IVF success with tubal issues

Post by mspeaches1209 »

Hi ladies and Happy Holidays!!!
I was wondering if anyone could share their IVF success stories with me involving tubal issues. I had both tubes removed in Sept (due to hydros) and will be starting my first in-vitro next month. So far we think that this is our only issue, I am 27 and dh is 30. I am very open about my infertility and have heard way too many failed IVF stories lately. I am up one day about my chances and down the next. I am also prepared to do IVF more than once if we have to for our BFP!! I would just like to be able to read this post on days when I am feeling doubtful. I am sure that plenty can relate to feeling like they will NEVER become mothers. Please give me some hope!! Congratulations on all your BFP's!! Thanks in advance!!

Hey Emily..

I had one blocked tube and one open tube.. DH had male factor issues.. Good thing with IVF is that you don't need the tubes at all!! :)
We did our first IVF in June 2007.. and got a bfp!! I'm 31 weeks and 3 days pregnant today.. Due Feb 25th..

Good Luck with your cycle!! think nothing but positive thoughts and tell yourself you are pregnant until proven otherwise!! GOOD LUCK!
IVF w/ ICSI # 1 -May/June 2007- BFP!!!!

To echo what 'TTCNumber1' was saying, you really DON'T need your tubes when doing IVF. I have severe endo, so both tubes are severely damaged. Expecting my first (IVF#2), 7+ weeks along. Good luck!
Damaged Tubes; 1st IVF- BFN; 2nd IVF-BFP, our precious son :); 3rd IVF stopped due to natural miracle BFP, then mc@8 wks.; 4th IVF: June '11- BFN :( Bring On IVF#4!

HI Emily,

I too had both my tubes removed due to hydros and we also found out that my DH had an issue with his sperm. On our first IVF/ICSI attempt I got pregnant with twins. I made it to 38 weeks and 5 days and delivered two beautiful baby boys.

This process was very trying for me as they only collected 5 eggs from me which they expected so much more due to my age. I had two transfered and they others were not of good enough grade to freeze but luckily that was not needed.

Wishing you all the sucess with your journey!

Erin

Emily, I'm so glad that you wrote this post, b/c it gave me a lot of courage, well a lot more than i had. I too had my tubes removed, which were in December 2007 due to my last ectopic. So, we are getting geared up for IVf at the end of this month and beginning of March. So, I know this time will come soon. I'm just waiting as patiently as I can.
Ladies, thanks for your stories that helped me a lot. it was funny that Emily posted this b/c I was going to ask the same thing when I came over.
