About 10 oocytes (eggs) is pretty typical. More in young patient, less in an older patient, but a lot of cycles start with about 10 eggs.
The fewest I've seen result in a successful pregnancy was 1 (seen a few times).
The most was way over 50 (seen that many times).
One publication claims the ideal is 13 for one fresh cycle. That's because more is better up to a point, then the price from the high hormone levels (each follicle produces hormones that affect the endometrium) starts to outweigh the benefit of more eggs. But if you include the potential for pregnancies from frozen embryos, the optimum can be much higher still.
There is steady attrition (loss) along the way. Those 10 eggs might have 9 mature, 7 fertilize, 4 in good shape on day 3, 2 for transfer and 2 for freezing. That's pretty typical, but it varies all over the place.

None of the above. I am a researcher. I study IVF, read the literature, report to the doctors on selected topics, and write publications (always on IVF).

Only one embryo ended up making it to freeze surprisingly!
Quality: On transfer day, we put back in a 8-cell, grade A and an 8-cell, Grade B. Both were 3-days as mentioned above.
