Help!! Passing dark stuff

Hello,
I wonder if anybody has experienced the same and ended up having a healthy pregnancy. Let me tell you a little bit about me: my first beta was 17d after 2d ET and it was 1600. 2 days later it was 3200. My RE was very happy and said it looked like a healthy prg. A couple of days later I started to pass a very dark (almost black) kind of tissue and was sure I was m/c (I had a m/c 6 mo ago with the same kind of discharge). Since it happened in the middle of the new year holiday, I couldn't get in touch with my nurse and decided to wait. I didn't think anything could be done at that point anyway. As soon as she was back in office, she called and asked if I had had cramping or bleeding. I said no, only what I had already described and my breast tenderness was fading away. She ordered a new hcg (5days after the last one) and it was 18000. She reassured me that I was still very pregnant, but I don't believe it. The passing of tissue got worse that day (in both amount and size), and then stopped. Now I have to wait until my U/S in 1 week, but I'm going crazy here. I had convinced myself that I had a m/c and now I don't know what to think. Can anybody help?

Hi lulis, sorry your having a bad time, i know its difficult but try to stay positive. How many did you transfer? it could be one of the other embies that did not implant coming away. I had a bit of spotting on and off over the first 7 weeks, an panicked every time, but at my 6w US they saw a small clot, at around 7 weeks i had bright red blood and a clot come away, i have had no show since and at my 8w US the clot was no longer visible. i am now almost 12weeks with twins.please keep the faith.

I had 3 embryos transfered, but the problem is the lack of symptoms and that I couldn't say I passed was blood. I think it was something else, I don't know. Anyway, I'll try to stay neutral, not to have any hope.

Lulis. I feel for you, I just went through a similar thing. I bled at 5 weeks, went to the ER and the ultrasound showed a gestational sac at appropriate size for dates. My RE told me to stay at home off my feet and wait 8 DAYS for another ultrasound. Nobody could tell me if I was still pregnant. It was hell. Just sitting and waiting, not knowing if I could be excited about being pregnant or if our little embie already left us.

So, I totally relate to how you are feeling. I didn't have a happy ending but I have read so many things about bleeding in pregnancy and how common it is. I don't have any advice on how to stay positive cause I didn't handle that well but I can say that whatever happens there has to be a reason for it, our bodies are good at taking care of what needs to be. I truly hope you have a happy ending and are holding your new baby in a few months.
