IVF then Bad Facial Skin Reaction!

I had my one and only IVF in November. The last week of my progesterone shots, I began to develop a rash / acne combo all over my face, neck and chest, which I cannot get rid of!

It's red, bumpy, and occasionally itchy. I've NEVER had this before.

Have taken Allegra, Benadryl, Claritin, Medrol.

Just recenlty I finally went to see a dermatologist. He says it's prob the reaction to the prog (common), as well as stress from the negative outcome, etc... He put me on cream, and pill, (about a month's worth). I'm 2 weeks into this, and it's really done nothing. My face looks... not good.

Has anyone had this? Did it go away??... or do I now have a permanent rash on my face. Please help.

Hi Michelle,
I too have noticed my face is extrememly red and looks flushed all the time. It burns when I am cleansing at night,...I have opted not to mask or exfoliate during this treatment time - simply because it is uncomfortable.

I have only been taking prog. for one week - - so I am sure this will get WORSE bf it gets better!

I hope you get some good results from the rx! Not sure where you live, but good old fashioned sunshine is always good to help any kind of rashes (in moderation).
