Jenn-- So glad you liked your virtual baby gifts. Only the best for the newest little sisterhood member!

Tina: good luck on appt tomorrow... will be looking forward to your report.

Robbo: good to hear from you!!!!

Mego: So now that I found the diamond pacifier, I am sending one along for Lucy. I'm thinking every new Sista needs one

Angie: good luck on the whole Arranging-Maternity-Leave thing. Sounds tricky.

Amy: huh? huh? Any POAS results??? As for the 2pn (aka "ferts") thing... 2pn is the 2 pronuclei stage of development-- essentially normal fertilization. So our embryos were frozen just after fertilization.

I had the mother-of-all-migraines last night. Woke me up at 1am. Ouch (to say the least)! Still feeling the "after headache" this morning.

Some of you may remember a "friend" of mine I b*tched about several months ago... the demanding one who thought she "understood" what I was going through b/c it took her a year to get preg with the first of her two children. ANYWAY... she has a part-time interior decorating business out of her home. She has an assistant that helps her with the business. She also has a full-time nanny/housekeeper Mon-Fri. I talked with her last week (our dh's do business together and we were really good friends at one point, so periodically we have dinner together to keep the ties) and she just hired a "evening nanny" so that she has help until at least 7pm. Anyway, we decided to go to dinner tomorrow night (her "evening nanny" will stay later). So I get a phone call from her ASSISTANT yesterday wanting to confirm our "dinner appointment", and to make arrangements with me where and when we would eat. Her assistant. Who does she think she is... Oprah? In fact I doubt even Oprah has her "assistant" call her friends to "confirm". Sounds like someone has gotten a bit too big for her britches...

Sassy- Wow her assistant called to confirm?!!! I like to think that even if I had the money to do all that, I still wouldn't. But I'm the kind of person who just does everything for myself because nobody would do it the way I would. I tried a cleaning lady once and had to go behind her the next day and clean it my way! I'm a neat freak.

Hello! Our 10 week appt went great!!! The baby looked so cute and the heart rate was up to 198!! My husband laughed and said that made sense because I am so Type A, always freaking out about something....it makes sense that our baby would already have a very fast heart rate. :D Anyway, they said everything looked great and I go back on Feb 6th for my final appt with the clinic before going back to my regular OB doc. I am thrilled!!!

Ok ladies, I have to run. I have to make a trip up to Houston early tomorrow for work and need to get my act together before then. Take care!!!

Well ladies... I did a POAS test. The faintest line appeared... Could it possibly be?? I will definitely take another test in the morning to ensure, but for now I am not crying.

Sassy - As for the assistant - that is whack. I would get one of your friends to call back and say it is your assistant and that you would like to confirm with her, but that you are still waiting to hear back from your DHs assistant to see if he can make it.

My house is grossing me out. Jenn, send me your cleaning lady. At this juncture any standards will do.

TinaO - Nice work on the appointment. Drive safely tomorrow.

Robbo - How is school going?

Angie - Is your house ready for me to come and spend the rest of this wet winter with you? I am done with the rain!

Fee - I could help with Nogs... I promise I won't get in the way. I could be your assistant... and call people to let them know you might be coming. It would be hot.

Amy! OMG...I teared up when I read about the line. Fingers crossed...My house is gross, too. I hate cleaning. You'd think since I stay at home now that my house would be cleaner, but no dice. If anything it's worse because I'm here more to mess it up.

Tina--Glad the visit went well. Can't believe you're 10 weeks already.

Sassy--Thanks for the diamond pacifier. That will make things so much easier because it will go with every outfit Lucy has! I spend so much time changing out her binky each morning to match her outfit that now I can actually clean my house! Woo-hoo! And good job on the inches off. It's so hard, isn't it? I'm slowly losing the baby weight---I have 18 lbs left to lose of the 60 I gained.

Well, my baby is chattering away so I'd best go rescue DH (my baby can "talk" louder than any baby I have ever known--it is never, ever quiet here anymore--maybe she's complaining about the mess????)

Excellent news Amy - exciting times ahead on the thread me thinks. Look forward to the update. You can come and stay - still nice and warm and sunny here. But you'll have to go by July as you 'll be staying in the baby's room. (And you'll also have to pay for your keep and do some painting for us, like all our visitors do!)

Jenn
- the cleaner story made me laugh. As DH has a never ending list of jobs to do on the house, I have managed to negotiate that we have a cleaner for the first time ever. Need them to help me out as I should be in my princess phase but instead seem to have more than ever to do round the house. Anyway they came for the first time and did an OK job but I have an obsession about using the right cleaning cloths. What happens if they clean the toilet and then after clean the vanity, near my toothbrush? Yuck! Any suggestions ladies?

Hello other ladies - glad all is going well.

Saw OB - Dr J - he is still nice - very chatty not like Dr D at all. But he needs to sort out his batteries on his little machine - it took forever to find wombat's heartbeat - I was starting to stress. He said it was coz the batteries were flat and were picking up interference. So all i could hear was the faintest little boom boom whereas last time it was really clear. Anyway he was happy enough.

My latest preggo problem is a very painful right buttock - apparently hormones, ligaments stretching etc etc. yesterday could hardly walk and I may have to see a physio.

Ok no more complaining from me.

Helloo Ladies

I must be the slackest sister around. Sorry for not writing but Fee has gone a bit OCD. Yep I have developed some sort of phobia about germs touching Nogs. How bad is this??? well, let me just say that If i see flies on my washing, I take it all in and wash it again. I'm sure you all understand that in an Australian summer the probability of flies landing on my washing is about 99%, hence I have been doing a lot of washing.

Amy, please do come and help. Although I'm on home duties at the moment with seeminly plenty of time on my hands I think it would be a marvellous slap in the face for my friends if I needed an assistant to run my communications with them, damned hot. Plus you can help keep the flies away from my washing. Congrats on your faint line, between loads of laundry I will be anxiously checking for your 2nd POAS result...

Sass, I think your assistant should have dinner with your friends assistant and leave it at that. Hating your friend on your behalf right now. How are you feeling about your imminent thaw? Nervous?? Congrats on losing mass, I have plateaued big time, need more motivation...PS what camera did you get, me and DH are shoping for a digital SLR this weekend, he wants a Canon something or other (can't remember model)

Angie, listen and listen carefully, hide your toothbrush, it is the only way that you can confidently know that it has not been "tampered" I'm sure you've heard those urban myths regarding toothbrush abuse. We would'nt want your cleaners getting spiteful and doing something gross now. Congrats on Wombats progression, you are doing good.

TinaO congrats on your advancing pregnancy, don't worry about weight gain, it is a losing battle you may as well enjoy it. You got me I am trying to be Tom/Katie about Rio. Photos will be posted when the price is right. My dog has almost recovered! Cán't belive it thought he was a gonner for sure. YOu sound like me, I have rescued a a lot of stray dogs but luckily managed to find their owners. Poor old DH, once we were driving around (with our dog in the car) when I saw a stray. I made DH and our dog get out and walk so I could rescue the stray. My dog was pretty angry and jealous for quite some time after that.

Mego, sorry about DH hope he is on the mend and you have not been beggered by the medical bills. Glad to hear Lucy is thriving. I am getting more sleep now, usually broken by one waking but in total about 6 to seven hours, I feel like a million bucks compared to a few weeks ago. Took Nogs to the community health nurse and was told that he is favouring lying on one side and that one side of his head is flatter than the other. I have some exercises to do with him and I may go to a physiotherapist to make sure I am doing them right, will the worry ever end??? Geez I feel guilty about the flat head...PS the community health nurse gave me a questionaire to test me for post natal depression. I had to lie on a few answers otherwise I may have been carted off to a locked ward (lets just say that I did NOT mention my issues with flies on my laundry)

Jenn not long now. I fully understand getting more anxious towards the big day, but really, you will be fine and it is not worth worrying about. I second Mego's advice re the epidural. They are fabulous, I wish I could have one now...

Vicky, how are you going??? Any word on sex of baby yet???

Mel, are you back from Houston??

Nickster, glad to hear from you again but sorry to hear about your melt downs. It's bloody hard. Glad to hear that you are having another go at the old IVF. Please keep us posted!

Robo great to read you, don't worry about not having anything to write. If all else fails just tell us what your b!tch of a neighbour is doing, she is always quite breathtaking...

MP how are you going????

Well hope I haven't forgotten anyone. I'd better get off and do something useful.

Fee

Now spotting. Hope = 0. I did (as usual) call the clinic and whine so that I could just take my blood test today and be done with it. I am so sorry I am ruining the perfect record we had going.

Well I just got the call. It is another BFN for me. I am so sorry that I am such a downer and ruined the luck we had going. Sassy - You have to bring it back. I am going to slither away and cry for a few days.
