WashingtonDA: ICSI girl's story is very different from yours, so don't worry sister friend. I read Angie's story (ICSI Girl) in another thread and her numbers started low and then started to drop (by the 3rd test).
Angie (ICSI)--if you are reading, I want you to know that I was really crushed to read your sad news. I got my bfn at the same time and reading your post made me cry even more, I had the feeling that we were both crying at the same time for the same reason. I miss reading your posts, I hope you're being good to yourself.
Michelle--how are you feeling? did you ask about the gatorade? did you check out the smart water?

I am almost too scared to believe it but I took an HPT this morning and got a BFP!
I am 10dp3dt today. The line is definitely there. I am so excited but scared that something will happen and it won't stick. My beta isn't until 02/06 (my RE's office has a policy about testing 18 days past ER). Please keep your fingers crossed for me that the line continues to get darker and darker. I have been tired for the past week but chalked that up to the progesterone shots but then this morning driving to work (sorry if this is too graphic) my left boob started to have a burning sensation just for a few brief seconds and it happened twice and I decided I was going to go ahead and POAS even though I had sworn I wouldn't do it until Monday.
Unexplained: Everyone is right. I can't tell you how many stories I have read about people getting a BFN on an HPT and then being totally surprised when they beta showed they were pregnant. PUPO
hey nikki,what i meant to say was i'm due to test on feb.10 but will do so on feb.6 instead...this is what 2ww does to the brain..by the way i posted a run down on the ivf board of what happens after a 3dt...just something i found while lurking on another board...you might want to check it out
andnichole -- Congrats my Shady Grove partner. You may be on to something. Remember that I tested about 5 days early and got a very dark line my first test and it just got darker each day thereafter. I must congratulate you right now.
I tested everyday from the 1st positive HPT right up until I went for my beta and got a darker positive each time.
My lines were so dark as soon as I peed on the stick that I am thinking that I may be carrying multiples. My betas were pretty high too. I have my first U/S on the 12th because my DH is away until the 8th and the 12th was the next available day that my RE would be at the clinic. Can't wait.
Please keep us posted through every test.

washingtonda: I will definitely keep you all posted. I have 2 more HPTs. I think I may do one on Monday and then again on Tuesday since my beta is 7:30 Wednesday morning. I think your numbers are pointing towards twins! I can't wait to hear your results on 02/12! We transferred 2 3-day embies although I would be very surprised if both took.

andnichole -- We transferred to high grade, 6 day blastocyst embies with Assisted Hatching. It is very likely that we could have more than one. Not feeling many symptoms these days but I can't button my jeans anymore. The bloat should be gone so my little belly is trying to do something. I only weight 134 lbs so carrying more than one would be some work for me lol.

I went for the blood work this morning, despite the winter storm we have here. The results will not be in till this afternoon, but I lost hope yesterday already, and honestly, I have not heard a story of someone taking a pregnancy test on day 13 and 14 after 3d transfer and get a negative, if in fact was pregnant, so this is it for me.
But I do have a plan already in place. I am meeting with my RE next week to discuss when I can have FET. I have 6 frosties, and I hope that I can have at least 2 FETs, if the 1st one does not work. And if both will not work, although I hope they will!!, I am going for an egg donor. There is no point to do 4th IVF with my crappy eggs.
Esperanza- did you talk to your RE yet. How long of a break do we need to have before FET?
Unexplained: Read this and don't give up hope. I found this on another forum:
"I totally know what you mean. I did IVF, and up until the day before I went in for my beta, my HPT's were coming back negative. I was so down thinking it did not work. When I went for the beta blood test my level was 95. So, at that level it should have been but it wasn't. They said that it was probably due to the rate of absorbtion - I having a slower rate."
Unexplained: I'm sending you a big hug. That is awesome that you have a plan and know what steps you are taking. I have heard Ghost on another forum talk about people that had multiple fresh cycles and couldn't get pregnant but as soon as they did their first frozen cycle they got pregnant and it stuck. As for me....I actually felt nausea this morning...just for like 20 mins. I think I'm going to POAS tomorrow morning....I am really nervous! I know it might be too soon, but my beta is monday. SO we will see. Anyone have any fun plans for the superbowl???

Esperanza- I will ask my doc about smart waters next time I go, but I am sure they are fine. I picked up some propel this afternoon and some apple juice. I am just so sick of apple juice, so I am hoping I like the flavored propel.
Just want to send out an invite to anyone who's due in september, or close to..I finally started posting on another thread. I am in the pregnant after treatment section, under september 2008 babies.
