Backy-- Thanks again for the words of encourgment!! I seem to go through bits of worrying on and off.. Have been feeling good also over the weekend because I was busy it does seem to help. My scan on Dec. 4th is an 8wk. scan - can hardly wait.. Hope everyone else is doing well!! Annette xx 6wks 2days

Hi everyone thanks Di and Nicola. Well for the first time ever I said 'I am pregnant' today. Seems wierd, half of my tooth fell out at the weekend so had to go for a filling, he couldn't do the normal type so has put something else in. I had to write the date i was due July 2004, yikes!! Just 10 days to go to the scan, this seems to last sooooo much longer than the 2ww. Vicki how are you? Beckym and Phil and Annette - hope you are all feeling fab, any symptoms yet?? I have just got boulder boobs!! Take care and keep posting Love lisa x

hi all, i have some news... i had quite a lot of pain on one side over the weekend and have been terrified of another ectopic. i called the clinic today and they brought me in for a scan. WE SEEN THE PREGNANCY IN MY UTERUS! the pain is being caused by my ovary producing progesterone big time. i had a low progestrone production so i have to use quite a high dosage of pessary daily, and now my own has kicked in too. we still have our 1st proper scan on dec 4, but we know the little one made to where it should be. di, thanks so much for your encouragement for us 1st T. hope everything is well with you. lisa, apart from the pain thing (really hurts at times - but i'm not complaining)my boobs are sore and one is getting bigger than the other! V. attractive. positive vibes to all. you're all in my prayers. phil x

Hi Girls I'm fine, back to work and feeling tired. I have to eat as soon as I wake up or I start to feel dizzy which is unusual for me, as I'm usually not a breakfast person. Phil - that is fantastic news I’m so pleased for you, it must be such a relief after having such pain. Lisa – I bet that felt amazing, I can’t wait to get a bump. Annette – I know what you mean about the worry, I’m a real worrier last night on the way home from work I had a few pains and had a funny feeling in my knickers, I was convinced I was bleeding I nearly put my hands down my pants to check, how would that have looked on a busy London Station! Becky – I’m glad to hear about the m/c stat that is my biggest fear along with ectopic. I Hi to everyone else. Thanks Di and Nicola. Love Vicki B X

Hi all, Phil - great news about the scan - but you def needed it to put your mind at rest! At least now you'll be able to relax abit for the next scan! Vicki - I def think you might have got a funny look if you'd put your hand down your knickers at a busy London Station. Even though I've not had the urge to do just that I did used to convince myself that I'd started bleeding and would have to rush to the loo! Lisa - I've really just started telling folk I'm pg and it still feels really wierd. I've waited so long and been through so much that it still feels like I'm dreaming it - although the bump is starting to say it's not just a dream! Don't worry about the time passing slowly to the scan - I felt every day was like a week but it has started to speed up now. Thinking of you all! Di

Hi guys Well after the scare on Monday night things have settled down with no more pain - have doubled my fluids which probably helped. did another hpt this morning and the line came in much quicker and much darker than last time (a week ago) which I guess is a good sign that hcg levels have risen since then!! only 6 days to go now until my Tuesday scan. just want to get that over with - feel if we are lucky enough to see a heartbeat that I will be able to relax a lot more. boobs don't hurt as much as they did at the start but veins are much more visible and I can feel the milk ducts!! now having slight nausea around lunchtime, not first thing, but still no dramatic lurches to the loo yet. we are off to France on 23rd Dec to spend Xmas with my mum for two weeks which am looking forward to. going on the train as don't want to risk flying in 1st T. anyone else going away for Xmas? dh goes into hospital to have his gall bladder out on Friday so that will keep me busy over the weekend, visiting him etc. am going to stay at the in-laws who have promised to pamper us both which is nice!! phil - must have been a relief to see the pg in the right place. Tracy - good luck for your 8 week scan. you should be able to see limbs! Lisa - I know, it's such a long wait till the first scan!!! I'm off to buy some more pg tests to keep me going - pink ones this time as the Clearblue ones fade after a week and I want to keep my stick as a momento in my baby box!! beckym xxx

i'm also in the first trimester gang, now 9 weeks and one day. amazing how small the baby was on our six week scan and then to see it on the 8 week it was so much bigger even though it still only measures one inch. hubby and i just itching to tell everyone but want to wait after our 12 week scan which is on the 19th December. me being the worrier that i am, m/c has been on my mind. but my consultant told me on monday that between 6-8 weeks you have a 15% chance of it happening and then after 8 weeks it drops down to 5%, what a relief. i know i was worrying for no reason but this little bubby means so much to us (our little sunshine) as i'm sure all you girls will agree. so looking forward to Crimbo...... know what you mean about telling people, dyer. least you will be able to tell everyone at Xmas!! I have been trying not to tell too many people other than my best friend and my close relies but my mum has told practically all her friends!! I am quite superstitious about it all - won't even let myself buy a proper pregnancy book or magazines until after next week's scan. I just go in the shops and read them there instead!! silly, i know!! I will be 12 weeks on 10 Jan and can't wait. crossing off the days in my diary but it is all going past so slowly!!!! I heard if you could see a heartbeat on the 6 or 8 week scan the risk of m/c drops to 3%!!! so am praying for a heartbeat on Tuesday!!! becky xx

Hi Phil - that must be such a relief for you, glad everything is going well and that you are feeling better. Di how far on are you?? Beckym - that sounds like a good way to spend Christmas after a very hectic year this year, and next year bringing fab things that will keep you out of mischief.I bought a Pregnancy and Birth magazine and I find it quite informative and interesting, have it hidden under my bed in case anyone sees it. Feel like a teenager with a porn mag!! Vicki good to see you are back at work and feeling better, when is your first scan again? Well one week to go for me and counting!! Love Lisa xx

Hi girls I’m feeling OK get at bit of a panic on sometimes because I feel normal if you know what I mean instead of pregnant. I can’t wait until I get to 12wks, I’m counting down but it is dragging. I’m off to meet some girls from FF on Saturday, I’m in the Herts Girls group and it my first meet with them. Lisa – I hope this next week goes fast for you. How are you feeling now, what symptoms have you had? My scan is on the 9th Dec so I will be 6wk 6days. Becky – Gad to hear the pain has calmed down, keep drinking the water. Your like me I’m scared to buy or do anything for my pregnancy in case I jinx myself. My Dh bought me a pregnancy magazine and every time I pick it up to read I start to feel all funny. I’m off to buy a pregnancy test at the weekend which one do you recommend for not fading as I too have a baby box which includes all our past posts. Nicky – What a wonderful way to celebrate Christmas, telling everyone your pregnant. Di - I’m glad to hear things start to speed up, because right now a day feels like a week. Hi girls Just thought I would check in before the scan tomorrow, sooooo looking forward to it. Ive been off work all week wanted to take it easy until the 8 week scan, felt ever so sick and still do finding it very hard to think about food let alone eat it. But thats all part and parcel of it and I love that thought. The bleeding has stopped thank god, and the 8 week scan is tomorrow, it has come round so quick. Cant wait to reach the 12 week mark so I can spread the good news and get some weight off the old shoulders when it feels safe enough to enjoy the pregnancy. Good luck everyone for all those scans coming up shortly and beckym for Tuesday (fingers crossed) and I will let you know how I get on tomorrow. Love Tracy x

Hi guys Well am at the in-laws still and we will be staying here till mid-week probably. Symptom wise felt really very nauseous yesterday morning and could hardly eat but today was fine though boobs have sharp pains off and on - beats me why they need to grow so early on!! I'm starting to get back pains from them already as I was a 36D before I started!! Think I may have got my maternity bra too early!! Still getting occassional twinges this time from the other ovary and the other night had quite bad crampy pains quite low down which I gather is the uterus streching - not nice. Does anyone else have a milky white discharge (sorry!) as well? getting really nervous about the scan now - only 3 days to go. will be shaking like a leaf when i go in there. if they can't see the heartbeat does that mean that the baby is not there or that it might just be too early? vicki - I have been told that the pink pregnancy tests don't disappear though have yet to test that. Lisa - have you actually been physically sick yet or have you just had nausea? beckym xxx

Hi Girls Saturday went well it was nice to meet other IVF people, we will hopefully meeting again early next year. Becky - Yes I have had a white discharge apparently it is the cervix plugging up to protect the pregnancy. The discharge is OK along as there is no stinging or smell! Good luck with the scan it may be too early to see heartbeat, Please don't worry you will be fine. Rachael - good luck for your scan.
