Anyone doing study with Dr Foulk in Reno

Kari ~ That is truly a miracle. I had a friend getting ready to do an IVF and the same thing happened to her. She has a beautiful baby boy now. Can you post pics???? STICKY VIBES

Thanks ladies!! I am still a little nervous. I called my OBGYN and I am going to go get an u/s on Thursday the 24th at 10:30 so We will just make sure that it is in the uterus. I was nervous because I have a blocked tube, so I am thinking it has a strong possibilty of being in the tube. SO I will feel better about the whole thing after that. But, still nervous I have a tendency to lose them fairly quickly. Even though they have checked out all possiblities and there is supposedly nothing wrong with me to make me lose them. SO we will see!!

Knrjack-hope that all goes well with you!! The good news is that with the study, it will be significantly cheaper. The doctor told me that we just have to pay for anesthesia and meds and getting there. So it will be significantly cheaper. Anyway, I am excited for you! Let me know how it goes!! STICKY VIBES!!!

Kari ~ I will still keep the hope for you and sticky vibes. I just read your post to DH. How could we get so lucky for this study to come along at a time like this. Are you in Utah then? Well, I suppose I can pick you up on my way to Reno.

Just kidding. I am thrilled that there is someone in the study together for support. My Re appointment is this coming monday. I am so excited and nervous.
I hope the spotting stops and that little bean sticks and the study is just a story 9 months from now.

Kimberly, ~ Ok, I will ask again. HOw many did you have transfered when you got pregnant with Bode & Analesie (sorry if I misspeled). Dh and I are going to transfer 3 and he hopes 2 stick and I want all 3. I am crazy but have waited for so long this may be my only shot. Dh and I have been married for 13 years. Went to school and now that we are both out of school we thought no probelmo. WRONG. 3 years later Male factor. I sent you a PM as well. Hope to pick your brain over and over.

Knrjack- yeah isn't it amazing. I seriously was thinking I wouldn't be doing it ever again and then this came along. It was a huge blessing. So I am just hoping that if this doesn't stick, that I can still get in the study. But I have my doubts. I am just sure that I need to learn patience from all this. So I should just wait it out.

Getting nervous. We have to do the Semen anaylsis in the morning. This is the last thing before they say abosulutely we are in the study. AUGH. Our Plan of care/ Semen backup & financial appointment is tomorrow at 10am.

How is everything going for you?

Knrjack sounds exciting. So did you go in and sit down and chat with them?? I talked with the gal that is in charge of the Utah patients today. I called her about this whole being pregnant and now losing it thing and she was so much more helpful than my OBGYN's office. They don't really do the pregnancies that are worriesome. Well they do, but you have to have the concern enough and call when they are actually in the office. If I didn't like him that much I would switch. Anyway, she said Dr Foulk will want a beta # so I will get that done Tuesday morning and I meet with Dr foulk on Thursday night. Hopefully they will get me some more info!! I am so just worried about what to do about doing the study or not. I was really thinking there was no way for me to get pg on my own, but now I see that my tube must not be as blocked as they thought. So could I get pregnant on my own again? Should I just do the study because it is cheaper than regular IVF, but I am not sure I have very mixed emotions right now.

ok so my IVF office just called and they said my beta was 5 so it is definately a miscarriage. It is a bummer, but I am amazed at how at peace I am. So I think we are going to check out the study thing and go from there. I meet with Dr Foulk on Thursday night!!
