about you but I keep imagining what it'll be like NEXT Christmas, standing by the tree with your baby 9 or 10 months old, showing them all the decorations and sparkle! Morning Jo, It is all exciting, I can't wait to meet my baby now and counting down the days for when the big day will be. I guess it could happen anytime now if anything to go by with Nina. I am near enough all sorted now Jo which is good, you saying about Christmas next year it will be lovely and all my childhood days will start over again. Jo I will be exactly like you crying when I leave work but I leave soon I finish on the 12th Dec so it won't be long. I do get emotional anyway and I am coming back to work but I am taking a full year out first. I just hope we can afford to do it Jo but we will see. Jo you never ramble on I love to speak to you, the thing is we have waited for this moment for so long so why not go on. Love Shell. 31wks 5d pg xx

mornin' Jo and Shell. it warms the old cockles listening to you to talking about christmas next year. it's amazing to think we are all in this position. know what you mean about work guys. i don't exactly know when i'm finishing, but am hoping about mid january as my heart's not in it at the moment. have taken today off as my back is killing me. must be fate though, my sis has just phoned to say she thinks she might be going into labour

Hi girlies, Sorry to hear everyone's tired - I am in bed myself most nights for about 8.30 and asleep by 9.30! I find that if I have a milky drink like Ovaltine or Horlicks in bed then I feel really relaxed and sleep much better and don't tend to wake for a wee - although I have been having very horrid dreams! I get to about 4pm each day then my ribs start aching at the back and my bump feels heavy when I stand and I can't wait to get to bed!!!! I've been working here for 15 years so will be slightly sad to go but the lure of a a year off work is way too strong! I know money will be tight but I'm finishing at Christmas so am counting down the days! Anyway, another day over!!!! love Sally (29 + 5)

Hi Girls, Well I may have to finish before the 12th Dec as planned, my ankles have swole up so much and I can't even get my shoes on. I have booked to see my midwife on Friday (yeah Friday on my Birthday) but I really need to know. They seem to be like when I had to have my wedding ring cut off, she done tests and said I didn't have anything to worry about but just want it rechecked out. I am also going to say about walking and getting backache if I don't tell her she won't know and I would rather not ignore it. Love Shell. xx

Hi Shell - sorry to hear about the swelling and back ache - I haven't swollen, but also get backache if I stand or walk around too much (ie more than 30 minutes!) Are you getting rib pain - that the main thing I'm getting at the moment. I've had lots of help from my chiropracter so you might get some relief if you see one used to dealing with pregnancy and its problems. I found my midwife to be a bit unhelpful - she seemed to put everything I mentioned down to 'pregnancy and hormones!!'. At least we're on the home strait now!!!! love Sally xxx

Hi all, Haven't been on for a while as I've been busy at work and we spent last weekend in Paris (last holiday together alone!!). I know what you mean about sleeping - I often wake up at 1 am, then sleep on and off until about 8 am. It's so difficult when you've got to work. I'm off to the docs in a while to have my BP and urine checked as my feet / legs and hands have been swelling up. I took my rings off last week, but my legs and ankles have been terrible. I'm also finding it difficult to squeeze in to my shoes. I'm sure everything is fine, but my mum has been hassling me to get it checked out (guess she's worried about pre-eclampsia). Other than that, we still haven't bought anything. My parenys bought us a travel system when we were up north 2 weeks ago, and we've brought that back with us, just in case we need it before Christmas! We've also been given loads of things from friends - sterilisers, a baby carrier, clothes, breast pump - all useful stuff. HOwever, I think that we're going to start preparing our hospital bag soon, so we'll have to take the plunge and buy a few things. Take care, Alison xx
