Over 40 success rate

Post by tamsinbowers »

Hi it really depends also on why you are having treatment, if there are no underlying problems then this should help to boost the statistics when it comes to getting egg production. An overall clinic rate of 35% seems very low?, obviously it is lower for ladies over the age of 38, but each case should be given a %based on their own circumstances. I know that somebody I sent abroad at the age of 43 had predicted success rate of 25 - 35% (with no underlying complications). I Hope that this helps?

If I can be of any further help please contact me
Best Wishes

I don't know what the doctor meant by "IVF wouldn't increase their chances much more than ttc naturally..." because 35% is pretty good. And both of my SILs have acheived families thru IVF. One SIL was 35, tried IVF once, FET 2 embryos and ended up with twins. The other SIL was 41, just like yours, and tried IVF twice. Both times FET 5 embies! The second time, 2 embryos latched on and 1 became an identical twin. So she ended up with triplets. So hopefully your SIL has luck as well! Keep us posted. :)
