Holy cow ladies!! I miss a day,and I can hardly catch up!
ET is today, and before that, DH has to go in for surgery to remove a stint they put in after his kidney stone- it was so bad, 1 of his kidneys actually shut down- hopefully he'll be ok, but it means I may be flying solo at ET unless a friend is able to come with me

I will follow up on all of you later - everyone sounds great!!!!!! sticky

and a quick note to Marin - I had the same deal, 65 estradiol after 4 days stim - and so they bumped me up, and while it took longer, we did get there- and 6 embys are at the lab as we speak (going to pick them up in a bit) hee hee!!!!!

Sorry i haven't posted it sounds like everyone is coping well and getting ready for all of those BFP's wether they come via a POAS test (RIO)or or by the official test. they are so hard to avoid.

I've done my trigger shot this evening i'm booked in for EC fri at 9.00am i'm so hoping theres some thing to work with does anyone know the difference betwee gonal - f and puregon there both follitropin but ones beta and the other alph i can't help but wonder if the change in the drug is the cause for my poorer than poor response but yes i can hear you all saying you only need one and i'm greatful we have the three i just know how the majority of my eggs die not long after fertilization they don't seem to last to long and if this round doesn't work i don't know especially seeing i'm already on the max does maybe my ovaries are packing it in .

Loopie- good luck today! I hope your DH feels better - how scary let us know how ET went!!
jomae- I am praying and thinking of you, I also hope that they get a couple of eggs and one great embie at least so that you can have your miracle!
Tammy- how many did you transfer? I am losing track
weezie - I saw that you had a post on another board asking about how many embies to transfer. I don't think you really know the answer until you talk to your RE and DH at the same time. We were adamant about 3 but then when we saw we had a little underdog (5 cell but no frag) and we talked at length with my RE about the clinics statistics, we decided on all 4 because otherwise the 5 cell would have to be frozen and we didn't want to have just one frosty or have it not make it. My RE said that personally his wife had 4 put in and they had one daughter, we are also very comfortable with the idea of twins which made our decision easier. Good luck with your decision, I know it is a hard one!

Hi ladies! I haven't posted in a while, but it looks like you are all moving along just great! suga - congrats on the BFP! I hope you start a nice long string of them.

Rio - I was reading one of your posts and you mentioned that RE doesn't give you results until your 2nd beta. I also noticed you were in CA. You don't by chance go to Pacific Reproductive Center do you? I only ask because that's where I go and my RE doesn't give results til the 2nd beta either, and to be honest, I haven't met anyone else who's doc does it this way. Anyway...wishing you and all the others a big fat BFP this week! Girl you've got the willpower...I POAS'd like crazy last time.

Hi Ladies,

I haven't posted in a while because I wasn't sure what to post and since this is my second time I didn't want to freak anyone out or be a downer. After my transfer I was perplexed by the quality of my embryos and had a lot of questions roaming around in my head and didn't want to make others worry or place doubt in anyone's minds! Sorry to be MIA for a while! I did miss you all and tried to keep up with all the reading; you have all been so busy!

I am keeping my fingers crossed for all of you going through stimming for big juicy follies with healthy eggs inside!

I am crossing my fingers for all of you awaiting your fertilization report and/or who have embies dividing away at the lab too!

For those going through transfer this week, and that have just gone through transfer lots of STICKY BABY DUST thoughts for you!

We transferred back 3; I had 10 that were still dividing at the time of the tranfer but about 7 of them weren't so great. They were only about 4-5 cells and had a lot of fragmentation. My RE isn't sure why, but she said the three that we did transfer were all grade 1 (which is the best they can be). So even though we transferred 2-8 cells, and 1-6 cell, she really believes I can get pregnant off these embryos even though they are slow growers. She really didn't want me to transfer 3 back, she tried to convince me to only do two but I said if we have three that are suitable, put them all in! She called today to discuss the low quality of my other embryos because none of mine made it to freeze and she said it could be because I had to be on 10 units of Lupron every day to help my estrogen stay in check; but reassured me she is confident I have a 65% chance of pregnancy with this transfer. She thought is was a good transfer. So I am just trying to wait it all out!

corny- different clinic - same torture !!! I never heard of that either but I guess that makes sense if you have a chemical pregnancy or your Hcg levels are still affected by trigger shot, he does one at 10 days and 12 days after transfer and only gives you a BFP if your levels went up. How are you doing? Have you started stimms? Good to see you around here again!

Hopin- Don't think for a second that your post would be a downer, that's what we are all here for, to support each other! I am glad you showed up! The transfer sounds great - 3 great quality embies! 65% chance is awesome! Sticky vibes for you!!!! When is your test date? Was it a 5 day or 3 day transfer? Good luck!!!

My test date is Thursday Feb 7th.

We were a three day transfer. My RE said because the other embryos were high enough quality it was easy to tell which ones were the front runners and that waiting to day 5 for me was no benefit. I was concerned about this at first, but she said not to be TONS of women get pregnant on day 3 transfers! So I am trying to keep my head up. My primary nurse said to me just before I left the office on the day of the transfer "you are pregnant until we tell you your not. so treat your body as if you are pregnant". So that is what I am trying to do mentally and physically!

Loopie - good luck on ET today!! Can you drive yourself home after ET, or do they recommend that someone take you? I woudl have someone come with you is possible. Hope DH is ok.

Weezie, Mia - did you get your fertility report today, after ER?

THey just called abot mine - out of the 20 eggs, 15 fertilized...6 with ICSI and 9 without. We're hoping for a reall good one of the 9 non-ICSI ones!!
They said they'll probably have me doing a day5 transfer which is sunday!! btu if it is day 3, then it's this friday and they won't call me until friday morning to tell me to come in that day...oh well, i'll be ready. hopefully DH will be available to drive me. but i hope we won't have to do a day3 anyway.

Hopin: good to hear from you. I think that your report for the 3 that you transferred has wonderful odds and that you will be pregnant. PMA girlie. It only takes 1. I transferred almost exactly the same...although mine were grade 2....and I am not worried. You did a day 3 transfer? We are here for each other...so dont feel afraid to tell us how you feel. Smile...you are probably pregnant!

Corny: Good to hear from you too. I think that the way your docs do the testing would drive me batty. I would want to know if it was a chemical pregnancy and what not. That would be my right to know. You know?

Loopie: You poor girl and your poor DH. My goodness. I am praying for you both. Take care of each other. Good Luck and let us know when you can how it went.

Hopin: I just read that you said day 3. The 3 you transferred are not slow growers then. They are perfect!! You want to see 6 or preferrably 8 cell embies on day 3. So you are sitting pretty girl. Lift that chin!!

Bat: That is awesome!!! You are surely going to day 5 then without a doubt! I would be shocked otherwise. So many even fertilized on their own and your stats are wonderful! You will be PUPO in no time!

Tammy - i stayed home today. i'm feeling ok, actually kinda guilty for not going to work but i have this weird kinda pulling feeling in my stomach...so it's probably a good thing that i'm home today. but i'm back in the office tomorrow.

i saw your 2 cents to katie about telling mom about IVF. I am debating whether to tell my mom also...she worries all the time about everything, and i dont want her to drive me nuts or worry herself...it needs to be a stress-free environment, you know? . plus DH an I decided to keep this to ourselves, although he said he understands if i want to tell my mom. i dont know what to do....she knows we're going through IVF sometime soon, but doesn't know specifics...hmm....i think i might tell her after ET so she can come hang out with me while i'm on bedrest and DH is at work.

I actually told alot of people. We are quite open about it. The response has been wonderful. Lots of support and love. I realize that isnt the norm, though. Everyone knows how their own moms or families would act...and you are absolutely right....if she would cause more stress than necessary....than no way tell her.
