Hi all,
haven't posted for a few months due to technical hitches! (ie computer wouldn't let me on!) but for those of you that remember me I am one of the Xmas miracles form last Xmas who conceived naturally after failed IVF.
Anyway just thought I'd you know that I am now the proud mother of a baby son called Matthew, born on 1st september by emergency C-section. He is now 10wks old and is gorgeous - I never thought it was possible to love someone so much. The birth was a little traumatic - 4 days of contractions ending with him getting his head stuck and then he was whisked away to SCBU with a fever and dehydration 2 days after he was born but thankflly everything turned out OK and he is now a happy and contented little boy, and the apple of my eye.
Enjoy every minute of your pregnancies and believe me the best is yet to come !!
Lulu
Hi and congratulations

You must be so happy, im glad everything is going ok, i cant wait to have my two little bunddle off joys - give baby a cuddle from me!!!

Love Louise
26weeks 6days Twins
Lulu
Great to hear from you and another of the old Christmas Miracle Club
We had a little boy too, Joshua who's 13 weeks. Can't remember what life was like before he came, he is all consuming in time, and love. I too had a c-section but only because he was a real whopper 9lb 8and a half oz and they weren't sure if i could birth him naturally, they knew my history and how precious he was to us and didn't want me to take any chances.
Bet like us you are really looking forward to your first Christmas together, even if he is a bit young to appreciate it I'm still fussing around buying stockings for prezzies etc.
Take care of yourself, DH and baby Matthew
LOL
Terri
xxxxxx
Thanks for your replies - Terri - it's great to hear from you again and you're so right - they are incredibly time consuming and I can't remember what I used to do with my time before Matthew arrived but I wouldn't change things for the world. Like you I can't wait for Christmas this year - haven't yet bought anything for him but we are going to his 1st Christmas party in December and have bought him a lovely fun christmas outfit to wear- he looks so cute. Joshua is only 2 weeks older than Matthew (I think) so it will be great to exchange details of important milestones as they happen. Hope you are enjoying motherhood as much as I am - those sleppless nights are so worth it.
Lulu

Lulu, Terri and Eve Have a wonderful christmas with your little ones, I can't believe it has been a year already.

I am so pleased it has worked out for you all.

It was not meant to be for us but here's hoping for another miracle.

Lots of Love

Lisa(Loonpants)
xxx
Hi girls
I can't believe a year has gone by !!!!!!!!!!
This time last year didn't even know that Josh was on the way, was still feeling very down about our failed attempt and was trying to rally myself to enjoy Christmas. On the 13th of December our Miracle happened, I was pregnant again and now a year later we have the most gorgeous, funny adorable little boy.
It's so good to hear from the other miracle mums and congratulations and much love to all.
Our update......... Josh is now 16 weeks. He's 18 lbs 6 oz which means he's already doubled his birth weight (not supposed to do that until he's 6 months apparently!!! he's discovering what his legs are for and is already relishing his new solid food...baby rice is disgusting!!!! but his favourite jar is cauliflower cheese and the Petit Danone fromage frais made with follow-on milk. He smiles and gurgles his way through the day but is quite demanding so needs constant stimulation and cuddles (not that I'm complaining).
He goes to sleep straight after his bath at about 6.30 and apart from his 10 o' clock feed , sleeps right through to 7am the next day.

He really is the love of our lives and I can't belive how different our life is one year down the line. To all those mums to be - imminent or still trying, it really is worth all the stress, strain and worry and i wish you all the luck and love in the world.

Merry Christmas all

Terri & Josh
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

[Edited by tshepher on 07-Dec-03 13:07]
Hi all
just an update from me - matthew is 14wks today and has a really happy contented personality - apart from at night Am having a nightmare at the moment after 10wks of sleeping really well he has somehow last the knack of settling himself and is presently waking every 2hrs from 7pm through to 7am the next morning and will only selttle after being fed- as you can imagine I am knackered!!! - any suggestions greatly recieved. Just hoping that solids will do the trick in a few weeks but he is quite a snacky eater. Anyway in spite of the sleepless nights( Terri - I'm so jealous, how did you manage it with Josh?) it is still worth every minute and best wishes and a Happy Xmas to everone out there
Lulu
