The nurse just called. My E2 was up to 116 (was 68.9 on Saturday). They kept my Gonal-F dosage at 300 but increased my Menopur to
225 IUs. I go back on Wednesday morning for more b/w and an u/s. They will let me know then if the cycle will be cancelled due to low response. What is a normal E2 level after stimming for 5 days?

andnichole - I really hope your cycle does not get cancelled.. I have had 2 cycles cancel and coverted to iui. I am a poor responder and from my research they look for E2 levels to double every 2 days. Your numbers are very promissing. I hope they more than double next time you go in.

Esperanza and WashingtonDA - I am so glad both your ETs went well. take care of your little beans and try to relax as much as you can during your 2ww.

To those who are stimming.. happy stimming and grow follies grow.

xoxo

Thanks Tali. If you don't mind me asking what did they change from your first cycle to your second? Did you get any more of a response the second time? Did they increase your meds trying to make more follicles grow during the cycle when they were concerned? The Dr. was talking about cancelling even before she knew my E2 level. As soon as she saw there were only 3 follicles she said that they would most likely cancel me.

Congrats to all the ET ladies! We now have a bunch of people in 2ww. Hopefully it will fly by!

I just wanted to comment about the symptoms. I know some people get them but others don't. After my ET, I "felt" pregnant for a couple of days, bloating, soreness, etc. Then it all started going away. I starting freaking, I figured it was all over. I asked one of the drs and they said the symptoms I were feeling were probably the trigger shot and after it was out of my system, they went away. They said most people don't have symptoms until around 6 or 7 weeks.

And hpt's....aaaaah...can't live with em, can't live without em. I started taking them way way early, and I really thought I could handle all the negatives, but they got to me eventually. I did not see my first faint line until the afternoon of 10dp3dt, the day before my test date. I know some people can get positives earlier, but I think I implanted late.

So anyway, do whatever you have to in order to make it through the 2 weeks, and then there will be something else to wait for, and then something else. It's all a waiting game from now on, and just try not to stress too much. Just remember, I had no symptoms and late negatives on hpt's and I am 7 weeks pregnant now! So keep the pma's going!

Sticky baby dust to you all!

Andnichole - I only had one follie mature on my first cycle and they did not cancel me until day 10 of stimming.

They changed my protocol to no lupron (they thought I was too suppressed) and antagon to start when one or more follical was more than 14mm.. I stimmed for 15 days this time and on day 5 my numbers were really bad.. no follies, my lining was really thin and my E2 was really low. Things picked up drastically from day 7 to 11 and I had 3 follies on day 11 and they looked like they were growing at a steady rate. on day 13 one follie measured at 15 and the other 2 were 10 and I started the antagon to prevent ovulation. on day 15 the big follicle disappeared.. my RE thinks I may have ovulated on my own. The other 2 follies did not grow at all and my E2 plummeted. We did an IUI, but since they are not even sure that I ovulated, I don't have much hope. We are going to take a break until spring. I have heard of a micro dose lupron that has worked with low responders, I am going to talk it over with my RE...

I hope that your follicals grow, remember as long as they are all growing evenly, 3 is enough to do IVF.. you may have to persuade you RE to move forward with it.

Hope this helps

xoxo

Hi Friends,

Ya know, I do feel like you're all my friends. DH told me the other day "you do spend a lot of time in that site, wow!" hehehehhe

andnichole--good to hear about your E2! I don't know much about numbers, etc, but I've read that your E2 values indicate the number/size of your follies, so the increase in your numbers may mean that you have more follies now :D PMA!!

Tali--how's my girl?

PrincessB and WashingtonDA--I'm with you two. I'm NOT going to POAS. I've read about the roller coaster some of the women have gone through in this forum thanks to hpt, and I don't want to go through that. No way! I think I've had enough roller coaster for the past 2 years. DH and I plan to take the afternoon off on test day and wait together for the phone call...we are going out on a date that same night, regardless of the outcome (of course, we are hopping it is to celebrate  )

About symptoms, I am not even looking for them. I know that most of what I feel right now is because of the treatment and progesterone (a bit of sore breast, crampy, bloated, tired). I was pregnant once (natural...unfortunately ended up in miscarriage at 10 weeks) and the only early symptoms I got were AF symptoms. I was so sure she was coming that I was shocked when the hpt came out positive. I'm trying to relax and not look for anything right now.

WashingtonDA--gorgeous embies!! I have my pic next to our wedding picture in our living room :D It's our babies first pics!!!!! I will scan mine and post it.

Colesmom--hurrayyyy!!!! crampy and bloated...oh yeah, those are good signs. Girrrrrlll, I was a high responder too, no worries, all they may do is adjust your medication and maybe ask you to stop it earlier than planned. Keep your faith up!

I found this, I thought it was funny...

"I'm testing only 8 days past 5 day transfer so it seems like they are already testing me pretty early. I bet a hpt wouldnt show that soon? "PrincessB,
A beta test is way different than an hpt. It can detect the smallest amount. Also, I think your cramping is a great sign.

Hello to all my wonderful momma's. Thanks so much for all the love and prayers. Above is a picture of my beautiful babies. When my fiance posted yestreday, we forgot to mention that they had to do Assisted Hatching with the embryos. Doc said that these were really good embryos so we are both anxious and excited. We transferred two.

Schel -- Thanks for telling me how to post the pic. Hope all is well with you and your little one. Good luck this week.

PrincessB -- Glad you joined. Please let us know if you are having any symptoms yet and if so what are they. Just wanted something to look forward to. I'll have many more questions before my test date on the 24th.

Esperanza -- Glad things went well for you also my 2WW buddie and queeen. I am pretty much doing the same as you. Resting up and giving orders (smile).

Blonzella -- Where are you? This is your week. Good luck with ER.

All Prego Momma's- Continued success.

All Stimming Momma's - Hang in there, you'll get there.

All Waiting Momma's - Your chance is coming.

All of US 2WW - MUCHO Baby Dust!!Baby Dust!!Baby Dust!!

Our board has grown so much that if you miss a day or two, you've missed it.

I hope I got everyone but if I didn't my heart and prayers are with you all.

Quick Question? Keeping in mind that I had a 6 day blast, when might prenancy symptoms start to surface. I read with blast transfers, the emryos usually implant between 1-3 days after transfer. I know this is premature but I wanted to know.

Yes embryos implant within 1-3 days, however the quantity of hcg is normally not enough to be detected until 11dpt. Then it is possible to get a positive result with a high sensitivity hpt. It is also possible to get a false negative in this time too so it is best you stay away from those evil  hpt's at least try and hold out as long as possible. 8). I did not have any symptoms during my 2ww except for a little wierd cramping the day after the transfer. I actually kinda just knew that it worked this time. I pray it's your turn this time too!

Here I am posting from my bed in the 2 ww!!!! I can't believe I have the precious one inside of me :D This process is so long, but sometimes it feels like time just flew by (maybe I prepared myself psychologically to wait so much more!). Our transfer went well. We only transfered 1 beautiful emby. They will send us a letter letting us know how many they got to freeze (I think we still had 12). We didn't ask questions about quality, etc. The doctor wrote in our form that they had transfered an "expanded blast." The doctor and the nurses were awesome, that was SO helpful because it put dh and me in a very good mood.

It was so quick, painless, and (they made it seem) effortless, although we know there is so much that goes into it. We have a pic as well. I'll post it when I get myself to scan it :P :P Right now is sitting next to our favorite wedding picture in our living room.
Looking forward to seeing your BFP!

As for me....I had a good day...went for bw and u/s 5 days stimming. I had 16 follies over 10mm, they said I am right where I should be. They decreased my Follistum a little. I go back again on Wed. andnichole-- I dont know what normal e2 levels are....they havent given me those numbers. :D :D :D :o I'm hoping for ER between friday and sunday. I cant wait!

pink eye

Post by unexplained infertility »

Dear Girls,

I skimmed through the last 10 pages only but I felt I belonged here :)
I am not so unexplained anymore, I have poor quality eggs and I am a slow responder.
I am during my 3rd IVF, ER on Wed 1/16/8, ET on Sat 1/19/08. They changed my protocol to FOllistim only (elephant dose though :)) and I grew about 15 good size follicles and 5 smaller ones. It will turn out in 2 days how many there are.
My E2 on D4 (1st day of stimulation) was 116, and it grew to 800 on D8 (d 5 of stim) and to over 1K the next day.
Keep your fingers crossed.
My problem right now is that I have a pink eye, and a cold. I am actually trying to type with 1 eye closed. Do you think I can/should take antibiotics right now? What is the best home rememdy for pink eye (i never had it so perfect timing...)
I should probably post another thgread but can hardly see anything at this point. Maybe sb here will know.

Good evening ladies
I have laying low this past week....boy I have missed 100000 pages....

I so glad to hear of the positive experiences of most people....it is so good to know that things work.

I had my ET on Sat....not the most fun experience...they did a light sedation...I think I would have preferred to be knocked out. The retrieved 23 eggs and as of sunday 19 fertilized and today 18 are dividing...so I am keeping my fingers crossed. My clinic doesnt do 5 day blast...they didnt get as good results so they only do day 3. I am scheduled tomorrow at 2:30 so I am praying that the majority are high quality. We havent decided how many to transfer, I think it depends on quality and what the doc feels. I am thinking 3 but we will have to see.

I feel like a bloated whale and still feel quite crampy and tired. I am glad that others are experiencing the same. I am just praying that I dont get PCOS....I would hate to delay the transfer...I am so ready. I have the next 3 days off work so I am laying low.

With the transfer they indicated that I should have a full bladder...a friend mentioned to me to delay peeing as long as possible...has anyone else heard of this? Cause I am thinkin that when u have to go u have to go....but I dont want to flush my lovely embies....

Well off for a nap...

take care and here's hoping for positives!
