CT_Michele wrote:Schel- I did a fresh cycle, ER on 12/11, ET on 12/14 with 3 day embryos. I will be 6 weeks 1 day pregnant, which I guess is technically since LMP, even though I haven't seen AF for months. (I never got AF after BCP and before stimming) So I guess my date of conception would be my date of ER??? Either way, if what you read is correct, then I will be a few days shy of seeing the heartbeat, so I will probably see it the following week. So if I can't see the heartbeat, what might I see? Thanks for the info, it definitely eases my wait until Tuesday.
CT_Michelle,
I'm not saying you won't see the heartbeat, I did a bit more research and read about heartbeats being seen during 5 week ultrasound. So, it is possible you might see it. I just wouldn't be that worried if you don't. you should still see an ultrasound similar to mine, or any other 6 week ultrasound. You can do a google search on 6 week ultrasound to view a few others. I wish I could be of more help but I'm tired and I can't seem to recall any more info off the top my head. Baby dust to you Image

Angel, after my BFN, my AF was heavier and longer. I think it was because of the progesterone shots, they thincken up the lining. Sorry about your BFN, keep thinking positive. -chriss

Hi ladies!!!

Just wanted to post a quick update. I had a doc appointment today and received some good news.

I had a good number of mature follies, my estrogen level was 3306 and they said all looked great so I trigger TONIGHT!!!!

I am scheduled for ER on Monday at 11:45am EST so wish me luck. I am so excited. I must admit that I am a little nervous about the trigger shot that I have to take tonight but I'm so happy to have made it this far so what is another poke.

Will post results as soon as I am able to on Monday. Please pray with me that the follies continue to progress over the next two days and that as many as they collect fertilize.

My doc haven't talked to me about how many to transfer back. I'd love to do three but I think my frame may be too small to safely carry three babies. I'm gonna at least beg for two and not settle with anything less.

Wish me luck ladies!!!!

Can someone who is more familiar with what everyone is doing update our list. I would love to know who would be in the same two week wait as I so we can scream, cry, pray and laugh together. I assume my retrieval will be one day towards the end of the week whether it be a 3 or 5 day transfer.

Anyone else starting two week wait starting the end of the week?

IVF #1: POSITIVE - Michaela born 9/19/08
IVF #2: Consult on 10/13/09 - Start BCP Dec since clinic will be closed for the Holiday.

Where did you get the info you can hear the heartbeat at 5/6 weeks?.....I've read you can see it, and I saw mine, but I didn't get to hear it.

What a busy few days for everyone. So many ladies getting close to the big ER! Looking forward to fert reports.

Shel - what a beautiful pic. SO exciting.

Washingtonda - It is wonderful to see your body responding as it should (?!?) after a scare. Perhaps that is a sign that this is your cycle.

Esperenza - You are almost there girl. Told you it would go quickly. AND your 2ww will probably fall during the start of the semester which is so crazy anyway that time will fly. Don't worry about OHSS - the side effects are not plesent, but I have never seen a case where they actually stop a cycle. You just get an additional drug after retrieval to discourage blod clots and extra bloating for a bit.

Tali - I still think this cycle might work out for you. If not, as you said now you know what this whole IVF thing entails and the next cycle won't be as nerve wracking and they can change your meds to something that will work better for you.

Hellokitty - FINGERS CROSSED. Good luck, we are all pulling for you.

I got my second beta Friday and it doubled 800 to 1750. Actually, it would be more similar to a 4th beta since my original beta was scheduled for a saturday and I didn't actually get tested until Wed. (so, first would have been Sat 10 days after ET and 14 after ER, then Mon then Wed.) My ER was Saturday Dec 15 and I did a 3 day transfer on Tues Dec 18 (3 embryos of unknown quality). My ultrasound is scheduled for Wed and I can't wait. I was offered a job (postdoc) Friday and I told the researcher since I would basically be working for 2 mo then taking off for however long. He said that he still thought he would want to hire me but that he would think about it.

I wish I 'felt' more pregnant. I still have some bloating from the hyperstimulation, so I cannot jog comfortably (even though my RE said it was ok). I DID NOT go skiing with DH yesterday. Otherwise, just a bit more tired than normal. I get strange cramps sometimes that make me worry that it will all be over soon, but it is still hanging in.

GOOD LUCK to all the ladies doing ER this week. Hopefully your DH can go with you - it freaked mine out to see me under anesthesia and made him realize how serious this whole process is!

Did the trigger shot last night and it was a piece of cake. I sorta felt like maybe we did something wrong because it didn't hurt at all, it's not sore and I'm having no symptoms.

Yesterday was a tough day as I was in the bed most of the day. Stomach was bloated. I was in and out of the bathroom all day actually. Just felt yuky.

Today I'm feeling much better just wondering whether we did things right last night with the trigger shot.

Can anyone who had the trigger tell me whether there were any after affects or if you think I'm okay.

I just thought I would feel more of that long needle going in and I didn't. It never really felt like it went into a muscle but it was all the way in.

Help!!!

Good Morning Everyone!

Washingtonda- Good luck with ER tomorrow, much baby dust to you! I think we must have had a different kind of trigger shot. The needle for my was a tiny bit longer than my other injections, but I did not have to go into a muscle for any shoys I took, so it was pretty easy for me too. I felt pretty good the day after except for a lot of bloating.

MLB- Good job on not going skiing. And good luck on u/s. Mine is on tues., so we are one day apart. Don't worry about not feeling pregnant. I worried and actually talked to my doc about it. They said it is completely normal to feel normal. They said a lot of people don't feel any symptoms util 6 or 7 weeks and some don't get any at all. I didn't start getting any real symptoms until this week, besides for being tired, which I had bee all along.

Schel- Thanks for doing that research about the heartbeat. I really hope I can see it, but I know if it is not there tuesday, it will probably be there the following week. When do you go back for another ultrasound? Just curious what comes next.

I know there are a lot of ladies getting close to ER! Baby dust to you all and we can't wait to hear your reports.
