Okay ladies here is a picture of my HPT. It's not as dark as what I can see here at home but it's definately there.
I am so happy right now. Please continue to pray that this is no False Positive. I plan to take another test tomorrow morning to make sure things stay the same.

Washingtonda - I POAS 5dp3dt and it was a BFN. I then tried on 7dp3dt and it was a BFP. Not even as strong as yours, mine was very light and I had to wait the whole 2 min to see it. The HCG is usally out of your system the latest 14 days after trigger. I found this for you:
If you had an hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) shot and want to take a home pregnancy test, you must keep this in mind. Approximately one half of drug is removed each 28 hours and so for accurate results you should wait at least 12 days and preferably 14 days from an hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) injection to be confident that a qualitative test is giving a reliable answer. If you test too soon after an hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) shot, you might get a false positive. Most doctors recommend that you wait 14 days after a 10,000 IU injection, 10 days after a 5,000 IU injection, or 7 days after a 2,500 IU injection.
Just saw your stick.....I see the line!!! I think you are out of the woods. Keep taking them over the next few days ( I know I did). POAS is a mad journey unto itself so you have to be prepared for it, that is why I never recommend but always did it. I felt I could handle the negative at beta if I had a heads up. I think this is a BFP...enjoy it!

I tested at 10dp retrieval and got a very very faint line. You could barely see it. At 11 days it got darker at 12 days it got darker and I felt really good about it.
I wouldnt suggest testing every day. I would maybe do one more tommorow to see if you get another one and leave it at that. Be content with it. I tested at 12d past and it wasnt as dark as the day before. I got really sick to my stomach and was all bent out of shape. I went to the store and bought 2 different brands and came home and did it again. Those were the darkest. It seems that some of the tests just show differently. After I got those last 2 i decided to be happy and stop torturing myself withe the hpts!
You've got a bfp honey! The hcg should be gone and if there were traces there it would be extremely light. Go celebrate!
Congratulations!!!! I am sooo happy for you!!! I would have to say the HCG is out of your system too. It takes about 10 days to get out of your system. Based on 10000 units...it takes about 1000 a day to leave your system. However, it is not to say that someone can get a false positive ...because the HCG took a little longer to leave your system for some reason. I would actually wait till 12-14 days past trigger to test....to eliminate the possibility of a false positive. Washingtonda...that makes you 15 days past trigger! WTG Washingtonda!!!

Thanks for the advice. I may test again tomorrow with first morning urine and if that's still positive I will test with my EPT on Thursday morning before going up for my beta. The EPT gives a simple Pregnant or Not Pregnant answer. There are no lines.
I'll save that for last. You are the one who had me get two different types of test (hehehe).
Thanks for all the answers and support. Please continue to pray for us. Thursday is our actual test day so I' really anxious.
I haven't read about anybody on here who got positives betas that weren't pregnancies so I'll take my POSITIVE with a smile.

MLB wrote:Sorry for the long wait on the u/s report. School starts Monday and our Teaching Assistant training started Thursday and it has been insane since. My U/S showed a heartbeat. Very cool. The pic she captured looked like Michelle's, but there was a brief moment she had a more clear image. Not sure why she didn't hold out for a more distinct image - but perhaps it is better to stay farther away...not sure.
Yesterday was full of tears and temporary sadness. My parents were coming up (5 hr trip) to help celebrate my birthday (which is today) and I cleaned the house all morning Just before they got here, I started bleeding red blood. I called the nurse at my Dr's office and she said go to the ER if I filled a regular liner in 1/2 hour. I didn't quite, but Mom and DH wern't taking any chances if there was something that could be done. I argued that there isn't anything anyone can do - but I was outnumbered. So...spent 3 hrs in the ER and got bloodwork and an u/s. They wouldn't let me see the U/S and spent a ton of time doing it. The final report was that the fetus is ok (Heart rate = 150) but there was some evidence of bleeding in the region of the placenta (DUH!). I am supposed to go back to the ER if I fill 3 regular size liners in one hour or if the discharge is lumpy. Well, since I am on crinone cream (progesterone suppository) it is always lumpy! I will go to see my doctor tomorrow morning.
So...to those ladies that are in early pregnancy - I guess bleeding is somewhat normal - but it is really scary. Actually, I feel like perhaps one of the ladies on this thread had an episode of bleeding early on.
Today I will take it easy and do all the grading I was supposed to do Thurs/Fri night and Sat. Then, Mom will make a birthday cake. Assuming there is no significant bleeding today, I will consider that my best birthday present.
Yes bleeding is very scary, especially red blood. My bleeding was brown and Dr. says brown is ok, but if red go to ER. I'm very happy your baby is ok and that u r 2. Hang in there.

Pretty difficult to come to terms with, but I would def do the whole process again. We will just take some time to see how much our insurance covered and what we are able to deal with, financially.
I can't tell you how much all your support means to me. It is so wonderful to have a forum like this to share and help to keep us all sane.
The 2ww was difficult. I had many symptoms that you all had, whether BFN's or BFP's. So I guess it is all 50/50.
I will keep you all in my thoughts, and keep checking on you all.
All the best, and thanks again for the support!

YES!!!! That's definately a positive test!!! When is your beta test? If you call and let them know about your hpt you may be able take your beta sooner! Even if it's only a day, it's one less day to wait

The pregnant or not pregnant digital test need at least 100 IMU/HCG , I believe the one you took only needed 25 or 50 IMU/HCG. So if you get a pregnant with the digital, the is no need to test any more cuz u are definately preggers! Good Luck

I will test again in the morning and if the results are the same I will call to see what they say. They are sticklers sometimes so they may not let me come in to test early.
I test on the 24th.

Washingtonda-I cant believe they are making you wait that long for the beta. They did my beta 8 days after transfer. I never asked what they were though.
Their theory is 18 days of ER. I know that seems pretty long. I may call my nurse tomorrow to see if they will let me test early since I got the Positive HPT but I doubt that they will.
Doesn't hurt to ask.

Firstly congratulations on your BFP! That's a great line and looked exactly like mine at 6dp 5dt! Woo hoo
MLB-
I am almost 13 weeks pregnant and started bleeding 3 days ago. It was brown blood to start, folowed by a gush of red and then stopped completely, only to return the next morning. Very concerning. I like you, went to ER and was scanned and babies were both fine and not affected. The next day I had another scan (as the bleeding had increased a little) and once again the babies were fine but they located 2 small 'clot disruptions' sitting outside the babies sacs which were causing the bleeding. They told me to expect RED / Brown blood for the next few days. It is only started to die down now and I have another scan tomorrow. Ask them to tell you exactly where the bleeding is coming from. Often it is not from the placenta but from these tiny little blood pockets that form and usually just reabsorb back into the blood stream on their own.
I also found this:
A subchorionic hematoma is a sequestration of blood within the folds of the developing placenta. It usually has no effect on the growing fetus or on the pregnancy and usually dissipates on its own within a few weeks. We always used to place women with bleeding on bedrest. However, recent studies show that bedrest has no effect on the course of anything. If your bleeding is stopping, you do not have to be on bedrest.
I did take it easy for a few days and will continue to do so for the next week. After speaking to SO many women, I have found comfort in knowing that it is a really common occurence and even my OB said that 90% of women that present with bleeding during pregnancy go on to having a completely normal pregnancy.
Try not to stress too much (hmmm) and get as many scans as you can fit in to ease your mind. I did!
Sorry to crash your thread guys!
