Mrs. G,
I'm so sorry it didn't work again. Be good to yourself, take a long hot bath, have a some champagne on New Years and eat a bunch of chocolate.
On your follow up visit with your RE ask and discuss what he thinks could be different when you transfer your last 2 embryos Ask him how he thinks this last transfer went (ask him if it was a difficult transfer in placing the embyos (that was my problem). My Re also reduced the progestrone in the begining to 50mg/1ml PIO once a day then increased my progestrone after the transfer to 50mg/1ml PIO 1x day and prometrium vaginal supossitories 2x daily . I also took heprin shots in my belly every day for a few days after the transfer till we got the results of an antilupus/antilipid? screening I took earlier in the week just before the transfer. I was so happy to be able to stop the heprin injections cuz my tummy was way bruised up. Anyway, see if there are any tests he advises you or your husband to take prior to the next transfer that may increase your chance of success. My RE also checked my uterus for polyps and scarring with a saline sonagram. Another thing I did was accupuncture which I find very relaxing.

HELLOKITTY,
I'm doing fine, thanks for askin. I had alittle scare last night and this morning with brown spotting when I wiped. Called RE this AM and they told me just to monitor and call again if increases changes to red or pass clots. So far is getting less and not more. Prayer is being answered.

Schel67 - Brown spotting always seems to rear it's evil head for us IVF ladies. I'm sure it is okay. And you got that right, about prayers being answered. I cheated last night and did a hpt test, well a LOT of hpt...LOL! They were all positive but I am being cautious and waiting for the beta tomorrow. My numbers always seem low and start to fall. But doing a lot of praying over here.

So, rest up and enjoy your weekend.

esperanza - How are you sweetie? I forgot to ask on my first post. So glad to have access to my own laptop again.

Hi Ladies:

I often come over to this thread to read the results of the end of those torturous 2wws. I pray for you all to get your BFPs. I wanted to share a little bit of my heart especially with those who have gotten BFNs...

It has been 12 years of disappointment, pain, betrayal, separation and reconciliation but with many years of faith, believing and perseverence in the face of MUCH opposition I finally got my BFP in August and both embabies decided to stick. It came down to the wire as I was 44 and I just now turned 45. Some days I still feel a little cheated because I would have preferred to be younger without all the pain involved in getting here but for us who struggle when it happens is out of our control - but 'if' it happens depends mostly on us because we need to keep going. For me, I believe having my uterus literally cleaned out with antibiotics made all the difference. My lining measurements increased and there was a cushy and clean environment when those two beautiful blasts went in (my lining was 13mm at transfer). These babies were TWELVE YEARS in the making, I am considered pretty advanced maternal age but against all odds my babies are more than half way here.

My prayers, thoughts and love are with you all... May all your dreams come true and may your perseverence never end.

Thank you Schel! Thanks for sharing all of that information, I took notes and I'm definately going to go in and talk to my dr. I really want to see what he thinks we can do different this time to get a success! I've considered accupuncture and I really think I'm going to give it a go. I think the saline sonogram is a good idea too because I might possibly have scarring from a previous procedure I had done a couple years ago. I've always had that concern.

Thanks again, hopefully I will get some answers and be back in this and ready to go for Feb!

Mrs. G- I just wanted to say how sorry I am that this did not work out for you this time. We were all praying for the best for you. You have been such a support to others here on this board, and I hope in this time, we can comfort you as much as you need. I know your time will come, so keep your head up!

Hellokitty- good luck today, let us know those numbers when you get them. Sounds good though, positive hpt's this late in the game are a good sign.

Esperanza- how you doing girl? Gearing up for next semester? It's right around the corner now....

Schel- This is only my first time with ivf, so I don't know what to expect, but everytime I go to the bathroom, I am afraid I will see spotting. That terrifies me, but I guess it is normal.

Cocoa- Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful story of inspiration and congratulations on your two miracles! You must be so excited and you are so close to holding them in your arms...

MLB- I can not believe you haven't taken an hpt yet. Let us know if you do and what the outcome is. Congrats on being so strong willed, I couldn't control myself with the hpt's.

Neffi- Isn't it crazy when you spend sooo much money on something, it boggles your mind, but this is the best expense I could think of, it will be well worth it in the long run, and atleast you got in this wonderful program...I sense good things coming your way!

To anyone I may have missed- Happy stimming! I know most of you are stimmming now and it will be very soon that we are all helping you through the 2ww and praying for bfp's!

As for me- I will continue to read and post my own updates after my 3rd beta on Wednesday. I do have a question for everyone though. At this point, how important is healthy diet? Of course it has been holiday time and I have not eaten as well as I should have. Do I need to be concerned? My dr hasn't said anything about diet to me...just curious what others think. Thanks.

Mrs. G - so sorry for you. Fingers crossed for next time. For the record - I tried acupuncture and it was not at all painful! (I went the day after transfer and then the third day after transfer). It is great that you have so many questions to ask the RE. I hope you are able to get him/her to give you all the time you need to get everything explained to your satisfaction.

Cocoa - wow what a story! Nice to hear a happy ending.

Michelle - I know what you mean about checking every time you go to the bathroom. Not fun.

Hellokitty - FINGERS CROSSED - good luck. Congrats on the positive HPT.

As for me, I took a HPT this morning (OK - it was 3:30 am, but I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep). It was a faint positive. So, at this point - cautiously optimistic. I showed DH but do not plan to tell anyone else (except you ladies) for a while. I'll test again tomorrow morning and am hoping to see a darker line.

Happy stimming to all the ladies that have started and much healing to those that are sad today.
Melissa

Hi Ladies,

I took my beta today and it is a BFP!!! My hcg level is 179. I have an appt on Monday to see if the numbers are doubling. I am sooo nervous. This is the part I truly hate. Last time, my numbers started to fall. Ladies, please pray that this little bean is here to stay. I'm trying very hard to stick to that PMA.

DH is taking me off for a celebration brunch, talk to you ladies soon.

Baby dust to all!!

Hey ladies I need your help. I had my second US and blood today. When I got my call, they stopped my Lupron and doubled my Bravelle and Menopur Injections because my blood showed that my Estrogen level were only 46 and she stated that they liked to see at least 100. I was sorta mad because this was the first bit of not so good news yet.

Can anyobe elaborate more on estrogen levels or tell me if there is anything else that I can do to help increase them. Have anyone had a cycle cancelled if the levels don't get better.

I need answers on what might happen if my levels don't go up. I go back on Monday for retest. I was hoping that my ER was next Friday or Saturday and an wondering if this would affect the cycle.

I did have 8 follies on the right and seven on the left so they are there. The nurse said that the estrogen is what makes them grow to the size that they want.

HELP!!!!!

Mrs. G--I'm so sorry hun. After all we go through with infertility and IVF, that's the last thing we want to hear. I'm glad you're very hopeful, that's the right attitude...keep at it and you will get it, however, be kind to yourself and take time to be sad. That is important as well.
