Good morning to all my wonderful ladies. Just wanted to drop in and wish everyone well.

Just one more sleep for me!!!!!

I took my last home pregnancy test this morning before coming to work and it's still as positive as before with a bright line. No having to really look here. It's there as clear as day. :D Seems that the dark brown stuff that I had when I wiped is now gone so I am glad of that. I prayed to get it but once I did I wanted it to go away. I was so scared that something else was happening. I was totally exhausted by 1:00 yesterday and when I got home I was knocked out. Fiance had to get me up for dinner (he's still waiting on me hand and foot (hehehe)).

Esperanza my dear girl - just two more sleeps for you. Just wanted to let you know that I kept the promise that I made to you yesterday. I prayed really hard for the both of us.

To all of my other ladies who are stimming, testing, ER/ET and my pregger mama's. Please have a wonderful day and keep taking good care of yourself.

BABY DUST!!! BABY DUST!!! BABY DUST!!!
Me, 40 - DH, 47
IVF #1: POSITIVE - Michaela born 9/19/08
IVF #2: Consult on 10/13/09 - Start BCP Dec since clinic will be closed for the Holiday.

I just got through the 8 pages I missed since Saturday.

Neffi211: Wishing you so much luck tomorrow!

Washingtonda: Congrats on your BFP! Can't wait to hear the official report tomorrow.

Colesmom: Congrats on 24 eggs!!!

TammyS: Keeping my fingers crossed that you trigger tonight.

Schel67: That was a great pic of your embryo. You have to love those physical pieces of evidence that this whole process really does work.

I apologize for not reporting sooner. I received the call on Sunday that 2 out of the 3 eggs were mature and fertilized. On Monday they called to say that the 2 embies were still cleaving and they scheduled my ET for 9:15 Tuesday morning. I was so excited that both embies had made it this far and keeping my fingers crossed that they continued to divide. I got to the clinic yesterday morning and when they took me back to do the transfer and the Dr. came in she started explaining how many follicles I had, how many eggs were retrieved, how many transferred, etc. etc. and she said that all 3 had fertilized. I said "wait a second, they told me that only 2 eggs were mature and fertilized." She said "you didn't get our call this morning?" Apparently they called and left a message at my house about 20 minutes after we left saying that apparently the 3rd egg did mature and they fertilized it the next day. They told me that the 2 eggs they were transferring were both Grade 1 (one 7-cell embie and one 6-cell embie) and that the 3rd egg was doing well as well and asked me about freezing it. I felt like someone had hit me upside the head with a frying pan!

Before I had been diagnosed as a low responder I had made up my mind that I would freeze 2 or more embryos for a second cycle if needed. With the chance of an embryo not making it through the freezing or the subsequent thawing I thought 2 would be a reasonable # to go with (meaning that if only 1 could be frozen we would not freeze it and start with a fresh cycle the next go around). So DH and I decided that with transferring 2 embies we would go ahead and start fresh with a new cycle if this one didn't work. I keep thinking about the 3rd embie and feel horrible that I would not freeze it but then I keep trying to be realistic and if both transferred embies take we are going be trying to figure out how to pay for 3 at daycare. (The cost of freezing one embie is $750.)

I am over the moon that both embies were doing well as of yesterday when they were transferred but have now started worrying about all of the cramping I have been having. I'm afraid that my uterus will expel them.

andnichole, That is great news. I am so Happy for you and dh. The 2 that were transfered are Good Embies, So relax. The cramping is normal. I would not worry much. I understand how you feel about only freezing one embie. It is another expense. I think I would have made the same choice. Your on your way to a bfp :D Then you don`t have to worry anymore. God Bless!

Ok Nikki! tough love coming your way...

Girl! you are a miracle story, so, what are you talking about? PMA and PUPO. Ya hear me my friend?

The cramping is SO normal, pregnant women have them all the time. You uterus has just been "disturbed" and I bet your ovaries are still enlarged. Cramping at this stage = normal!

Keep a positive attitude, your precious embies need it. Hey! I had a melt down on Sunday, but I'm back to claiming my PMA.

Flowers always make me happy, so here's a bunch for you to cheer you up:

Thanks colesmom and esperanza. Isn't it funny how we always find something to worry about. LOL I can't wait to hear about your BFP esperanza!

It is amazing how when you think you are completely down and out and nothing is looking good with your numbers during an IVF cycle and things still work out.

I am so excited about these 2 little miracles inside of me and am hopeful that they decide to stay put. Last night my 3 year old daughter kept talking about playing with "them." DH and I asked who she was talking about and she said "my little brother and little sister that are in mommy's tummy." My husband and I asked her who told her that she would have a little brother AND a little sister but of course at her age she didn't really understand the question. We thought it was quite interesting and thought she may have some insider information! :D We haven't told anyone about doing the IVF so we know no one else suggested to her about the chance of having twins.

Guess what??? I trigger tonight at 9 pm! Yayy! ER is Friday at 9 am. However, was told to be there at 7:30 am. I am guessing that it will probably be a 3 day transfer, on Monday. I am hoping for a 5 day, but after my visit today....I am doubting it. They had a problem getting to my right ovary. They had to push down on it so it would show the follicles. They only counted 12 today....even though we know there is 14. So, if my ovary gets shy again on ER day they may not get as many as we hoped for. But, I am not going to worry about it. My estradiol level was 3273 and she said that is good.

Question: She said she would explain on Friday morning when to start the PIO, patches, antibiotics, steriods, and tylenol 3. Shouldnt I be starting the tylenol 3 and antibiotics right before the ER? Okay, so I am getting nervous and excited now.

Nikki,
I see the cramping as a good sign! Those little embie they put in there are buring themselve into the lining and making a home to attach themselves. No worries!!! You must have a pma!!! Welcome to your 2ww. Our thoughts and prays r with you. :D 8)

Schel- I called my obgyn today and have my first appt and u/s with her on tuesday. Hopefully I will hear the heartbeat then, I will be about 9 weeks then

Washingtonda- Sounds good for you...congrats again!

Tammy- Good luck with your upcoming ER. I only had 11 follies, only 8 eggs from it, I had a 3 day transfer and I am 8 weeks pregnant! So keep up the pma!

Andnichole- I told someone else, choosing whether or not to freeze my 2 extras was the hardest part of this whole process. I also felt horrible about the embies. In the end, we had to make a good financial decision. They wanted $2000 up front on that day in order to freeze, and our thoughts were how we could use that money towards preparing for the baby which we were hoping was on the way. We knew we could try a fresh cycle again if we had to. Good luck with everything, you are in our prayers.

Esperanza- How are you crazy mama? hehe. I am just playin' with you, hopefully your 2ww craziness has subsided a little. You test soon, right? Almost there...just hang in there.

Neffi- good luck with et, rest up and let us know soon.

Hang in there everyone! Keep stimming, good luck with er/et's and lots of sticky baby dust to the 2wwaiters!

hey ladies--

I didnt get the greatest news today..only 4 of my embies are at the stage they want them to be, which is 10 cells or blasts. I dont understnad why this happened...I though most of them would do well. They are still all dividing, but some are only 6-8 cells on day 4??? How do they decided which are good enough to freeze?? I am happy that I have 4, but since I did the shared risk...if I get pregnant the first time and dont have many to freeze, finanically, it will suck for us. I know I need to stay postive, I just thought that the embies would do great since I am young and our problem is male factor.

CT Michele-- how many "goood" embies did you have??

Andnichole-- I am soooo happy for you! Congrats

Esperanza and washingtonda----Your time is coming :D :D :D

Well I have my transfer at 8 am tomorrow...sorry for sounding unappreciative, I just always think of the future....I am very excited that my embies are going to be put in tomorrow
