Rio- glad to read you are doing so well. DH sounds like a keeper! I'm sending sticky vibes your way I'm going to have to see what size needle was sent my way with the PIO. I may have to inquire about a smaller one.

Mia- I don't know why my doc doesn't do a 3-day u/s and only does b/w. Try not to worry about your results. It's kind of like what my nurse told me. E2 is based on the size and amt of follies. And that number can jump from day to day. Glad that they increased your meds. I'm sure you will do just fine. Maybe your follies are just slow starters. But, that could mean they will be strong finishers! I can't help you on the gonal situation. But my nurse did say there might be a time when I would have to draw from the pens to get a full dose, so it sounds like you did the right thing.

Marinn-yippee. You'll be stimming before you know it!

Rinnie- enough with the coughing already Have you tried gargling with warm salt water? My nurse suggested that to me because I had a tickle in my throat and I was scared would develop into something more. Let's get rid of this before Friday!

Tammy- the heck with 14 or 15, let's shoot for 20! Good luck today at the u/s.

I have another b/w with an u/s tomorrow. Since DH obviously has to be here for ER and will stay for the duration of the day, I think I will be okay. We have decided to play it by ear. If I'm not doing well, he will stay longer. I do however think I will plan on doing ET alone. Unless of course it falls on a weekend. That would be great! DH really wanted to go in the proceedure room for that one. Well, I think I'm going to try and get some more rest. It's 5AM and I've been up since 3. I'm not having a problem with drinking the water, I can't stop going to the bathroom!
You ladies have been a great source of support and I'm sending you all cyber cookies....mmmm....can you smell them? it's your favorite kind. Have as many as you want. They're fat free. LOL! Seriously, thanks for the support. {{{hugs}}}

Weezie: Thanks for the cyber cookies. They were sooo yummy. That would be great if ET falls on a Sat morning. I will hope and pray for it. Ok you said it...I will aim for 20 today. LOL

Rio: I read somewhere about using a 27 gage which is even smaller....but again the meds are thick and take longer to administer. So I am sure your size needle is fine...unless you ask your nurse and she gives you the smaller one. That would be cool too. I am gonna have to check my needles now. My nurses handed me my syringes. Did you guys get them at the docs or the order them? Rio figure 6-12 days more often 8-10 days after retrieval, for implantation. I have to admit ...I bought a few POAS. I am taking one after I mix and administer the HCG shot to make sure I got it right. Besides then I will know that those things even work for me at all. LOL I have a friend that everytime she was pregnant...a poas dont work ...only a blood test would work.

Mia: I dont know why extra water while stimming. I just heard throughout the IVF process. So I googled it after you asked and found a few articles that say it helps with the prevention of OHSS, to stay hydrated, and its good for follicle cells. I personally thought it was a good way to sorta flush my system...since they say it is so healthy to drink water daily anyways. I have no clue about the gonal. However, it sounds right.

Cornybaby: Great websites. Thanks. I am hoping for the 5 day blast. It is very risky when you dont have enough embryos to gamble with...but if I get 10 that fertilize ...I will really push for it. My clinic does both depending on how they look on day 3 and how many embryos there are to gamble with.

Rinnie: I think my clinic does assisted hatching at day 3 and 5. They will go 5 days if they have alot of embryos and they are striving well on day 3. I know they said they would do AH on me if needed....and they dont expect me to get to 5 day blast due to my age. I am gonna prove them wrong. LOL I cant wait to hear your u/s and b/w report today.

I am off to go get ready for my u/s. I am aiming for 20 today. LOL

Rio - I had two embryos which my DH named "Emby 1" and "Emby 2" transferred @ 3 days. I only had two fertilize out of the six eggs, and luckily they kept dividing.

What my RE told me was that if you have more embryos, they will go to day 5, so they can pick the strongest. My original plan was 3 @ 3 days or 2 @ 5 days. Since I only had two, she said we know how many we are transferring and she told me they do better in me than the dish.

You know what is funny about the PIO shots, is that it doesn't really hurt going in, it is like my muscle knots up the next day. That is when it hurts. I have been rubbing the spots to try to loosen the knot. I just have to be careful that people aren't watching me rub my behind.

Suga - How is your nausea?

How many plan to do HPT before beta test? I am going to try not to, but I already think this 2ww is pretty hard, so I'm not sure I will make it the whole way. I thought it would be better at work, keeping busy, but I still think about it way too much.

Oh well, I knew it would be torture going in.

Guess what??? I trigger tonight at 9 pm! Yayy! ER is Friday at 9 am. However, was told to be there at 7:30 am. I am guessing that it will probably be a 3 day transfer, on Monday. I am hoping for a 5 day, but after my visit today....I am doubting it. They had a problem getting to my right ovary. They had to push down on it so it would show the follicles. They only counted 12 today....even though we know there is 14. So, if my ovary gets shy again on ER day they may not get as many as we hoped for. But, I am not going to worry about it. My estradiol level was 3273 and she said that is good.

Question: She said she would explain on Friday morning when to start the PIO, patches, antibiotics, steriods, and tylenol 3. Shouldnt I be starting the tylenol 3 and antibiotics right before the ER? Okay, so I am getting nervous and excited now.

WOOOHOOO!!!! GO TAMMY! GO TAMMY! I've been waiting for your update. Soooo, you didn't get the 20 we were hoping for. Your E2 sounds like the follies you have a super healthy! Don't get nervous just yet. Your upbeat spirit has served as an inspiration to me. I never heard of taking T3 before ER. Maybe before ET. But hey, whatever works . My doc sent me a valium in my pharmacy to take the day of ET. Now we just need to focus on a 5-day. Congratulations!!

Mia sounds like you did the right thing atleast you got the dose in i would have been running around like mad what to do what to do as for the water i guess just so your more healthy and your follie develop probperly o don't really know i do know its for keeping the wicked ohss abay so drink up drink up I filled a two litre bottle and named it and even drank out of the bottle so no one else will touch it that way i can keep a track of exactly what i drink

Tammy - Congrats on ER Friday. I was told to take my first antibiotic the night before ER. I did not do Tylenol 3, but baby aspirin, which I was on, stopped when I triggered, and started again the evening of my ER.

I hope they find all 14, and you have a great fertilization report.

Mia - I think you did the right thing, that's what the nurse said to do with follistim
weezie - I hope your DH can be there for ET, my DH loved seeing the embryos get shot in (we got a pic!), I am so glad he will be there for ER!

Did you girls get pics of your embies? We got a pic of our 4, and my mom swre she could see a little happy face on them!

Hi all---good luck to everyone doing ER this week/Weekend. Well im still bloated but ive gone down a few pounds so thats good. Its not as bad. I have ET tomorrow morning so ill be on total bed rest until unday. My doc says say of ET and two following days then I get up and move a little on sunday and then back to clinic on monday for BW. Im really excited. OH OH I started PIO on monday. Was nervous with all the talks. I didn't feel a thing. Now tuesday a different story it burned like you know what. Poor DH didn't expect it since i didn't flench on Monday. Well im feeling good infact we are going to grab dinner and Pineapple tonight. I want to get out before Im stuck in bed. Have a Great weekend and I will be thinking about everybody.
