schel67, I think your fine, I already have a son and that is about the same time I had brown blood with him. The Dr. told me at that time it is a good sign. The body is preparing for a healthy pregnancy. I know when it happens to me again this time around I will get worried all over again. Try to relax and let your body work. My prayers are with you.

Good Morning all,

Shel – Love the pic - I totally agree with all the other ladies that brown blood is OK. Keep watching it, but I am sure it is nothing

MLB – Glad you did not go skiing again – you have to take care of the little bean! I am sure in no time, you will feel very pregnant.

Washingtonda – Good luck – I am sure everything will go well and they will retrieve lots of beautiful eggs.

Esperenza – Yay – How did the trigger shot go? Sending you lots of baby dust.

Hellokitty – Good luck tomorrow. Sending you lots of sticky baby vibes

Blondzella – I also have CM and am on my 10th day of stimming. It is pretty normal. Hope this week goes well and you will have ER on the 12th

As for me – more slow progress. I am on day 10 of stimming and my E2 doubled yesterday. But the follicles are still too small. My RE’s protocol is for 4 mature follicles in order to continue with the IVF. I have 3 growing at a good rate right now and with the E2 increasing so much, I am hoping that the follies will double in size by tomorrow. I am going to insist that they go forward with the cycle with 3 mature follies (if we are lucky enough and they grow). Please send lots of growing thoughts my way! Are there any other poor responders with any advice for me?

Good luck to everyone with ER this week. Sending you lots of positive thoughts.

Xoxo

To my lovely ladies --

Just got home and happy to say that they retrieve 19 great follicles. The doc told my fiance that they were all of very good size and looked great.

When I came to she said that everything looked wonderful.

Esperanza and Blondzella - It's your turn next. The procedure was a piece of cake. I only had some pain in my left side but the doc told me that was the side that had the most follies so they worked that side alot more than the right side. They gave me some warm compresses which helped alot and a prescription for Darvacet which took effect immediately so I feel pretty good considering what my body went through today.

Now it's feriliztion time. We should receive a call from our nurse tomorrow to let us know how they are progressing and where we go from here. ET will being either Thursday (3 day) or Saturday (5 day). Will keep you posted.

Schel -- Glad you are doing better. I knew you would be okay.

To everyone else. Good luck with all that you are doing.

Question -- Anyone have any suggestions for the Progesteron oil shots. I start those injections tonight. Are they as easy as all the rest? Is there anything that I can do to make them easier or to reduce the soreness.

Also I have an accupuncture appt tomorrow at 3:00pm. Do you'll think this is okay. Just want to make things better for ET?

Well I'm gonna log off to get some rest but I'll definately keep you gals updated.

MUCH BABY DUST TO ALL OF US!!!

Washingtonda: Yayy! 19 eggs is fantastic! I cant wait to hear what they say tomorrow. I dont have any advise other than I heard to ice the area for 15 minutes first before doing the progesterone shot. I have heard several ladies say that they had accupuncture while waiting for ET to happen...but check with your doc on it. Lots of baby dust to you! Go get some rest now! :D

Schel67 - I am so glad you heard the heart.....is that not the most amazing experience? I think it would be very exciting and I can not wait when it is my turn. I guess I now know that a little bleeding is somewhat normal. I bet you are relieved.

WahingtonDA- 19 follies...at your lovely mature age ( ok I am 1 year older than you  ) that is excellent!! I went for a u/s today and I have 16 cooking away, my ER is likely friday or saturday. The nurse said at our age that is a great number...considering the norm is much less.. She also mentioned that your ovaries go from the size of a walnut to the size of a grapefruit...can u say bloated!!
Were you completely out for your ER? So your pain was after the procedure? I am glad drugs helped you. The progesterone shots.....is it similar to the stims or is it in the muscle? Could you not do suppositories?

Tali - I am sorry to hear that your follies are not growing quickly....perhaps they will pick up the pace....but then again it only takes one to make a baby!

That is so wonderful!! I'm sooo very happy for you and will now be praying for a high fertility rate. I can't wait to hear how many zygotes there are tomorrow!

Tips I have for PIO shots:

1. insert needle quick like a dart (practice on an orange if needed)
2. Use a Z track method (To form the Z track at the injection site, pull the skin and subcutaneous tissue about 1 inch (2.5 cm) to the side. Hold the skin in this position until you've administered the injection.
(This creates a Z pattern and traps the medicine in the muscle where it is absorbed)
3. Apply pressure to area and Rub area after injection (helps spread and absorb medicine and minimize posible brusing)
4. Apply heating pad or heated wrap of some sort to area after injection. ( Helps with absorbtion )
5. alternate sites of injection (right and left)
6. Always remember to pull back on the syringe to check if you hit a blood vessel before injecting (if you do hit one and see blood, remove needle and apply pressure to reduce bruising and try again at another spot with a new needle)

I give myself my shots in the mirror and they never bothered me.

Yes I am again on cloud nine! :D . I was really worried not only cuz of the bleeding but my boobs also stopped feeling even a little bit sore and I don't feel sick anymore. I guess I should just count myself lucky 8) .

Ok so here is my best picture from today. I think it grew bigger in just a couple days. Now it looks just like the picture on the ticker....just not as vivid  ( I think the dots he marked on it are to mark the yolksac)

Thank you ALL for being so supportive....I appreciate each one of you. You are all such warm wonderful ladies, every one of you will make a great mom.....cuz one very importart lesson we have all learned through IVF is to have patience. I am happy to be sharing our journey together.

Hearing the heartbeat was totally amazing, it overwhelmed me with joy and made me cry. I can't wait for you to see and hear yours too!
Yes it is good to know that all bleeding isn't the same. brown or pink not considered too bad. The amount of bleeding is also a factor. Spotting a bit also not considered too bad. All bleeding still should be reported to your dr., and it probably will still be scary if it happens again even after knowing what I've learned.
