Ok ladies glad to hear everyone and everything is moving right along.

Got my call this morning so I am scheduled for ET "BLAST" tomorrow at 11:15. I still have 13 embies. They advised that four of them had no change in cells from yesterday but 9 of them are continuing to flourish so those will be the ones that they choose from. I pary that they continue to divide through the night and that I have some good ones to go with. So far I am happy with the way that things are turning out.

Esperanza - Good amount of embies so you may go to blast if all continue to strive. Good luck with everything

Andnichole - We have not yet discussed with the Doc how many they will put back. I did ask the nurse at one point and she said no more than two but I don't know what they do if they make it to blast as mine has. Will definately post after my procedure tomorrow to let you know.

With my age I won't accept anything less than two so they better be ready to argue if they have in their minds that they will only do one. I'll even take three if they'll give it to me (smile). Maybe I'll ask for three that way they may settle at two :-)

Question -- Since I am going to Blast (5 day transfer), when will my test day be. I thought I read that it's like 12 days after the retrieval date. If that's the case, I'll only have 7 days wait and not actually two weeks. Am I correct with this thought?

Good luck to all and pray and wish me well tomorrow. I know you guys are rooting!!!!

Coles.....I am from Long Island NY. They told me at my very first consult that at my age they will put back as many as possible. At ER I had 10 follies, so RE said they would put back 4 at day 3 and try for the others to make it to blast for freezing. But at ER they only retrieved 5 eggs, but luckily for us all 5 fertilized. So out the door went the idea of trying to get some to freeze. Doc decided to put back all 5!
I hope at least one makes it, but my gutt says twins. RE said he has only seen triplets 3 times in his 16 yrs of practice. I have identical twins age 13 now, so I know a little what to expect. I also don't think at my age they would want me to deliver more than twins.

Welcome pricecake!

Well ladies, I got the call this morning, we are going to a 5-day transfer!!! so Sunday is our day.

About number of embryos to transfer; dh and I went back and forth for a while between ourselves and with the doctors. After much debate, thinking, and researching, we decided to transfer 1 beautiful emby (especially now that we are going to transfer a blast). However, we both want to have a talk with the embryologist on Sunday to discuss the quality of the embryos, stats, etc.

We really don't mind having twins, as we both see it as a blessing, however, we are concerned with the potential complications that occur with twin pregnancies, hence, our decision.

So far, we have 12 embies hanging in there :D let's see how many we'll see on Sunday

Washingtonda: MUCH, MUCH, MUCH babydust for you tomorrow******LUV!

Hugs to all my sistahs out there

Washingtonda: Wishing you the best at your transfer tomorrow morning! I read in one of the booklets that Shady Grove gave at the consult appt. that they do beta testing 18 days after ER. So if you are doing a Day 5 transfer the beta would be 13 days later. The booklet also said that if Day 18 fell on a weekend the test would either be the Friday before or the Monday after. I was curious about when they tested myself. Please let me know what they tell you as far as testing day.

Colesmom-- Grow follies, grow!! I'm sure I've asked already, but where in PA are you?

Wahingtonda--CONGRATS-- your embies are doing great! :D :D Good luck tomorrow :P

MLB--I want twins too! But one will be just fine, i think there are pros and cons to both!

Esperanza-- 13 fert! thats awesome :D :D Hope they all make it to blasts! Sunday will be here before you know it!

Tali-- thinking of you :) :)

Schel--I'm going back to a reg OB/GYN...my RE said that I am not considered high risk because of IVF..they keep me 10 weeks and then I can go whereever.....Does anyone else have a high risk OB?? Maybe I should look into that.

TammyS-- Happy stimming!!!!

Andnichole-- Sounds like the meds are working for you! I'm having some cramping, but more bloating! And a headache! DH and I decided to transfer two at our consult. that is what our RE recommends. They refuse to do only one in the shared risk program, and if the quality isnt as good as they want, then we will discuss three. Its a hard decision to make, you just have to think of what you are comfortable with in the long run....I was mentally prepared for triplets before we ever went to see our RE

Pricecake--5!!! Five embies! Your chances are good, Crossing everything that at least one sticks! If you had another set of twins that would be crazy!!!

:D :D

As for me...went for bw this morning...everything is good. Stimming away. 5 of Lupron, 250 of Follistum. Monday I have bw and u/s. ER probably 19th or 20th???? we'll see. I kinda hope its over the weeknd, then DH and I dont have to miss work! We need the money :D :D Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Washingtonda: I am sooo excited for you tomorrow! Let us know how it goes when you are all done.

Esperanza: I cant wait till Sunday! Hopefully tomorrow will fly by for you!
It is very encouraging to see you ladies going to 5-day blast.

Tali: I believe in miracles. Stay positive.

Pricecake: Wow! 5... Good Luck! Sounds like your chances will be great!

Neffi211: Sounds like everything is going great for you. I just took my first Lupron shot...I take 20 in the am and 20 at night, too. I have a splitting headache already.

Andnichole: I asked the doc at the consultation ...whether he was thinking 2 or 3 and he said "Yup". LOL So basically depending on the quality ...if we get good ones...we will put back 2....if not then 3. If we go to blast...then probably 2.

Hellokitty: The progesterone during IUI made me sleep alot too.

Colesmom: How are the shots going?

I had my first baseline u/s and b/w today. My estorgen level was a 13 and she said everything looked good to start the lupron shot tonight. No problems with it. It didnt really hurt either. I have a headache now though. I forgot about that...till it started hurting. Tomorrow I start the Follistim 175 in the morning and 175 at night too. Then I take the Lupron 20 units in the morning and 20 units at night, too. That seems like alot to me. I dont go back again for monitoring till Tues. That seems like a long time...when I know with IUI ...I only stimmed for 7/8 days. I asked the nurse when she thinks ER will be...she said the 23rd or 24th. I told her since I dont stimm as long as most girls do...that I am guessing the 21st or 22nd. I almost made a bet with her. LOL So we will see. Otherwise ...I am just so happy to feel like ...the party has started. :D

Good luck WashingtonDA - Hope every things goes great today.. rest up and take care of yourself.

Esperanza - Tomorrow is your day. Wishing you lots of luck...

Thank you for all your encouraging words - Emotionally I am doing a lot better than I thought I would. I still have to do the blood test on the 21st. After the test, I am looking forward to going back to a normal life without ivf for a little while.

I wish all you lots of luck in your process -

Love you all and hope you all get your BFPs.

Girls this IVF stuff is truly a roller coaster ride. Just got back home. 25 minutes into our ride up to the clinic I received a call on my cell from one of the nurses stating that she received a call from the embryologist stating that my embies were still doing good but had not yet made it to blast. They want to wait one more day and do the ET tomorrow at Day 6. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad.

Esperanza it looks like you and I for tomorrow unless something else happens. Im keeping the faith. At least they are holding on. They will call me later with the time that I should be there tomorrow. I do plan to ask many questions when they call back.

Anyone know anything about a six day transfer? Good or Bad.

Washingtonda and Eseperanza: Wishing you all the best in your ETs tomorrow!

I had my first u/s and b/w this morning after starting stims. I had 5 follicles on my right ovary and only 2 on my left ovary. They told me I had one follicle on my right that was 10mm already. Should I be concerned that this follicle is so much bigger than the rest? I have only been on stims 3 days. They will be calling me later this afternoon with my estrogen results. They told me that it all depended on my estrogen level as to how my meds would be adjusted.

How many follicles did everyone have for their first u/s after starting stims? Of couse I am getting myself all worried.
