Yeah....two have become three.....we are so thrilled and overwhelmed with emotion. Sydney Teresa and mom and dad were released yesterday at 2pm (Friday 2-1)

Baby Sydney was born on 1-30-08 at 5:01pm weighing 8 lbs 2 oz.

I started with contractions at 4am, water broke at 4:30am, we were admitted to L & D at 6am (only 2 cm...OMG) we knew we had a long day ahead, started potossin drip at that time, 9am still only 3-4 cm, contractions were getting bad (2.5 min apart lasting 1 min), epi at 9:30am, wooo hooo, but unfortunately didn't completely do the job, didn't effect my left side, all med went to right (I looked like a stroke victim). DR kept on trying to fix but made things worse for mom and baby (low BP mom, high HR baby) DR stopped labor all together to get all regulated, 3pm, pain on left still there, contractions BAADDD, but better than the alternative (stroke victim)...finally 10 CM at 4:35pm ready to push...yeah! and she was out by 5:01pm...what a day!! Baby Sydney breastfed right after delivery for about 30 min...soooo special, she was a natural!!!

Mom is feeling great, but ready to loose the additional weight, milk came in last night and baby is strictly on breast milk now after supplementing briefly in the hospital due to her not urinating within the first six. But she went right back on the breast and is voiding like a champ!!!

Sorry this is long just wanted to update....

Jovi...where are you?????? Hopefully with a new bundle of joy inyour arms.

Enjoy those babies ladies

noodle, congrats on your new bundle of joy!!!

Well, we have been blessed with Miss Emily Katharine on 2/1/08. She weighed 7 lbs and 12.6 ozs and was 20.75 in long. Born very healthly and took to breastfeeding immediately after birth.

Here's my story: I was admitted Thurs night (1/31) (already at 2cm dialated, 70% effaced, -1 station, contracting) to hopefully jumpstart labor with Cervidil. And boy did it get things going. About 2 hours after they had put it on my cervix, I was in hard labor (midnight). Emily was born at 4:49am on Fri 2/1. I think I surprised everyone with how fast I went. All went great with the labor, even pushing, except for the epidural. If I had known then what I would go through because of it, I wouldn't have gotten one. Ever hear of a "Wet Tap"? Well I had 3. 4th try they got the epi in and it worked. Because of the wet taps, I lost alot of spinal fluid and had a horrible headache (the worst migraine you could imagine x 3). It took 2 blood patches to "fix" my leaks. Anyway, long story short, we are now home, me and Emily are doing great and we feel so blessed as a family. Emily bfs every 2 hours and is growing like a weed.

I just wanted to thank you lovely ladies for all of your support during this IVF/pg journey. This website was a lifesavor in many ways.

Oh Jovi, Congrats!!!!! Sorry to hear about your trouble but glad you are doing better. I totally agree with you about this site being a lifesavor.. I don't know what I would have done without everyone here and all the support that everyone has given.

Hope everyone else is doing well and all those babies are growing and getting cuter.. I can't wait to see more pics.

Our update is at Lil mans appt he went from his post birth weight of 6.4 to 7.15 at his 2 week appt. He loves to eat as you can see by his weight gain but I am finding that my BBs are soooooo sore. It has got to the point today that I had to give a pumped bottle just because I can't even stand the thought of him BF. Do any of you have any suggestions or tips??? This is my 3rd baby but first that I have actually BF.

I am so happy for you and baby Sydney! Congratulations on your little one! It sounded like you had a fun time with the stroke victim stuff! I am so happy that your baby is here and healthy. And BIG! Wow 8.2!!! How exciting! Yippie!!! Sounds like she is gaining weight as well. Good for you!

Jovigal
Congratulations on the birth of your baby! Woo Hoo! I am so thrilled for you as well. It sounded horrible about your headache. I cant stand having a headache and that sounded bad. So sorry for you on that note. I loved having this web page to share things with as well along the pregnancy journey. Thank you for sharing your birth story. Loved reading about it.

Hey Steph
Sorry about the BF thing. I know what you are saying. I have had that in the past and I use that lansinoh cream for my nipples and it worked out well. I applied it all day!!! I am so sorry that you are so sore. That really stinks. It is hard to deal with that. I hope that it improves for you. Have you tried the nipple sheilds? They are made by Madela I think. They might help.

Hope that the rest of you are doing well. Thinking about you

I went back to work and it has just been a nightmare! I start my weekends only on Sunday and then I am off all week until next Friday! Woo Hoo! I am so happy! I hope that it just gets better and better. We shall see. My babies are doing well. I have a doc appt for them on the 21st. I will update you then. I did make a slideshow for my web page at www.thejourneyforbaby.blogspot.com

take care.
Tanya

TansRN, Jovigal, My2LnT, and all the other lovely moms!

I just wanted to check on you guys and see how you were doing. I see that most of the lovely women I knew from the May-June thread are now proud parents and I'm HAPPY for you!!! Hehehe you guys almost all removed your tickers and I freaked out a little bit at first, lol! But I wish you lots of tender moments with your children, all the sleep and help you can get, and lots of fun, too, while you make exciting discoveries with them each day.

Take care guys! :)

Sounds like everyone is moving along fantastically! I said to my DH this morning "I didn't know I could ever be this happy" and it's true. We have our 1 month check up on Monday and I'll report updates then. Sydney is a very good girl, when I don't overstimulate her or she isn't overtired. The book "Baby Whisper" really helped us out, Sydney was crying sooooo much and only cat napping during the day. Now she's sleeping/eating every 2-3 hours during the day with GREAT awake time and we focus on one single activity rather than running all over the house making her frantic. At night she is eating every 4.5-5 hours, I was nervous at first letting her go that long and my breasts still haven't adjusted, but she is so much more relaxed and content when she's awake now. Don't get me wrong she still crys, just not all the time.

I hope everyone else is enjoying this time as much as we are. I won't be returing to work DH and I feel we can make it at least 1 year. Hopefully I can figure something out at home to make a little money, I do like my take out food a little to much!

Tanya I have left comments to those little cuties on your blog, They are so cute I tell ya.
Noodle you are very lucky to be sleeping that much at night I am so jealous
My little guy has refused to sleep at night our bedtime is bath at 9 bottle with a little rice cereal then he still wants boobs by 10 and boobs again 1230 and he still gets up to eat at 230 and 420 which stinks cause I am going back to work next week and have to be up by 5 at work by 6 while I am very lucky he will be with me just the thought of driving a school bus all day with him and me not sleeping just makes me want to cry already  Well he is growing SOOO big I will post updated info Monday that is his 6 week check up.

I hope everyone is doing well hope to see more updates and pics soon.

Hey girls
Things are so nuts for me right now with the four kids, work and school. I love it but it is nutty! I am still stressing over what I want to do in life. Like with work and school. Still havent found peace with any decision so I will stay with all of it for now.

Steph
Thank you for your comments on my page I really appreciate it. I love reading them. I know what you mean about loving him so much. I didn't think that it would be so great but it sure is. I love them just as much as I love my older boys. They are so great. I just feel so wonderful every time I hold them or love on them. It is such an awesome feeling especially after waiting so long. I am tired all the time too. It is worth it though. Lil bit is getting so big! I can't believe it already! How wonderful.

Noodle
So good to hear that things are going well and that you and Sydney are loving each other so much! How awesome! I know what you mean about things being great. I love my life and I am really happy.

I hope that everyone else is doing well I know how busy it can be.
