My ER is 1/30 and ET 2/5

Does anyone have PCOS? I guess I'm on borderline PCOS and my accupuncture lady told me today that when you have PCOS you're borderline diabetic  is this true?? That's scary. I thought it was no big deal., but it sounds like it is. She said to cut out all complex carbs and eat whole foods like wheat grain, fruits, veggies...

I guess no one else has heard of the 12hr rule on the stim meds? I don't know if they need to be exactly 12hrs apart or at least 12mths apart (which i think sounds more right). I will find out at my u/s on the 17th.

What time of the day are you guys doing Lupron? I think I decided on 7pm...

Now I'm worried about Menopur hurting!! My nurse did say that the alcohol will make it sting if it isn't dry completely, but is there anything that can be done to make Menopur less painful??

I have PCOS and the accupuncturist is correct. It is like being bordeline diabetic. Are you taking metformin? I've been on that medication for over a year now. It helps break down the sugars that we consume. I haven't cut out all carbs, but I try to limit what I eat.

WooHoo!!! I just took my last bcp :D I hated taking those things. I just never remembered when or if I took them. Even years ago, when I was on them, I would always have to flip the case open to see if I had taken one or not. But I must admit, I have the strangest body known to me and my friends. The ONLY upside to the bcp was that for the 19 years I was on them, I kept my weight down. Crazy, huh? I gpt off of them 2x. And both times I gained 10 lbs.

I hope everyone is having a great day

Hey girls! I am such a doofus. Last night I prepared my Lupron injection then I sat down, stabbedmyself and remembered I forgot to ice myself!! It actually didn't hurt, I barely felt it, but it freaked me out for a second b/c I was like, Man now this is gonna hurt, and i was waiting for the pain but it wasn't there!

The nurse emailed me back and said take only Tylenol for headaches and that the date of the ER and ET will be the week of Jan 28! That seems a long way off - I don't want to have to do injections for that long! But I guess 11 days is pretty normal.

Ok, I have to confesss I have spent the greater part of the morning looking at baby wraps (baby slings) and reading up on diaperless babies! I actually feel like I am pg already! Sometimes I try to protect myself from the possible hurt of a BFN, but not this time! I am staying positive with pg thoughts and will deal with disappointment later if necessary!

I hope all of you have fantastic days. ANother lazy one ahead for me :)

Mia: Seems like our dates are the same :D I have yet to ice my tummy before a shot and so far DH has done fairly well with giving me the injections. But after reading some of the posts, I am a bit nervous about the Menopur stinging. We shall see. Of course my biggest fear is the trigger shot and the POI shots that follow. Did you find any nice baby wraps? If you did, where?

Weezie: I had a lot of probs with Menopur - but that is b/c I had to use the needle for an IM shot. I was overseas and the doctor was like just instert the needle a little, uh, hello the thickness of that needle compared to the subq ones is HUGE! I survived it. I wonder what the difference would have been with the right needle. Plus I didn't wait for the alcohol to dry - no one ever suggested that, duh.. There are some really great websites on babywraps. wrapyourbaby.com has videos on how to do it with just fabric. mayawrap.com has really pretty wraps. I was also reading up on diaperless babies. Where you train your infant to go pee over the toilet  . It sounds like alot of work, but well worth it. Some people even video taped their babies peeing over the toilets after they here commands like pepepepepep or ssssssssssssss. It is really amazing!! Of course there is the down side of them pooping and peening on the carpets  We'll see. I guess first I should focus on getting pregnant!

I made myself a healthy smoothie this morning. strawberries, banana, milk, and organic whoole milk yogurt! yummy! I'm not a big milk drinker so this helps me get in my calcium, plus I think yogurt has other benefits, right?

It is a beautiful sunny day today, maybe I will go for a walk :)

Mia: thanks for the baby wrap info. It's a great day here too. In fact I just went to the gym and cycled (very slowly) for 30 minutes. Then I took my pekingese for a brisk 15 minute walk.
I can't believe you had to use those big ass needles for the menopur! :o Well I guess that explains the pain.
Have a great day :D

Weezie and Kildean: I just took my last bcp last night! Yayy! I am soo happy to be done with those. :D

WaitingforMia: That smoothie sounds soo good. Can you send me one? LOL  The 28th does sound a little long to me. I bet you will go sooner than that. I dont know why. Just seems like you would. :D

Bat21: I still dont know about the 12 hour thing. I will know when I go Friday. Ask me again then...if I forget to tell you. I am thinking 7:30 am and 7:30 pm.

I am definetly gonna look into a baby wrap. I have a prosthetic shoulder that was replaced due to a car accident 10 years ago. I have a little bit of limited use of my left arm...so I know a baby wrap...is just the thing for me. 8)

To all girls: Any symptoms yet from the meds?

I am completely flushed, my face is so red and hot, the rest of my body feels fine, it is cold here. I can't get rid of this red hot face! Also my mouth has felt like cotton mouth... I am on Follistim and Menopour, aspirin and Medrol now.

If anyone has any more tricks on how to do Menopour please tell me. I had to do a 150 dose (2 vials of powder) in 1 ml and when DH injected it burned like hell. The follistim, same size neddle is a breeze, I will trade one menopour shot for 10 of Follistim if I could. I iced it for a while but nothing gets rid of the burning, we waited for the alcohol to dry off.

Diaperless baby - wow - never even heard of that!

Can you girls stop exercising? You are making me feel guity ;)

Mia- you are one tough cookie injecting yourself and having taken Menopour in an IM needle!!!
