Keisha - I am praying for you! You never know, try to have positive thoughts. I know how hard that can be. You have to hang in there and not loose hope, no matter how bleak things may look. sometimes hope is all we have to keep us going.

Sending you lots of hugs and prayers.

Good afternoon everyone,

MLB- Congrats on your beta number! That is such a high number, multiples maybe? How many days past ER are you? And I know how you feel about still being worried, one hurdle at a time...

Washingtonda- you actually take your trigger shot 36 hours before. I took mine at 10 pm on a sunday night and my retrieval was at 10 am on Tuesday, so it all sounds completely normal.

Tali- I am very sorry to hear your news, we will all be praying for a turn around by friday and that they do not cancel you

Blondzilla- I did all of my shots in my behind, well, dh did them. I was told I could do my thigh, tummy or behind and they would all react the same. They even told me to move around if I started getting sore in one spot, so I don't think it really matters.

I also can't remember who asked, by I stimmed for 10 days, no lupron. I think 10 days is pretty normal.

Mrs. G- congrats on your new cycle, we will all be praying it works for you this time.

Keisha- I am so sorry to hear your news, even though it is hard, try and keep a pma. Anything can happen and we will all be praying for you.

Esperanza- Ready for next semester? I can't believe it is coming soooo fast.

Everyone else, happy stimming. I am excited to hear everyones upcoming ER/ET reports. It looks like january will be a busy month on this thread.

As for me, I finally have more news to update you with. I had my third beta and the numbers went way up (959!). My numbers have been as follows:

Beta 1- 12/26- 44
Beta 2- 12/28- 120
Beta 3- 1/2- 959

I thought at first my numbers were low and expected only one embie took, but I had such a large increase today, now I think there is a chance it could be more than one! I don't need to be concernced with too much of an increase, do I? I am scheduled for ultrasound on Tues. afternoon, so I guess that will be when I have more info for everyone.

Schel, I am with you with the symptoms. Heartburn like crazy today, stomach has been finicky for a couple of days, with an "almost" vomit this morning. And I am exhausted, today was my first day back to work and the kids at school wore me out! I think I am going to lay down for a little catnap right now. Enjoy your day ladies!

What did he say bout the transfers, were the embryos difficult to place?
You know it was our last 2 frozen embies too and it was the first transfer were they had really great visual placment. As you know, one or two of those embies stuck!

I pray it's ur turn this time, that your embies are super strong , both survive the thaw, and then sticky vibes will attach them to your lining, then they will continue to grow and grow and grow! :)
He said everything went fine, he had no problems and they were easy to place. I'm hoping with this small change in protocol that this could be what it makes it work. Maybe there is a reason I was having to wait for these babies. :D

Good evening,
I took out a note pad so I can keep track of everyone...wow so many things going on with everyone...

Hellokitty, I sure hope your little spirit stays with you...it breaks my heart to know that you have to go thru this. try keep positive.

Tali - I sure hope that you start responding...go ovaries go! Suprefact is the nasal spray drug to put my ovaries to sleep. I feel pretty confident with the protocol my doc is using. According to the clinic's stats they have a 50% success rate vs 35% for the rest of the country.

Thanks for the info on injection sites....I think I will continue with the tummy for the Gonal and the thigh for Luveris (LH). I sure hope it gets easier as time goes on.

I am scheduled to stim for 13-14 days...not sure perhaps the drug and the individual dictates how long you stim for.

I have been stimming for 4 days and had my first blood test. The nurse said the level of hormone should be between 250-500 and I am at 630 so they reduced my dose to 225ui of Gonal and I am going in for an u/s tomorrow (2 days early). Hopefully everything will be ok.

I have found an awesome book that some of you may want to read. It is called "The couple's guide to In Vitro Fertilization" written by Liza Charlesworth. It is excellent.

Good night, time to go do some exercise.... :D

Hi All

Neffi glad things are finally happening for you it is exciting i can't wait myself.

Colesmom sorry your having a hard time with the needles and that DH is struggleing also but don't worry i'm sure by the time you get to the tummy shots you'll be a pro and won't be stressing about them 21st seems so close now hopefully i'll be there with you i don't have difinate dates yet but are hopeing to be around the same time as you.

Laglenik buserelin is that something similar to lucrin or synarel? And yes keep up that PMA anything can happen goodluck to you.

Tali its not over until it's over i responded badly on my first go and worse on my 2nd for my 2nd i had my days extended and was put on the highest dose possible and despite all the changes set backs and feeling like things weren't going to happen i ended up pregnant with my ds on that cycle so hang in there i'm hoping the best for you.

Mlb 800 beta thats excellant and btw if you were my sis inlaw i would have given you a serve also down hill skiing my goodness.please i don't want to here of anymore wild activity from you not for atleast 9 months after bub or bubbies are born.

Washintinda sorry cant help with the numbers except to say if they don't seem concerned then don't worry just go with the flow. as for your drive i can certainly sympathize i had a two and a half hour drive for my appointments one way it definately takes it out of you.

Mrs G keep up the PMA and i'll be watching for your good news to come with your feb cycle.

Ct michele Goodluck for your ultrasound on tuesday its like nothing else when you can see them on the screen for my first ultrrasound Ds was all spread out we could see everything his tiny little arms and legs it makes it all seem so real from then on hopefully you'll get a little picture of your bub .

Hello Kitty i wanted to say i'm thinking of you and sending loads of good thoughts your way just quickly i read about a women who had two embies tranfered she got a good beta thought to be a singleton pregnancy her beta started going down she was told she would miscaarry but would do another beat so see what was happening her next beta went down further she then had another beta this beta went up and then sky rocketed what had happen one implanted and then began to miscarry with the first embie the 2nd one implanted very late and then split to identical twins so she went from having one baby to thinking she would have none and then ended up with twins i thought i would share this to give you a little hope it goes to show anything can happen and you just need to hang in there so all the best and i hope you hear some good news soon.

catch u all later Jomaexxx

Hello ladies,

Back again after a month of MIA. I haven't been able to catch up on all that I've missed but hope you're all doing well and had a good time during the festive season.

I've been through my cycle, and unfortunately AF showed up the day before test date. I've been in tears and pain since then. But the doc is intent on hurting me more and says I should still go for a blood test. Why do I want to go through that when I know the result?

Well, hope that this new year brings in good news for all of us. Catch up with you soon.

Just wanted to post a quick note to say that my follies are growing right along. I now have 16 verses 15 and I have 3 measuring 16 3 measuring 15 and some measuring 13. This is almost a jump of 3-6 points since yesterday's visit. They are thinking I may trigger on Saturday or Sunday.

Waiting on call regard my estrogen levels. All seem to be on track and I'm getting excited. One more day in the office and I am on leave for my procedure next week if all goes well these next few days.

Evryone keep praying!!!!

OH all the BFPS!!! are nicely posted on our boards. We're batting over 60%.

Hello friends,

Wow! lots going on over here!

I've been reading and trying to keep up with everybody. DH and I went to Boston for a couple of days to visit friends and family for the new year :D We had a good time and ate lots of good food. I LOVE to eat!

Tali--I'm rooting for you friend. Grow follies, grow! I'm really hoping that the high dose they're giving you will boost your E2. Miracles do happen, so keep the PMA. I look forward to your update tomorrow.

Keisha--baby, I feel for you. I'm so sorry you're going through this, but I am still hopeful. You're certainly not hurting the babies, this is not your fault, if anything you've been giving your little ones a lot of love and attention. You deserve to be a mom, and you will become one. God bless you.

Angel505--I was wondering about where you were. Sorry to hear about AF  I don't want to sound overly positive, but I read the story of another woman in this forum that didn't go for her test because she got AF; when she went back to the Dr for a follow up about a month later, the doctor insisted on giving her the test, and guess what? she was pregnant and went on to have a healthy baby. KEEP THE PMA. go for your test and let us know. Sending LOVE and SUPPORT your way :)

Jomae--How are you doing? it's always good to read your postings.

Michelle--how's the little one? how are you feeling? I know I don't want to think about next semester yet. I actually don't start until the end of January because my school has inter-term :D

Colesmom--sorry about the needles. My dh doesn't like needles but he had to push himself to help me. To be honest, I can do it myself (as I've had to do it anyway in a few occasions), but I really wanted him to be involved some how. It has done the trick because now he is much more invested in the whole process...I've given him a few lectures about it LOL...I feel like a biology teacher...LOL Last night we went to a Basketball game and we had to get the shots done in our car :o

MLB--yoohoo!!! yeah girl!!! :D  Downhill skiing? what? take care of the little one (s)

WashingtonDA: how is it going? I'm glad your numbers went up. I hear you about the drive, we also have to do a bit a driving, but just think about that little baby in your arms

Mrs G--you are my inspiration. What a great positive attitude. You'll be such a cool mom. Your (future) children are so blessed to have a mama like you! I'm happy to hear about your new cycle. BABY DUST!

To the rest of my ladies...what up?

As for me, I'm stiming away! I started to feel really bloated a couple of days ago...ufff...I swear I could feel my ovaries being touched by the ultrasound machine, God! My RE said that I'm stiming very well
 He lowered my dose of Follistim to 100. I'll go back on Friday to check. PMA, PMA!

HUGS to all

Aww thank you so much. I'm glad that I am in some way being helpful, I know just how hard this process is. I have my fair share of many sleepless nights and breakdowns where I thought what if this never happens?

I just come to realize you can't do that to yourself. I know I am personally never giving up on this dream if it means i had to do this 200 times, so be it. I know it would all be worth it in the end. I hope that it happens soon for our financial sake and possibly mental state because each time it does tend to take its toll. To any woman that is forced to deal with the slightest fertility problem and trying to get pregnant. Never give up. You ALL deserve your dream and you will all be wonderful parents! :D

Hi Ladies,

Michele - Great beta numbers... Can't wait to hear about your u/s report.

Mrs. G - Glad to see that you have a plan and will be starting again. DH and I have already decided if this is not our time, we are waiting a few months and then we are going to try with our frozen embie babies.

Neffi211 - Glad that you get to start stimming soon!

blondezilla - Sounds like you are off to an awesome start. The REs will play with your meds to get you the right cocktail so sounds like this one is working. How sweet that you keep a notepad to keep up with this thread. Got to admit it is one of the busiest ones that I have been on, gotta like that!

Jomae - Thanks for the story. So sweet of you to share. Miracles can happen.

Angel505 - I'm so sorry that it did not work out for you. But still please go for beta. I've heard too many stories of women who get some bleeding and they still get a positive on the beta. My aunt, had 4 kids, the last two she had a period for 3 months. So, it could be the other way for you. But trust me, I understand your pain and you have every right to express it but please go for your beta!

washingtonda - You are doing awesome....great follie count. Seem like it took me forever to get numbers that look like that. Don't think you will have an estrogen problem.

esperenza - Glad to know you enjoyed your vacation. Sorry your feeling so bloated. I understand about the ovaries being very sensitive with that u/s wand. I had this RE, man of course, who seems to hit every last follicle. I would end being at the top of the table before the exam was over! :P

Thanks for all of your kind words. As for me, I'm doing well. Let me tell you that at some point or another, this process will make you have tears. I am the PMA queen but sometimes you gotta say what the heck is going on and let yourself grieve for all the things that this evil infertility disease tries to steal from you....not conceiving like all your friends, (best friend from school, cousin, sister, aunt), not being able to go to a baby shower without someone saying hey your not pregnant yet, or plastering a smile on your face and telling close family members that it didn't work this time. Important thing for me is to acknowledge that and get back up. So, I'm up today. Dh and I decided to take a break if it is not our time this time around, we will be getting back in the game after 3 months with our frozen embie babies. Got hit but not knocked out.

Baby dust and happy stimming to all of you lovely ladies.

Hi ladies,

Thanks for your kind words and encouragement. Unfortunately it is truly over as confrimed by the blood test results. Its a definite BFN for me. :(

I've had heavy bleeding. Its the 7th day today and is just about slowing down. Did anyone else experience that after a failed IVF?

Sorry for bringing the mood down with my misery. I forgot to say congrats to all the ladies who got their BFP. Well done. Your BFP gives hope to the rest of us.

This weekend I want to try and recover. Have to go for my husband's aunt's funeral and see a friend who got a baby. Both are depressing in different ways and I'm not sure if I'm up to either.

Enjoy your weekend.
