Hi Louise

sorry I can't be much help, but can sympathise, my cousin spent a week of her pregnancy in hospital because her piles were so bad. She used to sit on a rubber ring or bags of frozen peas. I would go back to your doctor, or see if the hospital can recommend anything. Also, and don't want to worry you needlessly, she couldn't give birth naturally because of them and had to have a planned caesarian.

I will ask her for more info if you want?
Take care
Lisa x
Louise, oh do I empathise...I had them too, although not as bad as yours by the sound. I had one night of crying in pain and thought I'd never let my DH lay hands on me again...it helped me to read about them in the 'amusing' pregnancy books, ie. Best Friend's Guide etc. The only thing I can say is that when it came to giving birth, the midwives were completely blase about it all, I had an enema (mandatory here in Norway) and they still didn't blink. BUT they've finally gone. I agree with Lisa, get more help. Go to anywhere that can advise you. The pain is dreadful and I only hope you can find a way to relieve it. If it helps to laugh...we didn't have a bath tub, only a shower so I bought a large plastic tub to sit in for the 'Sitz' baths recommended. Great idea except once I'd sat down I couldn't get back up...I was alone - to save the indignity of my DH crying with laughter at me but ended up having to roll over and spill all the water out on the floor just to get up. I hope it passes quickly.
love
Debra.

Hi Lou,

I'm sorry to hear your having a rough time, between us we seem to having some problems. Sorry I didn't reply to your text straight away but I did after hope you got it. If I was in your shoes and they are giving you pain like they are I would say to go to the hospital and see what they have to say, you can't carry on for the remainder of your pregnancy suffering like this with the pain.

Love
Shell.
32wks 2d pg
xx
My dh had really bad piles with his pancreatitis a couple of months ago and was prescribed some cream by the doctor - not sure if they will allow you this in pregnancy but worth a try. He found sitting on the sofa on a bag of frozen peas also helped a lot - needless to say I refused to eat them afterwards!!!! beckym xxx
