Question

Post by sugabeanzs »

Do anyone know if progesterone makes you kinda nauseated? It has been coming and going the past 2 days. Not horrible but not comfortable. I am thinking that could be it or maybe just some OHSS side effects still?

I keep hearing that if you had OHSS that your effects get worse if you get pregnant. That kinda scares me because mine seem to be going away for the most part. I mean I am still not comfortable in my abdomen and it hurts if I get a full bladder but hey. So maybe I did not have full blow OHSS? Just mild case or something? Also, if it takes 6-10 days after ER for the eggs to take to your uterus shouldn't some of the OHSS symptoms be gone by then anyways?

Just wondering

Suga: It's amazing how everybody is different. Our bodies are going through so much...hang in there & don't worry.

Hopin : glad you're feelin a bit better...next up, the embies..

Marin: I too started Lupron after AF, so i have no idea, sorry.

TLova : Hi! I don't take Synarel. My first ER is Fri so far, so I'm a little nervous as well. They said they pretty well knock me out, which sounds fine to me :) But everybody's been in such discomfort afterwards. I think I only have one vicadin in my pill stash, so I guess that'll have to do.

Weezie: She's sooooo slow in that video, wow. I think her needle looks a bit bigger than mine. I think the hardest part would be pulling back before you push in. Thanks for finding that.

KBear: That blessing sounded so nice! How many did you put back in? I'm 42, so trying to get some idea at our age. baby dust baby dust to you!

Waiting for Mia : Thanks for the info on flying. I've had accupuncture from different people over the years and for me, when it includes a needle in my forehead at the hairline, and one on top/back of my head it sends the most amazing feeling of relaxation over me...way better than a massage. If they don't do my head at all, it's still relaxing, but not nearly as much. My guy now says the fertility points are very similar to the relaxation points, so you get that combo. But like IVF, everyone is different in their reactions.

Tammy: Wow, 15....that's awesome...you should be very happy & positive. Way to go. And whew about the nosebleeds too. Looks like we may be ER together on Friday.

ME: I had my day 8 b/w & u/s today & everything is going really well. They had dropped my meds lower a couple days ago, so things slowed down & a couple follies shrunk but more grew.
I have 8 follies, but the best part is 7 of them are 13 or 14mm. I guess when they're all close to the same size it indicates good quality which is the most important thing for my age. So, I'm exited. My estradiol is 1126, so that's good too. They said they need 150-300 estradiol for each mature egg to do ER. So it looks like Friday 25th for me.
Back for u/s again on Wed.

Go girls!! Lots of dust and blessings to all!

Loopie Did you have another u/s today? How does your estradiol levels looking? Are you still on track for the 25th. I think that is when mine will be now. If not then Saturday. Thurs is definetly out for me now. I go back for another u/s and b/w on Wed.

Katie 15 is great! Good job! Are you going for the 5 day transfer then? Are you felling any better? So what is up with the gatorade thing? I keep reading conflicting reports. I did buy a bunch of gatorade today for after ER just in case.

Weezie I havent gotten any accupuncture yet. I just inquired today since it seems that everyone is doing it. LOL I go to the Cleveland Clinic and my doc said they have someone there who will do it before the ET if I was interested in that. It is $100....not sure for how long. I was told if I was going to do just 1 then do it right before the ET. I am glad that you are keeping the apt and keeping away from the stress of the devil.

Mia Make sure you make 2 trips carrying your laptop and books or get a student to help you. I love that people are being so psychic about what is going on with you. It has gotta give you some awesome vibes! Let us know how tomorrow goes.

Rinnie How is the cough and cold? Get well soon. I dont know about flying...check with your doc for sure. I love that my accu guy is coming to the ET too. Too cool.

21Bat How are you doing?

Jomae Let us know how your appt goes tomorrow.

Marin Has AF reared her ugly head, yet? I am dancing an AF jig for you.

Sugabeanzs How is the nausea and loss of appetite? Hope you feel better soon. Make sure you keep the kids off of you, too. I hope DH hasnt gotten better with the shots. My DH kept wanting to do the tummy shots crooked too. I hope he gets the PIO ones straight. Ugh.

Rio How are you doing??? How was ET? I am praying for you.

Hopin 11 fertilized is wonderful! Are you going for the 5 day transfer?

Sage Any signs of AF yet? I am dancing an AF jig for you too.

TLova I dont know about your meds...but I have been getting hot flashes and headaches from the Lupron. Although it seems to be getting better now that I have been on it for awhile. So I hope it gets better for you too.

Kbear I am actually worried about the full bladder thing. I have never been one to hold it for long...even had a childhood surgery for it. So it makes me extremely nervous. I love that he did a baby blessing. How sweet is that?

progesterone side effects

Post by LostGirl »

Here's a list I turned to a bunch during my two week wait while on progesterone. Before the ET, I laughed at the list, thinking it's impossibly long. How can one med cause the runs or constipation??

Anyway, once I was in the two week wait, I wept at the list. I just couldn't control my anger and grumpiness. I don't see nausea on the list but considering how long it is.

I got it from NIH so it's a good source.

LostGirl: Nooooo say it isn't so. "Cough" is listed on there, like the Menopur. I'm never going to get rid of this cough. Uggh! I don't like the thought of coughing after ET...I just have to be positive.

Tammy..looks that way :D & acupuncture too...you should do it... & my bladder is really small...so not looking forward to that either!!

Weezie - thanks for posting that video. Why did it take so long for her to do the shot? and that's a lot of medicine? is that a normal amount for everyone??
i have my first u/s since starting stims tomorrow too - i'll let you know how it goes. are you still on lupron? i have a 2 week supply and i think there's enough medicine but i am almost out of syringes. will i need another order? i'll have to ask my nurse tomrorow

I read you guys talking about accupuncture. i am having a treatment done right before and right after ET for about and hour.

My accupuncturist told me about a drink called Recharge - it's like Gatorade but without the dyes and stuff...she gave me a laste, it's like lemonade. you can get it at whole foods, or any natural store. i think i'm going to get some...you guys should try it

This is Rio's DH posting-we transferred four embies today. One was five cells, two were eight cells and one was ten cells. It was a three day transfer. She is laying on the couch enjoying a pineapple smoothie I made for her. She wanted me to update you gals and also wish you the best of luck. She should be back on the board tomorrow (trying to convince her to take it easy).

Tammy S,
I'm fine. Thanks for asking! I am no longer in my two week wait. I got my BFP on 1/11 but during the wait, I was acting out. I simply couldn't control my anger. Anyway, glad that list was helpful.

Now, I'm fine. I am trying to eat whole foods only (hard because the vending machine keeps chanting "Twix, Twix, Twix" at 4pm), and now I'm totally abstaining from coffee.

All my best wishes for BFPs all around. Riogirl, rest up! Lucky you with your pineapple smoothie and sweetie of a DH.
