Discharge anyone?

Post by chand73 »

Hi all,

I had my ET Saturday, Jan 12th. and my HCG test is scheduled for the 26th of Jan. But yesterday I had a whitish sticky discharge....is it cuz of the hormones...? I got it only once. Some history about me....this is my first IVF....I had 25 eggs retrieved and 14 fertilised and of them 10 were mature. I had 3 transferred. I am still bloated and my ovaries are too much enlarged. But I'm concerned about the discharge....did this happen to anyone else?

Dear Chand

It may be the outcome of progesterone. If you are taking pessaries which are inserted in the vagina, then sometimes you may experience discharge.

I know its a dificult period-2ww but just hang in there with patience and faith in God and everything will be just fine on JAN 26.

Sending sticky baby dust your way!

All the best!!!

The same experience here - and I spoke with my Dr. who seemed surprised about this,...all seems fine now. I am thinking it is related to a large number of follies! ( I had 31)

Hope this makes you feel a bit better!!

Post by chand73 »

Thanx everyone for ur reply.....yes, this is quite a stressful period.....tired of sitting around not doing much, I try to keep myself unstressed but it's hard. I had a blood tinged discharge yesterday....am wondering if it was implantation bleeding or something else....did this happen to anyone else. It happened only once and after that the discharge returned to the whitsh kind. This is realy great to talk to all u out there who r in the same boat. We can't see each other's faces but can touch each other's hearts. Love and luck to all.

chand.... I have the whitish discharge as well. Of course, all these symptoms make us so nervous and curious. My preg test is on Sat. It's been a stressful 2ww for me, on top of it all I have a wicked cold. I sneeze so violently, that of course I am afraid I blew it. The worrying never ends. I am so happy to have a forum to vent and get positive feedback. Best of luck to you, how are you feeling today?

Hi friends,

I have that white/creamy discharge, which to tell you the truth is not rare in me, but I worry that it may be a sign that AF is coming
I'm currently in the 2ww...trying to keep my PMA, but sometimes it's hard not to loose hope. Anybody had a similar experience and got a BFP? I'm testing on 1/25

How are the other ladies in this thread doing?

All I am also in my 2WW and for the past two days have had a white discharge. There has been a little bit in my panties and a little bit when I wipe. Im not sure what that could be either.

Also do any of you'll know when you Ovulate during IVF. I here people say they are a certain number of days past ovulation. How do they know when ovulation is. This may be a dumb question and as much as I have been reading up on this, I never found the answer to this question.

WashingtonDA: it's not a dumb question. I believe in IVF they count ER as the ovulation day, after all that's the day when they take our eggies out of our ovaries (that's what the trigger shot does, makes us ovulate)

They figure the HCG shot should make you ovulate around 34-36 hours later ...while they are retrieving the eggs. I think it makes it easier to retrieve the eggs as well. :D

From what you are all saying...it sounds like the white discharge is normal.

testing

Post by PrincessB »

Thanks so much!

Yes i did! It was the only thing that kept me sane. I got a very faint line at 5 days past a 5 day transfer. It got darker from then one. But I know that's very odd to get positives that early... I'm wondering if twins are in the works?!?

Congratulations Princess B....U DID IT!! Now u have to take real good care of urself...and pray for the rest of us. I start my last week waiting now....but I don't have any other symptoms except for the discharge and night sweats...like no cramping which I heard is a good sign. How r the rest of u doing? I can't seem to concentrate on anything and the mood swings are aweful. Wish U all out there what ever u wish for.

Hi Chand,

I'm feeling just like you in terms of the mood swings and not being able to concentrate on anything else. I test on Friday (1/25) and it seems SO far away. I had said that I would not POAS, but I'm starting to feel tempted.

I also have the discharge, and some cramping, but trust me, that doesn't mean much. The cramping could be from the enlarged ovaries, and/or the progesterone. Some women don't feel a thing, others do. Two women may have the same symptoms, one gets a BFP and the other a BFN. Nothing is guaranteed, except the test itself. My PMA was very high up until yesterday. Today I'm feeling a bit better, but very anxious. Let's hold on to the idea that we are PUPO (pregnant until proven otherwise).

Esperanza -- Sounds like you need some words of encouragement. Remember just a few days ago you had to snap me back to the reality of PUPO. Promise that you will keep that thought too.

I know it's been hard. I've had cramps, I've had discharge, I've cried, I'm tired, I'm hungry and some days I jut have nothing so I don't know what to make of all this either. It has been proven on this board that everyones symptoms are different and that anything can happen.

Some days I feel as though it didn't happen and it's really hard staying positive. I must admit that I think I am gonna POAS today or tomorrow. I'm gonna get my HPT test and when I get the nerve, I'm gonna test.

Don't know what my feelings will be either way after that but truly..... what can it hurt. I've put in my mind that if it doesn't work this time, than I have 5 more times to try since we did the Shared Risk Program.
