Washingtonda - Congrats on the large number of follies and can't wait to hear the fert report. To comment on your question, I did acupuncture the day after ET and two days after that. My RE strongly recommends it - the nurse talked to me about it right before ER. My insurance didn't cover it, but since they cover most other stuff DH and I figured that we would take the financial risk and go for it. It didn't hurt and I got a BFP.....

Shel - SO great to se the pic. I can see a little head and limb buds. Really cool.

Good luck to all the ladies that are stimming right now and getting very close to ET.

Schel - I knew you would pull through. Can't wait to post my pics (smile).

To all of my other pregnant mama's give us an update.

Esperanza/Blondzella -- This is our week.

Blondzella - 16 eggs is a great number especially if you have a few more days to go. I went in thinking that we had 16 because that was the last count but the doc told me that there were three more hidding in the back. Those i'll consider as my stinkers. Those will be the ones that will stick and latch on forever. (Gotta think positive - smile)

My doc thought that things looked great yesterday. I got alot of praise there. Maybe because I am an old biddy and just didn't realize. Well I guess you'll can see that I am on cloud nine today. Feeling great and praying for more good news today.

Oh- I did have one concern. Not sure if this is TMI but this is wahat we are hear for. To ask questions and share stories.

My fiance was concerned because he said he didn't ejaculate a whole lot yesterday. Maybe he was nervous or maybe because we did what we could leading up to it because we knew we would be down for a while (smile). They told him it was fine to keep at it up until two days before ER and we were given instruction for him to do it on Saturday night which was 2 days before ER. I think we may have over done it (yeeks).

Hope this doesn't harm anything as I had 19 beautiful follies that were looking to be fertilized. (smile)

Anyone else experience this and was okay with fertilization?

Hi Ladies,

Schel - Soooo glad everything turned out okay. That is an awesome ultrasound. To hear and see the heartbeat is what it is all about. It seems like you let out a big sigh of relief. Continue to enjoy it, how long before we get to know the sex? Are you going to wait to the baby is born? I couldn't handle it to wait that long. So happy for you :D :D !!!!

Washingtonda - 19 FOLLIES......YAHOOOO! Can't wait to hear the fert report!!

Tali - I am a slow responder too. I always ended up stimming for about 12 days. So maybe they will push it out a little further. But I am praying that they catch up soon.

Amy2410 - Good luck on your thyroid test today!

Neffi211 - AF never cooperates when she is supposed too. I spotted too but never got AF. My RE checked my uterine linings and levels so we started on schedule. Hope AF shows soon.

esperanza - Good luck today on your retreival! Can't wait to get that fert report!

blondzella - Rooting for those follies to grow!!!

Michele - Can't wait for your ultrasound :D :D !!!

MLB - Soo glad that your numbers doubled right on schedule. Can't wait to hear about your ultrsound on Wednesday!!!

Baby dust to all!!

Hello All,

Schel – Yay, I knew everything would turn out OK for you. That is amazing that you heard the heartbeat. Thanks for posting the photos

Washingtonda – That is one great report girl – I am so happy for you.

Neffi211 – I hope AF shows soon. Isn’t amazing that she never acts the way we want her to?

esperanza – Looking forward to a great report from you@

blondzella – Grow follies grow!

HelloKitty – Good luck on your u/s today. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way.

As for me another down day – only one of my 3 follies grew, waiting to get my e2 results, if they don’t increase dramatically, we have to decide what to do. My RE will urge us to convert to IUI. But with the success rates so low, I have a feeling we will get disappointed again. I was so excited on Sunday because my E2 doubled and the follies were all showing growth at the same rate. This is such a roller coaster.

Tali - I am so sorry that it seems that your follies are not growing as quickly as before. I know it is a hard decision to make choosing IUI or IVF. Still rooting for things to turnaround for you.

Colesmom - Glad to hear that you don't have anything standing in your way. Good Luck. Do you know what meds you will be taking? The lupron and stimming meds are usually pretty easy.

washingtonda - 14 EMBIES!!! WOOOHOO girl, that is an awesome report! Hope many of your embies make it to blast! :D

As for me, just got back from my u/s. After praying a special prayer for our embie, me and dh were still a nervouse wreck. The RE gave us the speech about not looking good and that we had 4 precious embies frozen and waiting for us. I told her how the nurse said I should expect a m/c over the weekend and that I didn't have a drop of spotting. DH added that it was not appropriate to tell me that over the phone. My RE mouth fell open because apparently that is not their protocol. My husband reminded her that this was the second time that someone on staff dropped a bomb on us over the phone. The RE said it would be handled just as it was before, last time the person was let go. That is not what I wanted and told told her that maybe that coordinator (not even a nurse) should not have contact with the patients when sensitive information has to be discussed. That's all done...finally do the u/s. The RE said we should see a gestational sac only at this point. DH screamed out, "There it is!" And thank you Lord he was right! The RE was excited, the nurse was excited and all I can say was "I don't see it!" and started to cry. So, she pointed it out and zoomed in a little more. She said we have a gestational sac and a yolk sac. I am so thankful that our little baby is hanging in there. We did bloodwork but I won't find out until tomorrow because we were the last couple of the day. My RE says we will rely more on the u/s and the development of the baby. So, I am happy and I am going to enjoy today. Next hurdle is the heartbeat but I am not going to stress out. Thank you all soo very much for your thoughts, prayers, and support.

Baby dust to all.

Hi my dears,

A quick report. Dh and I went to our ER this morning and everything went great, knock on wood! They got 17 eggs, let's wait and see how many of those fertilize

It sounded as if we are not going to get a report until Thursday afternoon. We might do a 3 or 5 days transfer...not sure yet.
I've been sleeping for the most part, and drinking lots of liquid. A bit sore on my left side, but nothing terrible. Man! I noticed this morning when they weighed me that I've gained about 6 pounds since I started this process  :? oh well, I guess it will only get "worse" from here after getting pregnant.

WashingtonDA: Yoohooo!!!! great numbers.
Talking about sperm, let me tell ya...   DH and I did it for "the last time" a couple of nights ago because of the ER. Well, guess what? he was so focused and nervous about having the best quality sperm, etc that he ended up ejaculating overnight in his sleep. He doesn't even recall having a dream or anything. Can you believe that? he was so concerned and embarrassed this morning when he had to tell the lab person. Poor guy! I was a bit upset at first (of course I didn't tell him), I'm thinking "ok, there are SO many things I HAVE HAD to remember and DO, and the only thing you're supposed to do, you mess it up!" but then I felt compassion for him   I had to go into the collection room with him because he was feeling really shy and awkward, but after I gave him a hand  we collected our magic sample.....LOL maybe TMI but I think it's funny.

Schel--good to see your little bean again. Blessings to you both.

Tali--I'm praying for you and your follies to grow

MLB, Michelle, and Keisha --how are my other mamas doing? I want to hear about ultrasounds!

Blondzella--

Neffi--I'm doing the AF dance for ya right now (kind of gently 'cause I'm in bed, LOL)

For the rest of my ladies...thank you for the love and support, I can certainly feel it. Much love to you too!

Can anyone tell me about cells and grades. Also if they told me 14 fertilized, can any of them die out or do they just not all get to good grades.

I am worrying now if when I get my call will they tell me I have a different number because something has happened to some of them.

Any info on what happens during fertilization would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone,

Sorry it took me so long to post, but I really needed to wind down from the day. I went for my first u/s today....and drumroll please.....I have one bean. DH was expecting 2, but I kinda guessed from the numbers it was one. We could see the sack and a tiny tiny little dot, which I assume is the baby. I have to go back next thursday and he said we should be able to see a heartbeat then. Even though I am six weeks, he said today's u/s was just to see how many babies and to make sure they were in a good spot.

It was a little scary because I bleed after I got home. They did a vaginal u/s and I called when I got home, they said bleeding was normal b/c the cervix was adjatated from the probe, but it still made me nervous.

Schel- How did you post your pic? I scanned mine so I could post it and it is saved on my computer, but I can not figure out how to do it. Great u/s pic from today, by the way, I can't wait until I can hear or see more.

Washingtonda- Great fert report! All I know about the grades and cells is that at 3 days, 8 celled was best, I think. That is what my dr told me. You can lose some, I started with 5 that fertilized and then had 4 on day of transfer.

Keisha- Great news! We were all praying and we told you to keep that pma because anything can happen!

Esperanza- congrats on making it to er, and we can't wait to hear the report. Rest up and stay hydrated.

Everyone else, keep stimming and good luck on upcoming er's. Esperanza and Washintonda, have a sip of something to celebrate and enjoy that last sip, cuz you will be bfp soon!

I will post my u/s pic as soon as I figure out how.
