Esperanza: How did things go at your ET? To answer your question, no they didn't tell me the size of the other follicles.
Washingtonda: How did your ET go yesterday?
When the nurse called me yesterday to tell me my estrogen level (it was 68.9 which is low but directly related to the number of follicles you have) she said I actually had 8 follicles and said that the larger one was fine. She told me that they like to see the estrogen level around 100 3 days after stimming. They increased my gonal-f to 300 and increased my menopur to two vials (150 IU) and told me to stop the Lupron. I go for my next u/s and b/w appt. tomorrow morning. I only have 7 vials left of the menopur and now that I am using 2 vials/day I am wondering if I will have to order more........ It seems my ovaries have kicked into high gear as I am having a lot of cramping on both sides now. The nurse did tell me yesterday when she called that they used to not even be able to see any follicles below 11 mm in size but with the better technology and equipment now they can see them developing a lot sooner.
Hoping we get more BFPs real soon now that Esperanza and Washingonda are in the two week wait!!

Andnichole: At your u/s tomorrow be sure to tell her how much you have left in meds...so she can figure it out for you and order you more if need be. Sounds like the cramping is a good sign. It was for me. Grow Follies Grow!

As for me...still stimming away...I have my first u/s tomorrow since stimming began..hope my follies are growing. I dont have that much cramping like andnichole said she is having, I hope that doesnt mean that im not responding...my bw on friday was good though so we'll see, I am feeling really bloated. Tonight will be my 5th Follsitum injection..they burn more than the Lupron! Okay, cant wait to hear from the ladies w/ ET today!

good evening ladies....
i have a couple questions...i am on day 3 of stims and was wondering if anyone else had to use the amt.of menopur that i've been using which is 8 vials...also i'm told one of antibodies came back positive,don't know which one and i've been prescribed heparin,asprin and later prednisolone..is there anything that i can do to ease the pain of the heparin injection...have been icing the area before and after but it still pains quite a bit...not sure if anyone had mentioned in previous posts whether or not there were using heparin but would really appreciate the tips and also if i'm using this much menopur because of my advanced age

Neffi211: Forgive me or insinuating that cramping means you are responding well...it doesnt. I had mild cramping 2xs out of 3 of my stimming for IUI...I responded well and the same for all 3 of my IUI's. Some women get the cramping some dont. I only meant that ...cramping is okay and a normal side effect. If you dont have cramping...count yourself lucky...for some women it is just a nuisance...for others it makes them feel as if it is working. You can respond very well and have no cramping. I have been on stims 2 days now...and no cramping yet. However, I know that I am responding well, anyways.
Lagleik: I saw a show on DiscoveryHealth, called Baby Lab. It followed several couples during the IVF process. A woman on there was talking about how she is 41 or something close and that they usually have you start at 2-8 vials...and that they started her straight at 8...due to her age and being a low responder. As to the other meds...I am on baby aspirin 81mg due to my uterus lining...since Sept. I have to remember to ask if I should stop that a couple of days before retrieval and then start it again...right after. I read that somewhere. I was also prescribed a steroid and dont remember what it was for. I dont know what the heparin you have is for. Sorry. I was also prescribed some patches....I have no idea what those are for, either. Does anyone else?

As for me...the only side effect from the stims is headaches so far. I never get headaches. It seems to help if I take 2 tylenol 15 minutes before doing my shots.

This is WashingtonDA's DH and she asked me to give you all an update as to what happened today. It all happened at 10:00 this morning, we stayed down the road from the clinic the night before to make sure we were on time. On primary care doctor was there and did the actual procedure. It went effortlessly! Got to see it all on ultrasound through my honey's tummy. Two little blips of light, and it was that simple.
They transfered the best two of the nine that we had left. They advised that the other seven would be watched over the next two days, and they would call us to let us know if they were good enough for freezing. (we are guessing that these ones may not have yet hatched.)
We were given a picture of the two that were transferred back. Doreen will try to post those when she is up and able. Our pregnancy test date is 24 Jan. (18 days past egg retrieval)
Doreen is feeling well and will be posting later in the week on her progress. Continue to keep us in your prayers.

Hi everyone, I've been away for a while. I've been trying to take things step by step and not worry so much. Now I'm in the 2ww and I'm about to go nuts.
We had a 5dt on Thursday, Jan 10th. They transferred two excellent embies and now all i can do it wait.
I've been experiencing alot of pain because my ovary's are really huge right now. Other than that a little cramping here and there. Our Beta is Friday the 18th!
Esperanza-Washingtonda-Looks like we're in the same wait. Wishing you both get the BFP that you deserve!
