Yeah, I tested. BFN this time! Bummer. I am back on clomid and going for u/s and iui next week. I am trying so hard to stay positive but its beyond hard. I guess we all have times like that. This will be iui #5 for me. After the first three the re found a polyp and removed it. She said the polyp acted like an iud and prevented the first three iuis from working. So now that it is gone she says we are really on try #2 this time. So yeah, i know all that in my head but it still am having a hard time feeling like this is ever going to work, you know.
Anyway, on a more positive note, Im starting accupuncture today  im a little nervous, but lots of people feel like it can help. At this point I think I'll try anything.

MK, I am sorry about your BFN. But I am proud of you for moving on to the next step.

How are you doing Maine? Any luck getting in with the IVF doc?

I went to the doc today and the cyst was gone!!!!!!!! Thanks for all the AF and Cystbegone dances from everyone. So, I am starting my last around of Clomid w/IUI today and if this does not work, meaning if my follies are good next week and they inseminate and then it does not work, then we will move on to IVF w/ ICSI. Go all the way.

Hope everyone is having a great Monday. Mine started off good.

Talk to you all later.

Stephjim

Yep, raced home after a training class at work that I raced to after my appt and took the Clomid for day 3. I was in such a hurry that I forgot it this am. My doc office is open on the weekends, but the big dummy there didnot have access to a schedule book and could not make my appt until yesterday am. So, I was thinking I could go after class that day. NO, I called at 705 and they said we can take you at 745. Well I had no choice I had to be at work at 9. So thank god, once I got there at like 815 with hell traffice, he told me no cyst. It made the rush to work a lot easier.

So, yes we are right back up there. My DH and myself are both eating healthier now and I am going to start throwing in more exercise, even if it means doing it without him. He is even taking his multivitamin and Vit E on a regular basis. Yay!!!

HI mkdig and stephjim,

mk-sorry to hear about your bfn  , but I'm glad you're back up and running. now that the polyp is gone, maybe it's all a clean slate in there and it will work this time. good idea about the accupuncture. i've wanted to try it, but haven't heard of anyone recommended in my area. maybe with the ivf consultation, they'll know of someone.

stephjim-yeah! cyst gone! good luck with this round! glad you and mk are together on this one!

i still haven't met with the ivf doc yet. my appointment should be in february, but no news on exactly when that will be. it's so frustrating! i debating on driving 4.5 hours south to meet the doc at his office! but with the crazy weather coming up (we just got 20 inches of snow, and zero degrees F planned for this weekend) i'll probably chicken out. if i haven't heard from the doc by the end of the week, i'll give them another call. arrrr!!!!

my wife in june started out doing an IUI cycle. She was converted to ivf due to 6 mature follicies. the result of the ivf was a miscarriage at 8 weeks. we then did an fet cycle which resulted in a chemical pregnancy. So back to the drawing board. We are in the middle of an iui. she is on clomid 75 unitsa day. with a possible insemination for this weekend. our clinic does 2 inseminations has anyone done two and was is the time frame in conjunction with the hcg shot. Also if their are any success stories please let me know

michael, good luck to you and your wife. it's all such a stressful thing to go through.

sqeezan has a success story with IUI, and i'm sure you could find her comments under 'pregnancy after treatment.' but so far she is the only one on this thread who has had a BFP with IUI.

I asked my doctor about two inseminations, but he didn't seem to think it would increase the chances. it must vary with different doctor's opinions though.

I had my scan this morning and I had two really nice follies. One that was 20cm on the left and one that was 22cm on the right and one that was like 10. We inseminated this morning after I got my HCG shot and DH had 57 million spermies. The doctor called it a B+ batch.

I did, tell the doc, because he was talking about doing one more insemination, that if this one does not work, we would like to move on. So, if , god forbid, this one does not take, then I will start on BCP day 2 of my next cycle.

Yay!!! I have the boys swimming in me now.

Looks like we are cycle buddies again this time stephjim. I had my iui today also. Although my follies were not as good. I only had one mature one and it was 30mm. Re seemed to think it could be really good big follie or a cyst, but no way to know yet so he thought we should try anyway. So Im trying to remain hopeful but cautious as well. So when are you going to test? I usually hold out until day 13 or so. Hope this one is it for both of us!!!

Man I hope this is it for both you guys!!! Good luck steph and mkdig!

I finally have an appt. with the IVF doc in mid-February. My AF is due now, so I should have an AF shortly after that appointment, and will be able to start the BCP phase. It seems so far away!! But from what my friend is going through, as soon as you start the meds, everything starts flying by.

So you'll both be testing around the 6th?

Well day 26 of my cycle is the 6th. Last cycle I did 26 days so I felt it would be safer to test on the 7th.

I hope this is it for all of us. The hormones are driving me crazy.

I got a BFN this time I started my period at work Wednesday a day early. It sucked. I kind of expected it but not there. So it helped to not be so hard on myself with being at work. I called the Dr office that same day and started scheduling stuff for IVF. I started my BCP yesterday and should start injectables around the 27th of Feb and then they are shooting for a retrieval date the week of the 16th. Fingers crossed this has to work especially since we have to pay so much for it. Right?

MK, any luck this month? I am sending lots of baby dust to you and maine.

Hi steph it looks like I'm right behind you. I had another bfn this time and we met with re on sat. to discuss options. We are going for one more iui and if it doesnt do it then we are on to ivf. Im a little scared of ivf but the upside would be we can use dh's sperm instead of donor (with icsi). and of course the increased success rates are a huge plus. you will have to let me know how things are going for you. I hope the ivf journey is smoother for you than iui's.
Maine- you must be going in for ivf consult soon . you must be excited.

Looks like pretty soon all three of us will meet on the ivf forum instead of iui. LOL. Good Luck to us all!

Yes I started my BCP on Thursday and go for my mock transfer where they play in my cervix for a little while and make sure everything looks good for when we do the real thing. I should start Lupron around the 27th of February and retrieval around the 16 of March. It is not going to come fast enough.

I am excited to be with you guys through this and look forward to hearing from you both.
