Hi. I have my first ultrasound on Monday at 6 weeks 3 days. I'm wondering if I'll be able to hear/see the heartbeat at that point. Anyone know??
And I'm also wondering whether or not, there are ladies out there who have betas that look like you're carrying a singleton but in fact, you ended up with twins.
Here are my betas so far, after a transfer of 3 embies, 2 8cell, one 6cell
You have nice strong betas! Whether or not they indicate multiples - you can never tell...
You should be able to see the HB at 6w+ but you still cannot hear it on doppler. I saw my twins' HBs at 5w6d and they're still going strong...
Love and prayers for a healthy HB (or two ) at your U/S

B/G TWINS!!! Due 4/30/08 Born Friday April 4th, 2008 at 36w 2d Baby girl A 6 lbs 7 oz Baby boy B 6 lbs 3 oz
Lost girl your numbers look awesome!!! I am so happy for you- My first Beta was only like 180 but.....it went really high!!! 2nd was like 2 days later and it was like 800 something...however I have one!!
We got a heartbeat just under 7weeks....so you have a good chance- if you dont dont worry I have heard girls that it took longer with
My ultrasound went well. My husband and I saw a heartbeat, one single lovely heartbeat. He was gunning for two, but well, I'm happy as a clam. They didn't say how fast the heartbeat was. The baby is at 6 weeks and 1 day and yesterday was actually 6 weeks and 3 days I'm trying not to worry about the discrepancy.
I have another u/s in two weeks. I'm starting to calm down and realize that this baby might be here to stay. I am desperate for him/her to stick around. I eat protein, iron, and calcium in spades to fuel the baby's development. And so far I'm not even missing coffee... I do get crabby though. Yikes.
They didn't do a beta. I kinda of wanted one! Is that sick or what?
Me: 37 DH:40 TTC since 2005. First IVF cycle canceled. 2nd cycle BFP 1/11. DS arrived late 2008. 3rd cycle, U/s 3/7. Devastated. NO fetal pole or HB.
Lost Girl-
Yay! I've been reading your posts, and was sooo happy to read just now that you saw the HB. The u/s machines here don't give a HB reading either, but they can tell by looking at it if it's over 100 or not (that's what my OB told me). They check for sure, not to worry. So congratulations, and no, it is definitely not crazy to want another beta. Just breathe, relax, and relish in the good outcome of today's scan. Remember that that is the best indication of viability. Feel good!
