This board has been quite for a while now. I guess most of us are busy with our newborns. Congratulations to those that have delivered. I hope all is well with mom and baby(ies).
I'm doing great and little Kynnedi is doing great also. I had a longer recovery period because my potassium and magnessium were low but I'm finally feeling back to normal. Today, January 10 was my original due date. It seem like it was so far away and would never get here. But I'm glad everything turned out the way it did. Kynnedi will be a month old on Saturday, January 12. These days are going by tooooo fast already.
I'm trying to post a picture of her but don't see how to do it. Can someone tell me how to post a picture that would be great.
wow, look at all of the babies that have been born since I was here last, double wow! so sorry though for not posting. I've been battling some depression over my m/c from last Jan. our boy would be about3 months now...
Congratulations to you all!!!!
So, who is left out of this group to deliver?
me - I'm 37w, cervix is softening but no dialation yet. I've been quite miserable the past few days with bh contractions and sharp pains in my pelvis. I also think I have passed part of my mucus plus 3 times now. It's just the waiting game now for me. I want to enjoy every last minute of being pg since this will be my last. I've really enjoyed growing my baby girl inside. and btw, we CANNOT come up with a name. We've sorta liked, Lyndsi, Makenzi, Kaliegh, Rachel to go with big sis, Sydni. Anysuggestions? Last name is Bowen.

Steph & Jovigal.....and me all awaiting our beautiful babies! I finished work last Monday and preped all week for the shower which was Sat--50+ people and a success as far as I'm concerned. DH even won the Texas Hold "em tourny at the end of the night!
I'm glad everyone is enjoying their new babies, I am anxiously waiting on mine. I used to think she (Sydney) was going to come early, now I think she's very comfortable and has decided to stay put. I have DR appt today but he never gives any insight as to his thoughts on timing.
I broke down and went and got 3D pictures last week...her face looks just like mine as an infant...totally bizaar, DH was a little worried about her huge cheeks, until I showed him my baby pictures...then he was slightly put at ease....slightly!
Hope everyone has a wonderful day...enjoy those babies ladies!

Noodle I am glad that things are still going well for you and Sydney. I had my shower this past weekend and shew glad to say that is over while fun I always thought that he was gonna get here before I had mine and now that it is over I am wondering if he is ever gonna come out.... Well his eviction notice says January 21st at 7am, but what time he gets here is still a good guess.
Jovi glad to hear from you.. I did think of you the other day when reading the posts wondering if you and baby were doing well. Keep us posted on how things are going.
As for here all those BH have done nothing as of the last visit last week I go again tomorrow, not as anxious about my appts or even excited since I am not getting anymore sonos.LOL I feel spoiled and I love the Dr for keeping me relaxed through this entire pregnancy... I am at the point I just want him here so I can finally breath and know that he is OK. Well I guess I will update again after my appt tomorrow and check in to see if there are any changes.
Hey guys
Things are good here. Just super busy with all that I am involved in at the moment. I went back to school this semester, I am still doing cub scouts and the twins. It is nutty to say the least but I love every minute of it!
Jovigal
I know what you mean about the depression thing. My baby would have been one this March. I still think about it even though I have my wonderful children! It is still there and always will be. Hang in there you are so close to having a healthy baby!!!
Mattie
I know what you mean about your due date being forever away and then boom it is here and things are going well. Congrats on a good month. Happy that you guys are doing well....
Wannabe
I know what you mean and it does take about that long before you feel pretty good. I totally know the pain that you are talking about and then feeling a little depressed because you cant do the things you would normally be doing because of the pain. Hang in there it gets better and then at the end of a month you should be doing well. A new years day baby! Woo Hoo!!!! Congrats!!!!
Gotta run catch up later.... Sophie is bawling!!!

I'm still knocked up.... But besides that I am complete but still only dilated to 1... man I was praying that they would say 3 heck even 2 woulda been some improvement... but I guess not. Was told again that labor will be quick and not to wait too long before calling I can only laugh at that because I hope they are not jinxing me into a 15+ hour labor.
I hope those of you that have not delivered yet are doing well. Your end is near and will be here before you know it. And to those who have delivered- hope you are enjoying your little angels. And to wannabeone -we both have New Years Day babies! What a way to start the new year!
I just wanted to share my labor experience this time. I woke up on Jan 1st morning with what felt like gushing fluid which I thought was amniotic fluid. I didn't pay too much attention to it since it was clear and had no smell to it. It wasn't until early afternoon when I started feeling crampy in my stomach. So by 4:00 I decided to call my OB's office and it turned out my OB was the one On Call for the holiday. So she called me and told me to come into the hospital so they could check to see if I was leaking fluid. Well she found me to be dilated to 4cm with contractions 10-15min apart. She did an internal test twice to see if I was leaking fluid but it turned out I wasn't. She said many women having their 2nd or 3rd babies can walk around dilated to 4 or 5cm and not be in real labor. So she said to go home and call when my contractions were 5 min apart. So guess what happens when I leave the hospital? The contractions started hitting me one right after the other. We came home and timed them for about a half hour and I had so many so fast and many lasting 1 min or more. I was in so much pain like I never felt with my first pregnancy. So we called the hospital and went back. The labor nurse checked me and had a look of disbelief on her face when she said I had dilated to 8cm in an hour and a half. So fortunately I was the only one in the labor and delivery area so they had all the nurses in my room getting everything setup and me prepped for an epidural. It was so chaotic - since they really wanted me to get some pain relief before it was too late. Thankfully I got the epidural and it took away just enough pain to make it more comfortable but still felt a lot. I ended up pushing for approximately 20 minutes and then Abigail was born. They had a little trouble with my blood pressure and bleeding afterwards but that was it. It's kinda funny to think that I could've given birth at home if we had waited much longer. We never should've been sent home but we made it through and now have our beautiful dark haired angel - who's 2 weeks old today! I'm feeling pretty good and my tummy has almost disappeared. Still don't have the energy back yet but I know it will come.
I wish all of you lovely mommies and mommies-to-be the very best. Looking forward to new updates. Take Care!
Christine

Christine...nice labor story. I am still waiting...and waiting....and waiting.
I am still doing eliptical 5 DAW but it's too cold here to walk outside and my girl loves her fresh air walks. I really thought she would be out by now, she's very low and in position just isn't ready to make an appearence yet.
Steph...Jovi...or am I the only preg girl left?????
Enjoy those babies ladies

Noodle you are not the only one that is still preggo. I am until Monday for now, that is unless he finally makes his entrance before then.. yeah thats not gonna happen sooooooo I am in the preggo club with ya for a few more days!!! When do you go again to see dr? I am complete and dilated1 and he is still at -3 so he has not dropped down yet.
Hope everyone else is enjoying spending time with thier new babies!!!!
Hey noodle and Steph, I'm still preggo too. I go in the am to my OB for a check. Last Fri I was complete but he did say my cervix was softening some. Last night I was having BH about every 6 min, lasting for about 30-45 sec, and this went on for about 2 hours. I thought for sure something might be happening. But they never got any stronger. I told DH that I would go to bed and if they woke me up, I knew I was in labor........but, they didn't. I'm alittle afraid of being induced. I was with DD and it made the contractions unbearable. Yes, I got an epi but doc turned it off cause I couldn't feel to push. So, 3 hours of pushing with no pain relief and pitocin, YIKES! I don't want that to happen again. Gals, it will come soon enough. Enjoy your time preparing and resting.
Christine, thanks for sharing your story! This is #2 for me and I have a fear of not making it to the hospital in time. What if I mistake the BH for real labor and hold out too long????
Question to all of the new moms - what was your hospital's protocal on letting you hold the baby and to breastfeed as soon as you delivered? I really want to make that skin-to-skin contact immediately and try to nurse. If a nurse tries to take the baby I might slap her.

I'm with you Jovigal, my doc said they would allow me to BF right away...but I have in my head exactly what I want to happen, of course, the perfect labor and her latching on right away....but given my history....you never know, my doc just said to be flexible, what ever will be done will be done for the safety of baby and mom.
Steph...your doc might induce? Mine is so laid back...and I'm so on the edge. I do have to admit that since I stopped working I feel so much better, no cramping, just very relaxed, I'm meditating 20 min daily and just trying to focus on the miricle that is going to happen soon....please tell me it's going to happen soon.....
Enjoy ladies!

Noodle, I do so hope that is happens soon for you.I know the sooner you can hold her the happier you will be, My dr has already scheduled me it is Monday at 7am, which I do hope that I make it until then since we just got home from taking DH to the dr only to find out that he has the flu.
(Oh joy) He has the fever, sinus pressure, achy feeling all over and is just a big baby of course but with him like this I can't see them letting him in the delivery room any time soon....... so I hope my lil man waits till Monday to give his dad a chance to get better.
Well, my OB said I was starting to dilate (just 1cm), FINALLY. Maybe those cramps I've been having have been doing their job. He wants me to come back next Wed to see if I'm progressing.
Steph, that's bad your DH has the flu. Hope he recovers soon. Are you still dilated to just 1?
Noodle - getting closer......

Yeah Jovi still just 1 I was hoping to go without being induced but all those wonderful contractions are not helping me dilate any further Ohhh well now that DH is sick I guess that could be a good thing. Hope you progress by your next appt.
