Hey ladies I need your help. I had my second US and blood today. When I got my call, they stopped my Lupron and doubled my Bravelle and Menopur Injections because my blood showed that my Estrogen level were only 46 and she stated that they liked to see at least 100. I was sorta mad because this was the first bit of not so good news yet.
Can anyobe elaborate more on estrogen levels or tell me if there is anything else that I can do to help increase them. Have anyone had a cycle cancelled if the levels don't get better.
I need answers on what might happen if my levels don't go up. I go back on Monday for retest. I was hoping that my ER was next Friday or Saturday and an wondering if this would affect the cycle.
I did have 8 follies on the right and seven on the left so they are there. The nurse said that the estrogen is what makes them grow to the size that they want.

I was cancelled for the opposite reason because my estrogen levels were too high. It sounds like your ovaries may been a little bit too low due to the lupron. The ovaries are over-suppressed and that is why they stopped your lupron shots. Doubling the stimming meds is a big nudge to get them growing a bit more. Don't be too upset because the REs tend to play with the meds somewhat during the cycle. This time around, I must have been changed almost every day to get the rght cocktail. Totally different from what I hade on all 3 cycles before.
Hope that helps you a little.

Hello Washingtonda.
I have had two cancelled cycles due to low E2 levels. My first cycle was converted to an IUI and my second cycle was worse and just ended with no hope of any procedure. We are trying again in January with the antagonist protocol. My Doctor is thinking that i have diminished ovarian reserve, which is surprising because i am only 34, which is young for that diagnosis.
I do think that you should hold out a lot of hope! My numbers were much lower than yours at the point that you are at. This change in med's might be just what your body needs to get things going.
Ivf is a roller coaster; you need to hold your head up high and be prepared for anything and everything.
I hope things turn out well for you!
