I just had 3 embryos put in yesterday, new years eve. Two were great quality, one was a stinker. Something in me wants the long-shot to take, just to prove that you should never count an embryo out.
Anyway, I'm wondering if I should not go for a walk. I realize now heavylifting or say, jumping around, but how about a nice two mile walk? I can go slow enough that I don't raise my core body temperature...
I did nothing, sat in front of the television, all day yesterday, and I feel like blood flow might help me.

Me: 37 DH:40 TTC since 2005. First IVF cycle canceled. 2nd cycle BFP 1/11. DS arrived late 2008. 3rd cycle, U/s 3/7. Devastated. NO fetal pole or HB.
My advice is to put your feet up and do nothing for the next 2 weeks I would definitely wait 7 days before walking. I have done 6 cycles of IVF and the last cycle worked I am now nearly 3 months pregnant. I lay down for 8 days I really did not do much, here in France they do advise to wait until the embryo is implanted before doing much.
Anyway best of luck and I hope one of your embies stick for you. I put 4 embies back last time 2 were ok and 2 not so ok and to this day we will never know whick one took so I agree with you you never know which one will take they all have a chance in my mind.
Neeve, Do you mind me asking how many took? Are you pregnant with one or twins? I find it totally fascinating how everyone seems to be told something different, not only country by country, but also clinic to clinic.
I have been ridiculously sedentary. I am someone who usually works out 6 days a week, but stopped doing that months ago, all to achieve the dream. I gained 12 pounds of needed fat. (I used to be a triathlete) And well now I'm quite accustomed to being lazy.
I do have to go to work today though, but it's a desk job. So not a lot of activity... all the best with your pregnancy...

Only the one baby so I will never know which one of the embies took. The way they look at it here is that if conception is natural the embryos would be in the fallopian tube until the 6th day after conception. In IVF the embryos are in our uterus as early as the 2nd day of conception (which was my case) so a little more care is required. I believe that lying down helps and if I do IVF again I would do the same thing. I am not sporty like you but I do like walking and swimming and I have not done much of either since October. I have a doctors appointment next week and with the all clear I am looking forward to getting into a routine with regards to excercise. Personally the important think is that you remain happy and positive and if a walk will help you achieve that then take it easy and take your time but do do what makes you happy but do wait a few days just until implantation is over IVF takes so much out of us that there is no harm to rest.
Best of luck to you and lots of baby dust Neeve xx
lostgirl - you crack me up with that stinker stuff. On my first try, I had 2 great embies and a not so great one...I kept telling everyone I had 2 over-achievers and a runt. My DH was convinced that if one of them took, it would be the runt. I'll say a little prayer for a BFP for you. And I hope it's the stinker that sticks!
