hey joanie

I think I started eating pineapple a couple days before ER and then all thru until my PG was confirmed by an ultrasound at around 6 weeks.
(DH was the designated pineapple chopper -- those things are tough to cut!!) I ate about a serving (1/2 cup) everyday.
I don't know when or how much you are supposed to eat...
and only fresh!
I wonder if some Pineapple Importer started this myth....

good luck, joanie!

Beth,

We used 3 embryos from the 2nd fresh cycle, they were better quality, all excellent. One didn't survive the thaw so they had to pull another one out. we have 3 left from 1st cycle and 6 from 2nd cycle. DH says no more kids so I don't know what we are going to do with the little frozen embies. That is the hard part about FET.

Joanie, also ask about assisted hatching. I really think that helped with implantation. My DH actually got to see them under a microscope, cells dividing. He said it was awesome! I really do think changing doctors helped me get the best care. My 1st clinic was so big and impersonal.

GL!

My clinic talked about assisted hatching but they said they only use it if the embryo is really rigid. They said that they rarely do assisted hatching and said they have probably done 1 or 2 in the past year. They don't even have it priced. I had to ask them to get the price for me just in case.

Did your clinic state a special reason why they used assisted hatching or did they say that they do it for everyone? Just want to get informed

Joanie,

I think it just depends on the embryonologist. He had better results when they did assisted hatching and since I had done this 3 times before they wanted to do everything they could to get me pregnant. My other clinic though didn't do AH, they didn't want to interfere with the process too much I think. But if it works hey I was all for it! I was just happy someone was changing it up and not continuing to do the same thing over and over again expecting different results.
So how is the cycle going? have you started on Lupron yet? How many are you going to transfer back and how many do you have left?

Beth
I am starting my pineapple tomorrow. Went to the store tonight and am getting ready. Any thoughts on Evening Primrose?

Full of Faith
Those babies are beautiful!!!! Thanks for all of the great advice. I agree with the changing of protocol. I started Lupron last week Sunday. I slept a lot on Sunday and was soooo glad to be off Monday because I slept the entire day. Now I am cool. AF started today. I was soooo happy because that means that things are on schedule. I am thinking about transferring five on Feb 18. We did three the first time. I have 9 left.

Uhoh watch out Joanie, you may end up like me...sleep deprived x 3!!! HAHA
My Doc wouldn't transfer more than 3 and that was only because I did so many other times. I am only 30 and was 29 at the time. But it was meant to be!

I'll be praying for a BFP for this FET!!

Thanks, I need all of the prayer that I can get. I feel really positive right now. AF came on time and that really made me happy. Oh, and I started my pineapple tonight.

It is scary to think about how many to transfer. I just really want this to work. Was your pregnancy complicated due to the triplets?

Joanie:

Just relax. That's the greatest thing that you can do. The fresh cycle that my DH and I did, we transferred 4 out of 7. We froze the remaining three. None of the 4 took. Then we did a FET w/ the last three and only one took. We're just so blessed that one took.

Joanie,

I was blessed to not have to go thru all the complications that can come with triplet pregnancy, but of course it can happen. It is the risk you take and I am sure if you did end up with trips your Dr would try and get you to reduce. But once you get to your OB/peri they probably wouldn't recommend it. Nowadays trips are born all the time with no problems as long as you have good care and you make the effort to do all you can to carry them as long as you can. Of course that includes bed rest, lots of eating and your body is long gone! But it is all worth it believe me.
I'll just pray for 1 but if you have 3 that is ok too!

hey joanie

that lupron makes you nuts, doesn't it? have you had the "lupron headache" yet? ug! :?
My transfer is tomorrow Feb 8, and we have 4 frosties and we are thawing all of them.
and I really haven't heard anything about evening primrose...I don't even know what it is! Did you find out anything?

fulloffaith - I look at your beautiful babies for inspiration. How wonderful not to have any complications. and you went almost full term?? awesome.
maybe your dh will change his mind later down the road about more kids...when you guys aren't as sleep deprived! lol :D
don't give up on those frosties yet.
