Phoebe- The night that I got my BFP, my DH and I went out for Mexican. I felt a little nauseous and was not able to finish my meal. Other than that, I have had daily brief nausea spells but nothing big. I still feel my two twinges now and again, but cramping and spotting has stopped since estrogen patches were started. I'm anxious to get through Christmas so I can get my next beta results. Hopefully they are increasing like they're supposed to. Hope you have a good holiday.
Phoebe- My third beta came back today. It was 1506 19dp3dt. RE says everything looks good. Started having some sore BB's and some on/off M/S. U/S is on 1/9. How are you feeling these days? How was your Christmas?
That's awesome Lisa!! My Christmas was great! How about you?
I have my 3rd beta this Saturday the 29th. I'll ask what my number is this time. What is BB's and M/S? I've just been really tired. I started spotting on Christmas. I spoke to the nurse today and she said it was okay because it isn't heavy and there is no cramps. It is also very light. Did your bleeding stop? She said something about it being old blood? I don't know. I kinda freaked out at first and called my friend. But, she told me that she had that with both of her children. So, I felt relieved. I still don't have an exact date for my first U/S, but the nurse told me today that it would be scheduled approx. 2 weeks after my next beta. I'm so excited for it because I want to see the baby/babies on the screen and be able to have a picture.

Phoebe- My Christmas was great as well. We told our parents and my sister-in-law and brother-in-law. They were so excited. BBs=boobs and M/S=morning sickness. They usually say that brown spotting is old blood and not to worry too much. If it turns red or stays red, that may be of more concern. For me, it was mostly brown, only when I wiped except one time when it was clearly red to the point where I used a liner. And that same night I seemed to be cramping more. I was positive that it was over and my beta was the next morning and I had to work all that night. But all's well that ends well and I still got my BFP. Mine stopped within 24 hours because they prescribed estrogen patches. Has yours stopped? I still have the same symptoms as before and I'm also very tired. My problem is that I have been having a really hard time sleeping. I have terrible insomnia for the first time since I have been working nights at my job. I used to be able to sleep great. Don't know if it's nerves or what but I'm hoping after the U/S on 1/9 that I can start relaxing a little bit. Did you tell any of your family?
I've been on the patches since the beginning (Vivelle). The spotting has not stopped, but it is very light and the color is also light. So, I am just waiting and monitoring it. I've been off from work so I've just been laying around the house relaxing as much as possible. I think I will also feel better once I have my first US. I don't have any M/S...thank goodness! Yet, anyway. We'll see what happens next week. We told our immediate family and close friends. We are waiting to tell everyone else. Some of my co-workers also know because they were wondering why I was out so much. They are very supportive, so it's good. Anyway, I'll find out what my beta is tomorrow, and I'll let you know. Have a good weekend!!

Nurse just called and said that everything looks good. My 3rd beta came back at 8695. So my first US is scheduled for 1/15. I'm so excited! I can't wait for the US!
I freaked out last night because the spotting got darker. But the nurse told me that it should be okay. Let me know how you US goes!

Hey Phoebe:
How are you feeling? How was New Year's? Did you have your fill of sparkling grape juice?
I had another unexpected event happen on Sunday night. I started spotting again and was concerned because I hadn't spotted since I had been on estrogen patches. So I called the RE on call and he told me to come to the clinic Monday morning for another beta and an U/S. He warned me that we might not see much on the U/S since I wasn't even quite 6weeks, but we would try anyway.
So I went in and had the b/w and the U/S showed one healthy looking yolk sac measuring appropriate to my dates. He told me to stay in bed for 48 hours and to take a full week off of work and rest just to be safe. I have my next U/S on 1/9 (my originally scheduled one) and will hopefully see a heartbeat by then. But at least I know how many I have in there now and can stop guessing.
Happy New Year! My new year was great...but I missed out on all the fireworks because of all the smoke. It was the first time that I had to stay in the house and just watch from the window. But, it was all worth it.
I'm still spotting. It's fairly light as far as flow. My Dr. didn't seem too concerned about it. He told me to just take it easy. They told me that it is old blood. How are your shots going. I'm still in a lot of pain from them, I can hardly wait till we can stop. That along with sore BBs isn't much fun. I go back to work on Thursday...not looking forward to it. Let me know how your US goes on the 9th.

Hi Phoebe:
My ultrasound on the 9th went very well... saw the heartbeat (150/min). Also saw little arm/leg buds. We have another u/s on the 16th with my RE and then we're released to my OB. My first OB appointment will be later that same afternoon. Feeling more tired and more morning sickness but handling it ok. How are you feeling these days?
Glad to hear that your ultasound went well!! I'm feeling really tired too. I have some morning sickness, but it is mostly in the afternoon and night when I get home from work...thank goodness! I can't wait for my US on Tuesday! We're really excited to see the baby!! Are you still doing your shots? Do you know when we get to stop them? I'm hoping that my Dr. will let me stay with him...I plan to ask him on Tuesday. My original OB doesn't deliver anymore so I would have to be referred out again. So, I'd rather skip that whole process since I've been with my IVF Dr. for about a year now. Anyway, get lots of rest...we deserve it!! I'll keep you posted on my us.

I forgot to ask you, did your Dr. say how far along you are? The people who know keep asking me, but I have no idea. According to the calculator on this website, we should be about 8 weeks...is that what your Dr. said? Just curious...thanks!!

Phoebe:
We're 8 weeks tomorrow! I always look forward to Tuesdays because that's the day we enter a new gestational week. After my next U/S Wednesday, I'm released to my OB. It's a little bittersweet because I feel well cared for at my RE, but I also really like my OB office. So it's not such a bad transition for me. I hope you get to stay with your doc if that's what you want. As for the shots, I am supposed to have my last shot on 1/28...the marker being you can stop at 10 weeks. I will also stop my estrogen patches that day. Looking forward to that...my butt is really starting to bother me lately. Anyway, good luck tomorrow. Let me know how it goes.
Phoebe:
How did your u/s go? Did your RE let you stay with that practice or do you have to go to an OB? We had another U/S yesterday which went very well. Baby is measuring right on time...still has a very strong heartbeat. We got a few cool pictures. We'll have another u/s on the 30th as my OB office intends to follow us as closely as my RE was since they know we're used to it. So that's pretty cool. Let me know how things are going with you.
Our u/s went well. We got a picture and we also got to see the heartbeat. It all seems real now. I am going to have to change to a different OB but it's okay, I can go to one that is closer to home. I have to go back again on Tuesday for another u/s, and then I think after that, I will go to a new OB. I think I will be able to stop the PIO shots next Wednesday. They also told me that I am only 7 weeks. Well 7 weeks and 4 days on Tuesday. So, I don't know how they are counting.

Are they telling you that you are measuring at 7 weeks 4 days or that your are gestationally at 7 weeks 4 days...because if they are saying you are gestationally at 7 weeks 4 days, then I have no idea how they're calculating it. You should ask them. I am 9 weeks on Tuesday and we had ER the same day if I'm remembering correctly. Don't know what to tell you.
