Worried about food...

Post by Lisa Ch »

Hi
I was just wondering if anybody else ate like a pig, I am only 6 weeks (and 3 days) and can't stop eating. Some days I can't decide if I feel sick or hungry. I haven't been sick at all, but am eating for about 10 people, I am going to be as fat as a horse. Is this only me????

Thanks Lisa xx

Hi Lisa,

Let me reassure you its not just you I was completely like you. The thing is its kind of weird because I couldn't stop eating but then I was feeling sick etc.... To be honest its no good worrying about your weight you will lose it when you have had the bab. People used to say to me at work can't you stop eating and the truth was I couldn't. To be honest I used to feel better when I was eating things because if I wasn't eating I was feeling sick so just try to eat little and often though.

Love
Shell.
32wks 2d pg
xx

Im the opposite, I cant eat, the thought of food, the look of food turns my stomach, finding it very hard, lost half a stone already, but was told not to worry and to make up for it later on in the pregnancy.

Tracy x (8 weeks)

Hi Lisa. Snap! Am also eating like a horse and find it combats the nausea - though it didn't yesterday morning, when I couldn't eat much at all. Apart from that am eating everything in sight - healthy and not healthy!! beckym xx

I'm the same way as Tracy, I can hardly stand the thought of food!
Haven't been eating much fruits or veggies, can't handle stand the thought of them. I've been eating alot of starchy foods like potatoes, bread, yogurt etc..Hope I'm getting enough vitamins for baby! But I do not have much of an appetite..

Annette xx

Starcy food seems to work for me too Annette, hooked on bread, but then always was. Some days are better than others, but its not a healthy diet at the moment I try to eat whatever I fancy when I feel hungry.

I have been craving jacket potatoes with cheese and beans, copious amounts of satsumas which have to be really cold from the fridge and ice pops! Fruit teas instead of normal tea but have now been told not to have raspberry tea as this apparently makes your uterus stretch or something which is not good if you are PG. I'm not sure I believe it but stopped drinking it anyway. Other flavours are ok.

Love Dagny x

I too ate like there was no tomorrow in the first few weeks and managed to put on over a stone in weight when all the books say about 2-3lb!!! I blame all the drugs I'm on! lol.
However in the last few weeks my appetite has settled and I'm only wanting small meals and a few snacks!
Di
15weeks
