Hello!!!

I just completed an ivf- icsi (first time) and am 5 weeks pregnant!!!! I go for my second beta tomorrow!!!!

We were able to fertilize 5 eggs (i am 40 so that was great) and they were all great quality........I ended up with 2 - 10cell 1- 9 cell and 3 - 8 cell!!!! I transferred 4 due to my age..

best of luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

I completed my first IVF-ICSI in September and am now almost 17 weeks along with twins. Both my husband and I had pretty significant fertility issues. I have PCOS and my hubby has problems in all three areas that men can have problems in. Hopefully you will be as successful as we were.

Good Luck!

We TTC for nearly 6 years!! No one could give us an answer as to what was wrong.. Military docs.. a little slow I guess!! but anyways Dh has pretty severe MF issues.. Low count, low motility, poor morphology.. I have one blocked tube as well. We went through our first IVF w/ ICSI cycle June 2007 and got our BFP! I will be 32 weeks on Monday .. and am expecting our handsome little man in February!!

Good Luck!!

Hi Riogirl,

My DH had no sperm production that was evident. He took medication and then had a TESE surgery to extract sperm. We did ICSI and I am now almost 20 weeks pregnant with a girl! It is an amazing world out there!!!!

Hi Riogirl, I did my first IVF with icsi in July 2006, we thought we only had male issues, antisperm antibodies killing the tails and also low motility. I was 37 got 12 good embryo's to use, we got a BFN, however we then got pregnant on the following 2 FET's but unfortunately miscarried, further tests show i have a clotting problem and i now take a junior aspirin everyday. my last FET in october resulted in a pregnancy going very well and i am 11 weeks with twins.

Good luck to you.

Hi Riogirl,
We also had MF as the primary & really only diagnosis. It took us 3 IVF's & 2 FET's and now I'm finally pregnant. I wanted to tell you my story because it's better to be prepared that IVF isn't a guaranteed thing, especially the first time. I was crushed when it didn't work the first or the second time, but we stuck with it and I'm now 8 wk & 2 days!
Best of luck to you. I hope you are one of the lucky 1st time pregnant women!

Hi there
I have pcos and my husband had low to nil sperm count, we were told we only had a 15% chance of conceiving with icsi and no chance naturally. we had one attempt at ICSi and had lovely twin boys weighing 9lb 2oz and 8lb 3oz that was 10 1/2 years ago. 3 years ago I started to feel ill and found out I was expecting again naturally!! My other little miracle another boy is now 2 1/2. Good Luck

Hi ladies-
For yet another success story...

My DH and I were unsuccessful conceiving on our own, so we did our first round of fertility (ICSI). We also had a male issue leading to our infertility. DH has low motility, low morphology, and not so great sperm count. We had 2 embroy's make it to be transferred back in, and vola....we are now pregnant. In fact, we are pregnant with triplets. One of our embryos divided and became a set of identical twins. So we are pregnant with two boys (the identicals) and one girl. We are due on May 30th.

Good luck with ICSI. It is a miracle procedure that I would recommend to anyone.

Congrats!!! This is so exciting! Keep us posted on how you are doing. If you find that you are having triplets, we have a great Triplet thread under "pregnant after treatment".
