My husband and I have been through the initial tests to findout why I am not getting pregnant and he was tested and told he has tons of little guys but I had to have one tube removed and the other is damaged. I am new to the board and have read alot about people on the 2, 3, 4 IVF with no success - this is a very emotional time and I wanted to know what to expect. I meet with the specialist on 3/3 to discuss beginning the process of IVF.
I was pregnant with our first cycle of IVF......but sadly miscarried at 5 weeks. Keeping everything crossed for our FET in March.
Good luck!

I agree - think positive! I did my 1st IVF in Nov/Dec and I am now 11 weeks pregant! Worked like a charm! I have had a great pregnancy so far with no issues. It can happen! Just think positive and try not to stress about it. I feel very blessed it happened on the 1st try. My sister-in-law got pregnant twice through IVF - 1st try, she got pregnant. Then she went through a frozen cycle, pregnant again on 1st try! I now have 2 healthy, wonderful nephews through her cycles.
Good luck!

Rigby Tripper,
I didn't get lucky on my first IVF (the cycle was canceled) but here is a link to IVFConnections where they have a whole thread devoted to IVF success first time around.
I found it overly enthusiastic, and generally like this board better because it serves up a dose of realism with its everlasting support, but on my darkest days this thread such did the trick!
I too had tubal damage. I did get pregnant w/ my first attempt at IVF. I think if you have more than 2 failed IVF attempts then you should try a new clinic. A new clinic tends to do things differently than the previous clinic. They usually try new protocols. My cousin went to a new clinic after 3 failed attempts and became pregnant. She said they did things totally different than her previous doctor and it seemed to have worked. Good luck
