Hi everybody!
Am I the oldest one here?
This is my first IVF & I'm well underway, so I'm going to go over to the Jan board.
I want to say thank you to everyone participating on the board. I've been reading and reading and have learned so much. This whole process is amazing and I can't believe how many women are going through it. I went to get an ultrasound today and the office was packed...the nurse said the numbers had really jumped.
At 42 this will be a journey...and then some

Hi rinnie!
Don't know if you are the oldest IVFer on the list -lots are over 40( there's even a thread!)- and I'm pretty close (39 and some change)
I'm excited that you'll be joining us on the Jan/Feb cycle buddies list - seems like you'll be on the same timeline as Tammy and I we're probably doing ER 23-26 jan as well
It's my 1st time with IVF or any assisted repro stuff - I am very optimistic for me and the buddies -
cheers and come on over!!

Thanks Loopie!
I just had a friend become pregnant naturally at 45 after all the doctors told her she couldn't have children. So anything is possible ladies!

I would also recommend the over 40 IVFer's. Will be doing my last IVF at age 41. (I should get my AF on 2/10 and will turn 41 on 2/12) Was hoping to start next and final cycle in Feb, but will probably have to wait until March or after. DH will probably switch jobs and w/ that our insurance will probably change--right now out of Mass. where it's covered 100%, but if it changes it'll probably be out of RI and will have to pay for 20%. But since it would be our last one I guess that's not too bad overall (did 5 at pretty much $100 + cost of meds which wasn't too bad overall).
My grandmother had her last child at almost 46 (my uncle was born in Jan and she turned 46 in May--that was 60 years ago!). So, it's possible to still conceive in early to mid 40's.
