I find out today if one one egg got fertilized last night.. I went through a whole slew of emotions last night and felt really sick after the ER so I was bad and took the Estrodial orally, the Progesterone Vag and refused to take the Progesterone via needle. I found it heartwrenching to think that I would put myself through it to only not hear what I wanted today.. I just think that they should give you a one day break until you hear if you are moving forward. I prayed as usual but realize it is in God's hands now. Will let you all know.. Thank you for all the support. I was telling DH that complete strangers have the capacity to send love still in the world and that gives me such hope..

Gabi Welcome. I think most of us on this thread are in the US, so might not be any info here. Try posting a topic in the IVF forum. I pay out of pocket for my IVF; it is tough, but doable! Good Luck!

Rio: Just a few more days and you will know!! How are you keeping yourself busy?? I plan on buying some pc games I can work on to keep my mind occupied. And then maybe I will buy some sweets that I allow myself to eat when tempted to POAS - get creative!

21bat: I really don't know any of the stats, but it looks like some of the girls gave you info. My clinic said I have to take PIO in the morning, so make sure you check with the clinic!

Marin: I stimmed for 9 days this cycle. BTW I feel you with Dh's complaints. Dh was all oh my stomach hurts, I almost threw up, and I was like I don't even want to hear about it. Tell your dh to make sure he eats before, Doxyc is pretty hard on tummys. Since dh doesn't eat bfast, he just takes em at lunch and dinner, but he has skipped several days, b/c he forgets

Rio: thanks for the OHSS reminder. Glad the PIO are a breeze for you. I bought my heating pad yesterday

ER IS TOMORROW!!! 10:30am CST. My trigger was a sub Q shot! So happy about that. Oh and did I tell you girls what happend yesterday?/ I forget if I did - but I went home from RE and dh said double check to make sur eyou have your trigger shot and everything in order. SO I go to check my box - and there is no trigger shot!! I called the pharmacy and they said that the RE never ordered it!! Can you believe it, so it is SUnday afternoon, after the clinic is closed. i call the RE thinking they have a number to call if emergency, but no. So I leave a voicemail. Thankfully RE calls me within seconds and says he can meet me at the clinic where he can give me the meds!! YIKES!! That was close. What if I waited until midnight???

ANy way that crisis, praise God, was averted. So now I am just waiting for ER tomorrow. Hope everyone has a stressless day

Hi Mia,
I told them to do ICSI if necessary so we will see.. I guess I am just so new to this and don't understand how they saw 5 follies, 4 grew to 17, 27, 18 and 19 two days before retrieval and then they get one? What happened to the others? Does anyone know? did they over mature or did the follies just have no eggs in them? Any help getting my head around this will help.. Good luck on your ER. I didn't have much pain but the drugs made me feel loopy as all hell.. The heating pad worked when I got home and tons of water to flush out my system. I didn't feel bad using the heating pad as I know it can be bad when you are stimming. The heat can be too much for the follies.

Amy: Well from what I read 50% of the follies usually have mature eggs. So you had four and ended up with one. I din;t think that is too uncommon. WHy did you only end up with 4 though? How old are you? You prob have it on your signature line. How long did you stim? Ask your RE - you pay 'em enough to answer you! Make sure you get some answers the next tim e you talk with them. Ask Why they think you had only four, why only one egg. WHat they would do differently next time to get you to respond better,,, etc... Still hoping that one makes it!

I am 37 but went through Chemo a several years back for cancer. I was so young at the time that they went that route instead of taking out my female organs so I am sure that has something to do with it. I sent my dr an email today and she is great at getting back to me.. I will let you guys know.. Hope to hear early today how my little one is doing.. It only takes one is my mantra now..

Since we are swapping DH stories.... My DH is complaining about the Doxy too. And then he proceeds to complain about his back or kidney. At least 10x a day. And I preach to him to drink more water (he drinks none) and get some cranberry juice in him. But he'd rather complain. Thank gawd he went out to get a hair cut and run errands today. He did tell me that I'm a bigger person than he would ever be- doing all the shots and stuff. I'm like gee thanks, but can you please suck up your pain and stop being a wimp!!! He agreed.

Well trigger was sooo easy last night. I didn't feel a thing. I've decided to even have the nurse come over each night and do the PIO for me. There's no way I could do it myself. The needle is too big. I did wake up this morning feeling bigger than ever. After I crawled out of bed and went to get my b/w done, the nurse told me that the HCG contains growth hormones and I will feel bigger and bigger until ER. 9:15 tomorrow morning can't come soon enough! Well, I think I'm going to go back to bed. I've packed one more box and I believe that will be my quota for the day.

Hello Everyone. We had a great time in Atlantic City. Didn't win anything, but weren't expecting to. We did have to get up from a table when three people all whipped out and lit up cigarettes at once. I quit 8 years ago, my DH never smoked and I was not taking any chances with the precious cargo that are hopefully snuggled up tight down there.

We made it through one week, just one more to go. My nausea has decreased. I don't know if this is a good or bad thing. Since it was probably meds causing it, at least I feel a bit better. I am still having a little bit of cramping.

My DH really wants me to wait for beta next Monday, so I probably will, but all the comments about testing the day before to be partially prepared sounds good. I just don't know. Maybe I can convince him by the weekend for a Sunday Superbowl halftime POAS.

SUGA - Congrats on the BFP, I am saying lots of prayers that the beta confirms. I am sorry about your fold, I hope you get relief soon. It definately is harder when you can't take anything.

RIO - I can't really tell you to stick it out with conviction, since I am wavering as well. I am sorry that you have to worry about having others there when you get results. I will get our results Mon afternoon, so I am taking a half day. We want to be together when we hear. I am saying lots of prayers that you get a BFP and all is well. I have not tried the heating pad thing yet, but I will now. I am tired of a sore rump.

AMY - My RE keeps telling me it "only takes one". She even has a bumper sticker on her car saying as much. My prayers are with you.

LOOPIE - 16 eggs is awesome. Here is hoping to a great fertilization report.

21BAT - Have a great ER, go follies go! As far as meds, if I have any leftover and unopened, I will donate them to the clinic. I know that I had to use one donated dose when my pharmacy was being stubborn, so I hope to pay it forward.

RIN - Congrats on the 6 mature eggs. I had 8 follies, got 6 eggs, but only four mature, so RIO is right on with what her RE said. My RE said usually 50% fertilize. I used my heating pad up until ET, then stopped. Pain got better soon after ET.

MIA - Good luck on your Trigger, it will be a breeze. I am sending prayers your way for a great ER.

TAMMY - ET is very special, have a great one. We are saying prayers for sticky embies.

WEEZY - Good luck on your Trigger, I agree with RIO, the 36 hours that are injection free are wonderful.

MARIN - I was on stims for 11 days, they say everyone is different, it is all up to your response to the meds.

Well, I should get back to work. Who can think about work? I do appreciate you all and I am saying prayers for everyone. What a great group of people we have here.

Amy27 - I am really sorry you are feeling down and I completely understand the huge stress you are going through. Mia is right ask away because there are different protocols. My husband had chemo and had his sperm count lowered because of it so maybe it is related, can you ask your oncologist? I think some follies don't have eggs or the eggs aren't mature, that's what my RE said Please let us know how it goes, I am praying that it is your miracle baby!
Mia - I find it hard not to go insane!! One minute up, one minute down, never thought I would be so tempted to POAS but I am... I have been working on my computer at home a lot, organizing pics, but at work... I obssess!!!! So this board keeps me sane! Thanks Mia! I can't wait until we overlap our PUPO!!!! Go Mia - go Mia!!! So glad the trigger went ok, crossing my fingers for ER - and can't wait for a report!

hello everyone, i am new to the group. I have been following the thread for a few weeks and am very grateful for all of your posts. I had my ET on 1/26 and currently in my 2ww. I have just been pretty much holding my breath since day 1. In 2002, I had tubal reversal only to wake to the doctor saying that it was unsucessful. I know what it's like to get your hopes up and have the carpet pulled out from under you. Now that I have passed all the hurdles except that last test, I feel comfortable talking about my cycle.

I did not take Lupron only BCP's to downregulate and then 3 days after my last bcp, I started Menopur for 10 days. On day 5 of stims, they were able to see 8 or 9 follicles, on day 9 of stims they were only able to find 5 or 6. I was on Ganirelix for day 9 and 10 of stims. I triggered with 2 Ovidrel last Monday.

To my surprise they retrieved 9 eggs, apparently there were some hiding behind some of the bigger ones.

I got a call the next day saying that 3 fertilized and that my transfer would be sat.

I did not find out what my quality was until i was litterally in stirrups and to our delight, I had 2-8 cells and one 10 cell. We transferred all 3 . Then the doc said that i had two late bloomers and that they were going to see if they make it to blastocyst and hopefully we can freeze them.

I am on the prometrium suppositores, and i was worried that it wouldn't be as good as the shots but my nurse stated that they had switched to the suppositories a while back and had maintained their numbers. So i guess it might be better than the shots but it gives you a nasty discharge

I finally just wanted to say good luck to everyone and to hang in there. Everytime, I thought I had one number, I was blessed with more and all it really takes is one, as I know of people who only had one and ended with a BFP. God bless you all.

cincinnati - Welcome!!! 2WW sure is something isn't it? 3 embies is wonderful! We also transferred 2-8cells and 1-10 cell and in addition one 5 cell! Have you been tempted to POAS?
kbear- good to hear from you! Glad you had a good time! Be careful with the POAS thing, as tempted as I am we heard it before that it could be misleading either way! So if you do it, take it with a grain of salt! I know how hard it is cause I want to go POAS right now! Waiting for Sat when we are not even alone stinks! Thank you for your thoughts and prayers of a BFP and right back at ya! My thoughts and prayers are with you for a BFP, I hope we can all be pregnant together! How is your belly? Mine is hard and sticking out, had to get bigger clothes! Probably the meds but I like the hope of it being the embies!!! i hope you don't get as sore after the pad! I can't concentrate on work either - posting is way more fun!!!

weezie: Glad the nurse worked out. I had a dream I was giving myself the PIO shhot Dh starts a new shift at work, so he has to be there at 7am I don't get up that early usually. I might stay asleep and just let him turn me over and jab me Good morning!

Well girls, I thing my boobs gre a size since the trigger last night. I just found out my dad will be in town this weekend, so I am hoping for a day 5 transfer (Sunday) SO hopefully he won't notice me in a 2 day bed rest.. hmmm that will look a bit obvious. Prob. will just have to tell him.
