Hey girls, long time no see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Sorry I have not been posting lately, but I have been reading about you all  .

Sassy......that trip sounds great!!!, I haven't skied (sp?) since I was 18, wow can't believe it's been 2 years already!! LOL kidding (sadly it's been more than 10  ), well have fun and take tons of pics with your new camera!!!

Jenn.....I understand your "where will she come out from" fear, it is totally understandable, but just think about one thing, tons of women deliver their babies and all of them have wonderful memories of it, so it can't be so bad, right?.

Mel.....going to Houston? what are you doing there if I may ask? (I know, I am sooo nosy!!! )

Angie.....I am so jealous that you can do all that exercise, I am still not allowed to do that much, I do my normal life and all, but in terms of exercise I have to take it easy, which means that on the first trimester I put 10lbs  , oh well, I guess I will have to work hard once the baby is here to shed all the extra pounds, right now I don't really care that much unless it jeopardizes the baby.........

Meg.....I can't believe Lucy is 4 months already!!!!, send us updated pics!!

MP......we were never formally introduced since I have been MIA, welcome to the sistahood and good luck with your new cycle!!

Fee.....hope things are looking better on your end, hope MIL and doggie are better.......

Tina.....how are you doing?, when is your next OB appt?

As per me I am doing great, I have a scan next Monday, and if the stars are alligned I might know the sex, kind of early, but possible........Also, I got myself one of those dopplers, it is the best thing I could have ever gotten!!!, every time I freak out I just get the thing and listen to the little one's HB and I relax, it is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you are all doing great!!

Good to hear from you Vicky!! Glad you and baby are doing well. If you find out what it is are you going to log on and let us know? :D How exciting!! The doppler sounds like it is helping your sanity. Sometimes I wish I had gotten one. Are you showing yet? I don't think I looked pregnant until 6 months. Dr. kept telling me it was because I am tall. Now I'm huge. Oh well! anyway..Take care, check in after your scan if you can!!

Yes Jenn, of course I will let you guys know! . Regarding showing or not, I am kind of showing, I mean, the people who know me can see that I have a belly that I didn't have before, but those who don't know me might just think that I am fat. And I am tall too 5'10", so I guess it just depends on each different body, who knows??

Hey Vicky-glad to hear things are going well. I hear you on the weight gain. During my first trimester, the only way I felt half way decent was with a mouth full of food! I'm really regretting the 60 lb gain, now, though as it is hard to lose! I've lost about 35 of it, and am determined to get the rest off by March. My mom bought Lucy swimming lessons for Christmas (my favorite gift!) but she can't start them until she's 6 months old. So, that gives me a couple of months to get a little more decent looking before I have to cram my butt into a swimming suit--and actually go in front of people. I'm hoping you'll get to find out the sex. How exciting. I can't believe you and Angie are that far along already--geez it's just going so fast!

Jenn--Don't worry too much about labor. I learned the hard way that all the things I worried about didn't happen but things I'd never even considered did. Hopefully you trust your doctor and can just put yourself in his or her hands. My advice....epidural

Sassy--Colorado is so beautiful. We're planning a trip over Easter--my brother lives in Ft Collins and I've never visited him :? It's only about an 8 hour drive from here, so I really have no excuse. Hope the relatives aren't stressing you out too much and good luck with the shots. Any fun new places that you've shot up in/at?

Fee--How's things? Getting more sleep? I'm proud to announce that Lucy has started sleeping all night long. Gasp! Yep. It started over the holidays. She's averaging 6-8 hours at night. It's freaking amazing. Of course, she has to be sleeping with me in order to do that, so our next step is to get her into her crib. Still, I can't believe the difference in my life a night of sleep makes. So hang in there---it does get easier!

I'm doing pretty good overall. We're getting Lucy baptized this weekend so I've been trying to get a little organized for that. My mother in law made Lucy a baptismal dress out of her wedding dress and it's just been a nightmare. My mil is a total drama freak--she has to be the center of attention at all times. Add to that a touch of alcoholism (can you be just a touch of a drunk???) and it's a mess. Sunday, she called us up after a day of drinking and informed us that the dress just wouldn't work. It took us forever to calm her down and assure her that we like the damned thing. I just want to strangle her. Can I still use the IVF defense even if I've already given birth??????

Well--off to the doctor for Lucy's 4 month visit. I can't wait to see how much she weighs now!

Oh Meg. I just had to post! The thought of a drunken MIL at a sewing machine is very scarey - I do hope Lucy's dress doesn't end up with 3 arm holes or worse still, no room for her head - she has a track record of being a very stylish little sista and we don't want her standards slipping!

Vicky - I am happy to hear you are going well. I am a tad envious of the doppler as now I am feeling better, I am worried what is going on inside. Oh well - will just have to sit it out for another 2 weeks before I see Dr J and he can have a listen for me.

Sassy - sounds like there is a snow fest in Colorado - very jealous of you too. We skied a few years back at Snowmass/Aspen and I still get emails from them this time of year giving me the snow report! Very good idea to get a separate hotel - you can still be sociable with the family without having them in your face. Have a great time.

Hi to everyone else - I must do some work .

Hi girls...remember me???
I am almost completely embarrassed to post in here since it has been like, oh, six months or so. I have been thinking a lot about my fellow sistas lately though and came in here for a peek at what's been going on with everyone and OMG I was shocked! We should re-name this the pregnant sista room! Holy cow, what happened? I was so excited to read about so many being pregnant, Congratulations!
As for me and why it's been so long, you guys, I just had to completely get away from infertility all together for a while. I was having mini-meltdowns and lots of them. You guys may or may not remember but we did IVF for the first time last February and got a BFN with two frosties left. DH and I since then have tried real hard to just live life and try to be happy with or without a child. Well as I'm sure all of you know that only works for so long. We've thought a lot about adoption and then decided that we would just go ahead and transfer the frosties first and see what happens. Then I went to a routine appt with my OB to find out my endometriosis has spread to my abdominal wall (which by the way really hurts) and will eventually need surgery. It just seems like one thing after another, as again, everyone in here knows and has been through.
So February we will be doing our FET and that will be the end of the IVF road for us and I'm pretty excited about that!

Jenn~ Congratulations girl...you're almost there. 36 weeks, not much longer at all. Don't worry about the delivery. I know I've never been through it but I see it every day and you'll do just fine. You probably posted something about this (I only went back so far) but do you know if you're having a boy or a girl?

Vicky~ Wow our baby Sanson is going to have a brother or sister (were they able to tell which yet?)!! I am so happy for you and DH. You have been through so much and I was so glad to hear it finally worked for you. Have you been feeling ok?

Angie~ Congratulations to you also. Wow 15 weeks pregnant and moving! You're a brave, brave soul! I hope the new house is great. Don't be working too hard now!

Fee~ Lots of sleepless nights huh? So is this what we all have to look forward to? It will get better, soon, I'm sure.
How is the dog, any better?

Tina~ Congratulations on your recent BFP!!! How exciting. I'm sorry you're feeling so bloated and I would be more than willing to come smack that "friend" for you. How ignorant is that? Don't people say the dumbest things sometimes? Try not to let her get to you. I'm sure it's just all the meds making you feel so bloated and hopefully it will get better soon.

Meg~ Baby LUCY!!! That is one of my favorite girl names! She's 4 months old already...wow time flies.
So glad to hear she's sleeping through the night. That's got to be a huge relief. Isn't it funny how we childless people take for granted a full 8 hour night of sleep?
And what a mess you have with your alcoholic MIL! You poor thing. I don't even know what to say about it. That situation is terrible! I just hope everything works out. I'm sure you just can't wait til it's over!

Sassy~ Well my first question to you was going to be where in the world you've traveled lately but the last couple pages answered my question. Wow, Colorado, that sounds fantastic right about now! And good for you and dh to get your own hotel! That is way too much stress for you right now. Like you said to begin with, ALL those family members and on top of it a newborn, no way. You'll have a much better vacation by yourselves!
I guess it's you and me in February girl! My FET is scheduled for the 15th so I'm still on BCP and don't start Lupron until Jan 19. Let's hope we can catch some of this baby dust flying around in this room!
Any new exciting, crazy stories about bil lately?

Amy~ FET right around the corner on the 17th eh? Good for you. I forgot, how many frosties did you say you had and/or how many are they going to put back in?

I hope I didn't forget anyone.
Again, so sorry I was MIA for so long but it is so great to chat with everyone.
Talk to you soon.

Hello sistas! It seems sistas come and sistas go around here...but sistas always find their way home! :)

All is great for me! I am hanging in there and so far feeling great. I have very little morning sickness and have finally started to get back into my exercise routine...which is wonderful. My fat a-- struggled to make it around the block, but before long I felt like I was back into my usual groove. My next appt is this Friday and as it gets closer, I get more nervous!! I just hope everything still looks good and the baby has an even stronger heartbeat. I feel very blessed to have had this work on my 1st try as I know so many of you have been through mutiple cycles. You are my heroes as this is a tough road! Only the strong survive!! :)

nickster - Hello! (shake hands, hugs, whatever!)....Nice to meet you! Pretty exciting stuff that you are about to go with the FET!!! Right around the corner!!! I bet it was good to get away from the world of infertility for a while. It starts to become who you are, you know? That was the part my husband hated the most - it seemed to be consuming us. I watched this video when I was going through my failed IUI's, rounds of chlomid, etc and I swear it still makes me cry, but it really touched me. It was supposedly developed for couples to share with their friends to help them understand what they are going through. But there was something about the message that I found powerful and it gave me strength. It is: http://www.tearsandhope.com/emptyarms_video.html. It just made me aware of how many couples go through this and it truly does make you stronger and you will figure out the way! :) And when you do - you sure as hell are going to treasure it more than the average pregnant chick! Anyway, good luck with your FET!!! Now you have to stick around and post so we can be kept apprised of all of your great news! :D

Meg - Ok, your baptism story is freakin hilarious. My ex-MIL (I was married once before - strange situation as he is still one of my very best friends) was a total drunk. Oh Lord - I remember those days!!! Every day there seemed to be something to "celebrate" with a glass of wine or actually more like 3 bottles. She would show up at Christmas sh-t-faced and falling over every year. It was ridiculous. She is an ex-college English professor, so she always talked perfect grammar but when she got drunk, she somehow developed a British accent - so bizarre!! At our wedding, she went into the bathroom and one of my best friends was next to her in the stall and I guess she ripped a serious one and then proceeded to say in her lovely British accent, "Oh, pardon me. I appear to have a bit of flatulence". :D :D  Is that not hilarious? So, there you have it - I can relate!!! Do you think Lucy should have a back-up plan just in case? The sistas are counting on her strutting her stuff in true sista style that day!! :D

Vicky - congrats on your continued success in your pregnancy! And I am JEALOUS - being 5'2, I can't hide anything!!! Tall women always carry it better. Not I - I am starting to look pudgy which is not my favorite gig! Ugghhh....oh well, I am blessed nonetheless and am trying not to let my fat a-- get me down! :D I want a doppler so badly!!!! How much did you pay for it??? I think it might help keep me sane!!!

Jenn - Sorry about your cold!!! I am battling a serious case of allergies down here and am losing my mind!!! So, as the birth day approaches, the concern grows, huh??? The worst thing I did was watch one of those birth shows on TV the other day. OMG!!! AAAHHHH!!! I was scared to death!!! It is still not something I can comprehend..this whole delivery thing. It was funny on the show because the husband was keep tracking after the birth of every time the wife breast fed the baby, what breast was used and every time it had a BM - freak!! I told my husband he better back the ---- off and not be checking out which titty this baby is sucking on and when it is doing its thing. He laughed so hard. He kind of looked at me like "you think I am that much of a freak"??? It was funny.

Sassy - I am jealous!!! This is the 1st year my husband and I are not going back to Colorado for skiing! He moved here from Denver and we LOVE going back!!! We spent time last year in Vail and Beaver Creek in a big house with all his friends and it was so great!!! Enjoy!!!

Angie - Good for you on the walking/hiking!! It was such a pleasure for me to start walking again!!! I just can't stand not doing anything but watching my pants not zip anymore. Just knowing I am at least doing something gives me some relief. I am going to try to do it for 45-60 min a day for at least 4 days a week. There is no excuse - our weather has been warm down here. How is the new house??

MP - how are the injections going??? The fun has begun!!! So glad you are feeling so positive!!! It is the best thing you can do for yourself right now!!! Good luck - keep us posted!!! Is the Mountain Cedar allergy killing you like it is me? They showed on the news last night that it is over 2,000 when 500 is considered severe! Yikes!!

Fee - we want pictures!!! I believe you think you are a bit of a Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise wanna-be and hiding your baby from us to try to score the big bucks!!! :D Bring Rio out of hiding!!! We want to see this cute little devil that is turning your world upside down!!! Hope you are starting to get more sleep!! :)

Mel - how is the wedding business these days? I wish I had you around for mine. I ended up firing the wedding coordinator 6 weeks before our planned wedding in the Bahamas (Paradise Island) because she was a total basket case! We ended up hopping a cruise ship with about 30 of our closest friends and did the deed (the wedding, that is) right there on the ship and then partied with our friends for a few days. It ended up being a pretty good gig even if it didn't end up on Paradise Island.

Ok, I am off to ice my arse and hit it with another lovely PIO shot! Less than a month and I am DONE with these shots. Thank God!!! I hate them!!! Wish me luck Friday!! Hang in there sistas!

Hello sistas! Great news at my appt today! Our little baby is starting to look like a baby and has little arms that were waving today. Heartbeat was up to 179! I cried like a baby...nothing new. :D I swear I get so worked up about these appts fearing the worst. The next appt is Jan 23rd, so I need to chill for a while. But I am thrilled!! :D

Ok, so I have to ask....what did most of you that are pregnant now or have delivered gain during your 1st trimester? I have put on 3 pounds..granted that could be partly the holidays, but still!!! My clothes just fit so tight. Help! :)

Have a great weekend.

Tina- congrats on your great appointment! I think in my first trimester I only gained like 5 pounds if that. So far the third has been the weight gain winner! I had serious appetite aversions in the first and didn't eat a lot. I wanted nothing to do with food after week 6. I didn't start eating again until well into the 2nd trimester. How is your appetite??

Ok girls Monday I go to Dr. for checkup. She said I will go every week now  So much to do...

Hi ladies - welcome back nickster - no problem at all taking a breaking - we all need a break from this crazy world - good luck with your next cycle.

Tina O - I've gained about 5 or 6 pounds in total I reckon - and that was in the first few weeks - since then nothing really but at the same time I can't do up my zips either and have a bit of a bump (not that I ever had a flat stomach at all) so a bit strange really. It's hard to know what is baby and what is Christmas over indulgence. Also did not exercise first few weeks and now back into light yoga and cycling. Your next appmt is STILL before mine - still over a week for me!

Jenn - good luck on Monday - you are getting close and I am excited for you!

Sassy - hope you enjoyed swishing down the slopes - it is like deja view - last year you were ski-ing and I was out down the beach/camping and history repeats itself again! Cool!

Jenn--Oooh, those every week appts are fun--means the end is near. Or really, that the beginning is near!

Tina--Don't get me started on weight gain! I gained a lot the first trimester because food was the only thing that made me feel good. But then again, I gained pretty consistently through the whole thing. It sucks. You think pregnancy is the one time you don't have to worry about your weight, but of course that would be too good to be true!

Lucy was baptized today. It was very fun--she looked really sweet and was such a good baby through the ceremony. There were 13 babies baptized, so it was a long one! She was the cutest one there by far, though, if I do say so myself! It was really tiring on me, though, having all the family here for the weekend. I'm beat.

My dh is sick. He has some colon issues going on and has been in lots of pain. Finally broke down and went to the doctor and found out he's going to have to have surgery asap. He's going in tomorrow to have an abscess drained and then we meet with the surgeon on Friday to schedule the surgery. I'm so stressed. Don't know what I'm going to do with Lucy during the procedure and when he's in the hospital plus we have no health insurance so this is going to cost us a frickin' fortune. And, of course, I'm worried to death about my dh. Anyway, please pray for us. We could use it right now!

Hope everyone had a great weekend....

Meg- That sounds stressful! I'm praying for you! I hope the surgery goes well, and everything turns out ok.

I'll be back later. I have many chores to do today! Dr. appt. this after noon and I have to goet pretty for it. I'm a little worried about how that will happen since I can't reach my toes...or other regions for that matter!! Have a great monday everyone!

sorry to hear about DH Meg - hope he soon gets better and it's not too stressful for you and the family. If I lived closer I would help look after Lucy so I get in some practice. :)

Meg- how is Dh? I can help Angie babysit if you need!

You guys can come on over and babysit anytime. My fil is coming this afternoon so I can walk the dog and take a shower. Dh can't lift anything over 9 lbs and Lucy is topping the scale at a little over 15 lbs these days! He's doing okay--had a tough day yesterday as he had to have the abscess drained and they left a draining tube coming out of him (it's pretty damned gross!!!) He has to leave it in for a week and hopefully that will get rid of the infection. We meet with the surgeon on Friday.

Jenn--I was dilated at 2 cm for a long time--like a month or so. So hang in there! It is exciting to know things are progressing, though, no matter how slowly!

Sassy--How was your ski trip? Shots going okay? I'm getting excited and nervous for your fet...you'd think it was me going through it!

Lucy is doing good. She's sleeping in her swing right now. Well, actually she woke up about 5 minutes ago and is just looking around. She's able to entertain herself for short periods of time now which is nice. She's teething, so everything is going into her mouth. She's constantly sucking on her fingers! Ooops, she's tired of being alone!
