Hi ladies,
I had previa during my pregnancy which resulted in some complications during the c-section. I keep reading that previa is 6 times more likely with IVF due to the placement of embryo in lower portion of the uterus.
I am trying to see if any one else had this. Not trying to scare anyone, just trying to understand it better since we may try IVF again for a second baby.
Hi Justine & Deepa
I agree, I am in my 8th week & already two times had spotting/bleeding for a few days. I was scared both times & felt it was a m/c coming. My doctor has advised more rest to me and asked me to take it easy. But this is my 3rd pregnancy, I did not experience spotting bleeding earlier in my pregnancies. Did your spotting/bleeding last only the first trimester, did everything else go ok for you? At-least I am happy to know that yours resulted in healthy babies in the end, I am hoping for the same!
Regards

Thanks Justine again for all the valuable info. It's very reassuring to hear that even though you also had bleeding for a few weeks but touchwood, it resulted in a healthy baby. There must be some link to IVF/ICSI and bleeding. After hearing your case, I can relax a bit. It's hard though to take things lighlty, esp. when you have tried for so many yrs & gone thru a miscarriage, even though I try not to worry so much. I have a full time job and a 9 yr old son from previous pregnancy, so things keep me busy, otherwise, I will go nuts. My OB/GYN appt is on Feb 1, even though I have had good 3 u/s, I am still anxious.... now waiting to hear the heartbeat again... just for that re-assurance that everything is fine!! You are indeed very lucky [touchwood] to be blessed with two beautiful babies (& one naturally!!!). btw, did you notice anything different between the two pregnancies. Was there any spotting/bleeding in your second (natural) pregnancy? Did they ever figure out why it happened in your first pregnancy? I also had cysts in my ovaries but my last u/s revealed that they were gone (touchwood!). My dear hubby & 9 yr old have been pampering me, getting me things, not allowing me to do much work
