scan update

hi, had my scan this evening. we seen and heard the heartbeat and the size is right. it's amazing!! i had no idea that we be able to hear it. we're a bit blown away with it really. we told close family tonight so phone has been going all night. we're due july 27th. just waiting to hear from lisa and annette... what a day. phil x

Hi all, Our scan went great, it was AMAZING!!!! There were TWO little ones in there -- what a wonderful surprise! I thought my dh was going to fall over. My mom got to be there with us also and she would not stop screaming and crying! We have all been waiting so long for this as this is our 4th time going through IVF, so yes a very exciting day!!! Still going to wait to spread the good news until after first trimester. Although I think my mom has told everyone she possibly knows. A little worried about carrying TWINS, but going to try to stay very positive. Phil- I can't believe you could hear the heartbeat. Was this your 8wk scan also, that must have been wonderful-- Congratulations on the good news!! Now I think were just waiting for Lisa- Right?? Phil What great news it must be the day for it! You lucky thing haering the heartbeat already we haven't heard our yet and I am desperate to. you and DH must be so relieved, well done! Annette Another piece of amazing news, TWINS!!! How pleased you all must be. Even though we have to expect twins with IVF it's still a shock when it comes reality. Well, I can imagine anyway as I am having one. Just imagine next Christmas!! Well done both of you, look after yourselves and your babes. Love Dagny x

hi all, thanks for the lovely messages. annette!!!! twins!!! i'm screaming for you so i can only imagine how your mum reacted. what a fantastic surprise. dagny, annette this was my 6 wk scan so the last thing we expected was to hear the heartbeat. we are really very fortunate that the clinic we're with has most upto date equipment and the radiologist is brilliant in his field. take care all, phil x

Hi Phil and Annette fantastic news. My scan was fine and like Annette I got a bit of a pleasant shock as there were 2 little heartbeats, they looked like stars flickering in the night. They are both in separate sacs so not identical and he said both heartbeats looked strong. Feel totally overwhelmed and all our christmases have come at once. Just praying that everything goes well. Beckym - just to say he took a little while looking for the heartbeat and told me to make a fist and put both hands under my bottom with my thumbs at the top, he kept saying further, higher and I thought he was going to say that nothing was there, and then we saw one and as he moved some more we saw the other. Just if you didn't last time, put your hands under your bum and push yourself up, it might help as it did for me. Thanks for thinking about me ( we also had a good time at the christmas ball) Love Lisa xx

Phil,Annette, Lisa Wow I've not been on-line for a few days and when I return all this fantastic news of good scans and twins! Phil - wow saw and heard the heartbeat thats amazing.
