Hi Girls...
I only have a couple of minutes to do some major catching up....

My mother-in-law passed away a week and a half ago... 12:10 midnight.. ten minutes after Faith's first birthday ended. She has had a long fight with cancer.. 11 years.. but went downhill very quickly in the last month. Sorry I have not been posting, as you can imagine we have been running without stop as last week we began the week with a funeral (my husband gave a beautiful eulogy, so proud of him) and ended the week with Faiths first birthday party. But I guess that is the craziness of life. The party was fabulous and all the kids had a blast.

Littles- hang tight sweety.. all positives coming your way! stay positive, stay strong.

Jens- am so excited for your cycle!!! I will chat more later and cheer you on. I will be in office all day tommorrow and should have proper time to talk about spankys and poms...

Loops- aren't you starting a little sumin' sumin' soon too? check in luv.

Walshy- are you out there?

I have missed chatting with you girls and can't wait to catch up!!!!
thinking of you all...

Steph!

Dearest Octopals,

DH who's currently suffering from bronchopneumonia has set the laptop up in our bedroom so I can finally post :-)

Firstly, I haven't been in touch because to be honest I didn't want to burden you with my fears...it's not a site to complain about pregnancy and its issues. It just didn't seem the place. Then, I thought that I would write after my 12 week scan to give you positive news. The 12 week scan went well and I got to see the twins again. Unfortunately DH was not with me. Then 48hrs later, I was in bed and felt a slight pressure below and decided that I needed to go to the loo...I was half asleep but turned the light on and sat down on the loo... when wiping I realised that there was red everywhere, the bowl, the toilet paper etc. I screamed and DH came running... we panicked briefly before I decided to call my doctor...it was 1am and I didn't think that she would answer...thank goodness she did and told me what to do. The first and closest emergency room we got to, they turned me down stating that they didn't handle IVF babies!!! We couldn't believe it. We went to the next hospital... they scanned me to see whether the twins were still there and had heartbeats. They were ok but the doctor there stated that I should stay overnight for observation as they were fearful that I was miscarrying. We were in shock....anyway, the bleeding stopped and after 36hrs I was released with orders to be as restful as possible and keep my feet up. I wasn't able to do a complete scan until 48hours later as all the clinics were closed for the weekend. I had the scan on Sunday and it showed that the twins, the placentas, and the cervix were intact. We were so relieved but we still don't know where the bleeding came from... it has been very worrying. I have been instructed to take it VERY easy and not do anything. It's more than frustrating but a small price to pay. We can't lose them, we've seen too much of them and I wouldn't survive...
So at the moment, we are anxious and careful.

Enough about me....

Lola, you must have started downregging now? I say that 2008 has to be the year for us all... we will leave no one behind. Thank you for your email and your support. I will be following your progress now that I have this installed in the bedroom  Fingers crossed for you brave one, getting back into the IVF arena.

Jen love, you're soon be reunited with you little snowbabies. The 28th being your big day. Thank you for always responding to my texts and encouraging me...you made me feel less lonely. 2007 was your last Xmas without a baby...I am praying that this FET will be THE answer and give you your best gift ever...a belated Xmas present.

Steph, sorry to hear about your m-i-law. I can't believe that Faith is 1 already...gosh, time flies. I guess we will be wishing that 2008 will turn your little Faith into a sister  Hugs to you.

Walshy, thank you for your lovely e-mail as I do know how hard this must be for you. Thank you, thank you for offering your support. Well done on the weight loss.... wish we could trade kilos. I need to pack them on and it's really hard. Sorry to hear about your tooth troubles...oouch! I'll see whether I see you online for a chat. Hugs

Much love to you all... thank you for being such good buddies and helping me through this rough patch as I know it's not easy.

Love to you all,

Littles

Hi Gang!

I just got finished sending Littles an e-mail. I was soooo happy to see that she is home and babies look great. You must have been so scared.... we all expect the worst to happen to us anyhow.. why do we need to be scared like that? we already appreciate it as a miracle, it's not like we dont' appreciate it and need a reminder..... geez! AND, I can't believe the hospital turned you away..... what a bunch of hooey!!!!

Jens- Now on to you and your impending miracle!!!!! I am so excited for your next cycle.. you don't seem to be so I will up the supply of spankys and pom-poms. although for this go around I have changed Demetrios spankys to what we will call "naughty spankys"... yu have to have the italics around it for added affect... think Austin Powers. Let's just say that the back resembles a g-string and the front has a very dirty picture drawn on them... hmmmm I wonder can you picture of what? any-who-zee- Friday... what a lovely day for a scan filled with sunshiney good news! GOOOOOO JEENNNNNNN!

Loops- would love to cheer for you to... check in. I miss you!!!!!! we need you.. just isn't the same without you... tear in my beer.

Walshy- why have you taken our sunshine away? come back too please.

Gotta Jet Off,
Steph

hello lovely ladies!

Just a quick one, so glad everyone is back again!
Steph - so sorry to hear about your mother in law, it must be so tough for your dh and you. Can't believe Faith is 1 but at the same time it seems years ago that we got your mental post announcing BFP!!!! I see you have demetrio baring all for the Jemla spanky pants dance. You are one dirty laydeeee.

Littles - glad everything has turned out bueno for you and the twins. It must have been hell - been there, done that. So now you can concentrate on worrying about names! Have you thought of any? Are you going to move back to Swizzer??? Tell us your plans

Jemla - where are you bean? what happened at scan? What is the timescle for all the activity?? Anys news from advert?

Walsheroo - hola cutey pie - whats the news??

Well, started downreg for my new cycle today and man! how I have forgotten about the headaches! There's been so much going on I've not really given it much thought, life is crazy at the moment. Anyway, my query suppressed scan is on the 31st january so if all goes to Plan Fantastico I reckon I'll be having EC mid February. Keep your fingers crossed for me girlfriends - I need a bumper crop. Because I got pregnant last time, people assume its going to happen again this time which makes me feel like the opposite will come true because its hexed. IVF paranoia already geez dude, settle down!

Anyhoo, I'm off to the cinema

Love yas

Wow this is not goo for the old ticker----everyone has come back.

Steph - How you doing babe, is dh managing?

Loops - woohoo cycling again, brilliant. Know how your feeling, just feels like i'm going through the motions to end up with  again, who knows eh :?:

Walshy - Get back here now, you need to be around to complete the pack.

Littles - Hope those feet are up and your resting. I like the sound of the spanky pants, very kinky

Scan all ok, lining 4.9 so its all on track. Going for another scan on Tuesday at 10.30am, just because i had it booked in but IM said everything is fine.

Travelling to see dh Dad on Tue then fly to Barcelona on the 26th until the 29th and ET on the 28th, which means testing on the 11th. Probably home either the 29th or might stay over for one nights at the s-in-l so i'm not travelling loads and go home on the 30th??

Checked with the hospital about our donor and shock of all shocks, she showed me the paper and the advert was in there. You can go on line to the Courier newspaper for yesterdays date, go to page 26 and our add is in the bottom left corner. They are not so impressed where the paper positioned it but if we dont get a good response then they will put it in again.

Then the adoption lady rang yesterday, she has been appointed as our worker and will visit on the 5th Feb to get the ball rolling.

So everything is moving forward, just praying that this time i get some good news then i can cancel the other things??????

Oh ye, was all geared up for my police interview on Monday and its been cancelled due to an emergency meeting that has to take place so they think i will go probably the 4th Feb.

Ok going out tonight with the girls but only soda water and lime passing my lips-----mega boring  but can laugh at everyone else making a prat of themselves.

Have a good weekend, chat tomorrow

 Hi girls

Thanks Loops, those other buds will be getting a kick up the you know where when they return for abandoning us again
Glad everything is going ok for you, dont worry about the age thing. Did you see the Hello mag this week with man from Status Quo who is 59 and wife who is 48, pregnant on first ivf with twins----makes me so mad---so age is not an issue---repeat after me--not an issue. Anyway your as young as the man you feel and dh is young and yummy so chill

Well this is it, the last day before i go to barcelona.

The only worry this time is that our embies thaw successfully as we have no more for standby and would have to think about using the donated programme but would much rather have our own----so fingers crossed. ET is on the 28th at 12.00 so all fingers crossed at 11 for the embies please---watch your colleagues at work might think your all mad if you have a minute silence and a finger crossing session

Spanky pants and dancing much appreciated to help the embies on---dont try this in the office though or the hospital Loops or they might check you in to the mental ward

Ok am off. Will be back in UK on the 29th but staying at s-in-l so we dont travel too much then home on the 30th.

Yeh girls i agree with Loops, get back we need all the support we can get :x

Aloha,

Sorry I have been missing in action for quite some time just enjoying the time away from TTC.

Jen - I hope you are relaxing ready for those to little bubbas to be put back in and you too can have twins. I am happy that your appointments outside of IVF have been positive and that you seem to moving ahead quickly. I have been stretching and am ready for the cheer squad but I'm sorry as the spanky pants are a little snug around my muffin top but I will be dancing and jiggling up a storm for you. PLease know that I am thinking of you....

Littles please pop in and let us know how your going with your little babies. Send us an ultrasound picture if you can or atleast a picture that your belly is getting big.

Speaking of pictures Steph - Faith ust be getting big and walking by now?? PLease sned us some more pictures of little Faith to keep us hoping that it will happen to us.

Lola how is it going for you. When are you going to put some photos on facebook so that I can see what you look like again. DO we have any follicles ready for harvest yet? How are the stims going? I am not looking forward to that again  have you shaved and picked out your best socks for the occasion?

I have booked in an appointment with the FS on the 10 March to start our next cycle. Considering my last cycle didn't produce any eggs I am very hesitant that this one will but you have to be in it to win it. We celebrate our 7 wedding anniversary a week before which is has its good and bad points - great that we are still together and as happy as always but sad that we are still childless. i start back at the gym tomorrow and will hopefully lose some weight before i go back. I have succesfully managed to put all the weight on that I lost perviously nothing like a yo-yo dieter :? Oh well atleast I am consistent with somethings. I am going back to my acupuncturist on the 9 February to hopefully help me with my cycle and also and upcoming pregnancy :) :)

OK ladies will pop in again to see how Jen and Lola are doing. Feel free to email me if you have exciting news and I'm not back... know that I am thinking of you all.. take care Walshy
