Hi Girls,

Well I never thought it would happen, but tomorrow I finish work and start my maternity leave. I don't know how I am going to be, will I be sad will I be emotional?? to be honest I have worked for the company coming upto 7 years and it will be weird to say bye to everyone but on the other hand I will be going back after a year but I still am a very emotional person.

I also have my midwife appointment tomorrow which is at 09:50 so I will go into work when I have had that appointment.

Hope everyone else is well, I guess the baby could come anytime now and to be honest I feel like the baby will come early. I have also been having a lot of pressure down below but I think all this is normal.

How is everyone doing? Sally/Alison and the list goes on?

Love
Shell.
34wks pg
xx

Hi Shell ........ know exactly how you feel. I'm dreading the day I finish at the end of Jan as I know I'll make a real idiot of myself crying. Been here 18 years, since school, and am very attached. Think I'll be going back part-time but am going to see how things go and discuss it with my boss perhaps May time next year.

I know they'll have a party for me and I wish they wouldnt!!! Hate crying in front of people but I guess we'll both just have to grin and bear it!!!

Good luck for tomorrow - I feel for you.

Love, Jo. XXXXXX

Dear Shell,

Well I've finished work today!!! I've been working for the same company for over 5 years, so it's been a mixed day! I work at home, so it's been quite quiet, but I did get a nice present and card off my UK colleagues.

Now it's time to rest and get prepared for the birth, which as you say could be any time now! I'd rather get Christmas and New Year out of the way though.

Hope your fluid retention is okay. I've been to see an osteopath today about my swollen feet and hands, and I found it useful. She gave me some exercises for my hubby to try and it did seem to help.

Take care,

Alison xx

Hi Everyone,

Well I finished work and I did get upset but I knew I would. The 2 managers (one being the director) done a lovely speech and it was most touching. They presented me with a massive bouquet of flowers, a tin of Roses, and a department collection had been done also which they got me £120 in vouchers. Off some of the other girls I had, A little baby suit, baby grows, bibs, socks, scratch mitts and I had 2 knitted cardigans. I was just amazed and very emotional today but least now I am out.

I did also have a midwife appointment today and she said if I hadn't of been finishing work she would of said I had to stop. I have to take things easy now for the remaining of my pg because of the swelling.

Girls hope your all well, I am going to bed now cus I can't keep my eyes open.

Love to all, and ain't it good news about Emma.

Love
Shell.
34wks 1d pgxx
