New to the IVF heres my story so far

Post by Whitney72 »

Hi my husband and I are trying for our first child. We tried a blind study with anastrazol and a placebo for 3 cycles with no results. I only got my follicles to a 14 mm 2 times and they said there was no way to tell if I ovulated or not. Then they said they got a grant from the FDA for an IVF study with 40 slots for people who want to be in it. The cost would only be 3000 for the whole study compared to 11-15,000? We jumped on the opportunity. Now we are worried now that we are getting very close to the start date of the study. They said they induce menopause and that worries both of us. We are in our early 30's and would like some help from people that have done this procedure and are there other ones they may not have let us know about. Can Ovudril, anastrazol, or another drug maybe help? 2 Doctors said I had PCOS and anaovulation. I was told that other drugs like anti-anxiety drugs may help too? Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks, and Im happy to have found you all.

Whitney,
My protocol called for "inducing a mini-menopause" too with Lupron, and plenty of women do IVF this way. It wasn't a problem for me. I just feel hot all the time and had some headaches. Lostgirl
