The Pre first scan gang 2

Hi Girls, how are we all doing today? 5 days and counting to my first scn on 2nd Jan and am absolutely plopping myself. Am still veering wildly between being completely positive that everything will be fine and then the next minute convinced that it won't. Went a bit mad on Xmas Day and told loads of people that we weren't intending to tell until after the scan bit no going back now. Still have really sore veiny boobs, backache and have started feeling sick the last few days but have not actually been sick yet. It seems to come and go in waves, generally worse first thing in the morning and early evening. AF is due in the next couple of days and have been getting crampy feelings lately and am convinced each time I go to the toilet that she will have arrived. HelenLouise, Helen and Sammie, how are you doing? any symptoms to compare? HelenLouise, am I right in thinking your scan is 8 Jan? Helen and Sammie, what dates are your scans? Hiya, my scan is on the 7th Jan and i'll be 8weeks by then. Still a bit of a wait until i can see whats there and feel more positive. I'm having to restrain myself from buying more hpt kits to reassure myself. Have been feeling slightly nauseous now and agin, but mostly my boobs hurt and as all my bras are underwired ones i really must make a trip to m&s for some softer ones. I've been feeling a bit emotional too, but maybe thats because i have a cold and feel reluctant to take anything for it as i'm so worried it could hurt the embbie. Felt guilty as i had potato salad with mayo yesterday!! Also, have very few clothes that fit because i have put on weight already from too much snacking and don't want to wear anything too tight for fear of squashing embbie !! Bit moany today-sorry! Hi I go for my scan on Tues 30. I have sore boobs especially at night when i take my bra off and in the morning when i have been lying on them all night. I have large breasts anyway but their getting bigger but don,t want to buy new bras i feel as if i am tempting fate maybe after tommorrow. I have been feeling sick and i start to feel rather unwell if i don,t eat often but i can only eat small amounts. But i have got these tablets from boots 'mum to be' their called and they have ginger in them and it seems to help. I checked that they didn,t have any effects before i started taking them as i am still taking drugs. I am still having the odd twinge and some brown discharge xmas day was the worst but i think it looks worse because of the pessaries (don,t want to sound to graphic) take care Helen Reid

Hi, My scan is Friday 9th Jan @10.30 (I'm off work until 12th). I think I will be just a couple of days away from my 8wks when this is done. I've been told my due date is September 7th. It has still not sunk it that I am pregnant, because apart from bigger/tender boobs, I really don't feel any different. I get AF type pains most days, but they are not really painful. I have not done a HPT, but as I've never seen a positive one, maybe I should do one!! If they find a heart beat at the scan, then it will seem REAL!! Hi Helen, Just wanted to wish you good luck for your scan tommorow. I feel like you - sick if I don't eat anything for a while and boobs hurt. I have lived in my pjs for the last few weeks so haven't had any probs with bras yet! I am also suffering from backache and pains right at the top of my bum. Anyway, good luck again for tommorow, make sure you post to let us know ASAP. Love Julie xx
