Good luck/congratulations to everyone else (since I'm so rubbish as lists etc).

As for me, the reason my test date is quite late is that my clinic usually test on the 16th day but it's shut for Chinese New Year so has been put back until Saturday. The wait is killing me. Am currently feeling very gassy (and a little constipated - sorry TMI) which is causing back ache/stomach ache (sorry if TMI!) - does anyone else feel like this? (and the back ache isn't good since it makes it feel like AF is coming... and we don't want that!)

Well, we got the news today. We trigger at 1:30 am tonight (yikes)! ER is Wednesday. They told me to only take 1/2 the HCG because my E2 levels tripled in the last 2 days, even though they cut my stim meds. I'm at 3800 right now. They are expecting 10 or so follies, maybe more if some of the smaller ones catch up.

TammyS, Weezie, Kelly - everyone else - good luck on the rest of your 2WW. I know I'm not getting everyone here, but I'm thinking of you all

So, you know how they were worried that my numbers were low? Well, it seems I am just a slow grower but they are growing. They were worried they might have to drop back to IUI this cycle if ultrasound only showed 1-2 follies. But good news! I had my first stim ultrasound today and bloodwork also and signs are ok so far. You were all right about the PMA!

E2=425 (up from 45, then 105, then 250 yesterday) They seemed pleased with this jump and hope it will continue over the next few days.

Ultrasound showed: Right side- 9 follies all around 10x13 in size; left side 4 or 5 follies about the same size. So staying on 300 Gonal F and 5 Lupron for tonight, tomorrow and Wed AM. More bloods and US on wed am.

Can someone push back my ER date on page 80? Its clearly not going to be the 6th anymore. I am hoping for this weekend. I am one of the "did not tell ANYONE" about IVF peeps so when my parents come on the 15th for the weekend.... I hope to be done with ER and ET and bedrest! It might be hard to explain if I am sitting in bed for 2 days with no apparent illness!

OK- So I am going to vent in hindsight. My nurse faxed a script to my prescription company (they mail you the drugs) on 1/31 for an ASAP fed ex delivery of my Gonal F pens (refills). They did not show up on sat like they were suppposed to so sunday when I had bloods done, I talked to the nurse who said call to see what happened. I cant reach the specialty pharmcy who does all the IVF drugs cause its sunday so I am SOL and have to go to a local pharmacy and buy a pen for $1000!!! So, of course, I am not going to F up this whole cycle cause of this so I pay $1000 for 1 pen and then today at 7AM when the company opens I call and complain. I spent about 2 hours on the phone today getting an "override" so the insurance will cover the pen I got yesterday. I ask them to fed ex 4 more pens as at 300 u they dont last long. They cant get them here before tuesday night and I will run out after tonights dose. So, I end up convincing the nice woman at the prescription plan to override all 5 pens (somehow!) and call the next 4 into my local pharmacy. Meanwhile, my poor DH is sitting at the local pharmacy for 2 hours waiting for them to be approved by the script plan! ugh. At least we got them all. Refund to credit card thank god. (otherwise it would have been $5K for 5 pens). I am in a better state of mind now than I was earlier. DH apparently bought be a present which I have not seen yet but I think was in response to this minor meltdown!

Can't wait to see more BFPs!!

Sorry about no personals but I am in not a good mood tonight! lol! However, KATIE WOOHOO!!! And KBear I am so sorry hun!!

So I noticed today that my insurance did not pay for the 12,000 of IVF so I called and they said they canceled my COBRA due to late payment! I WAS SO UPSET! I paid on time and I told them I had the proof that I paid on time! It was in the computer! So they said they would try to reinstate it just this once since I applied within 90 days or something like that. However, the first person I talked to I yelled at and cried on the phone because that is a lot of money that we can not afford!! THe second lady reassured me that it would be taken care of and they would reinstate it and that the doctor would just have to resend it to get approved in a week or so. UGH!!! So now I have to tell the doctors office this and get all embarrassed!!

As for the shot...NO MORE! I had an allergic reaction to it...something about the oil. They said my levels were high enough anyways and just put me on the suppositories I AM DONE WITH SHOTS! WOOHOO!

I got another BETA today and it was 1388 remember last Thursday it was only 274? Yeah they are pretty sure both eggs took and I am having twins. First ultrasound the 18! yippie!

So I have tons of homework because I have been lazy and my *@#! teacher "forgot" to post some of it but still wants it due tomorrow...I will catch up then!!!

i am having the same problem with insurance paying for IVF - we're on COBRA also and we hav approval fromthe for the IVF cycle. i had to pay my doctor $11,000 out of pocket, and the insurance company is supposed to reimburse me. we'll see how much they actually pay back. i can't afford for them not to!!! it's been a battle with the insurance company since day one! but hang in there and stay on them and keep calling them!! get stuff in writing if you can.

Hi ladies-
I am new to this site. I have never undergone IVF until now. I am currently on Lupron and will hopefully be able to start Gonal F on Friday. However, I have a few questions that I was hoping you might be able to help me with...
-Does Gonal F have to be administered at the same time everyday?
-If the IVF is successful when can you begin going to an OB?
-We have decided to undergo IVF because my husband recently underwent chemo to treat his cancer which affected his sperm count and mobility. So we are hoping to keep the IVF a secret from everyone. We are trying to keep everything a secret from our family, do you think that will be possible?

Hi Cookinggirl- Welcome! A bunch of us are first timers also and have learned a ton from the more experienced folk. I know Gonal F should be administered as close to the same time each day (which sucks- getting up at 6AM on weekends to give the injection! I try to go back to sleep after).

I am not sure about the OB thing but I would guess you go to one after they see the heartbeat and are pretty sure the risk of miscarriage is low.

I have kept this a secret from EVERYONE (except DH of course). No one, no family, no friends, no coworkers. I have DH and the girls on this forum to talk to if I need the support. The thought of having to deal with people asking questions (that I cant answer) or the positive or negative judgements about what we are doing.... I couldnt handle all that on top of this. So, unless we get preg with quadruplets or something, I will not likely tell anyone ever.

I think there are a few people on here with chemo/ IVF reasons.

Gonal-F should be done at the same time each day. are you on another stim med, like Menopur? My RE said these two meds need to be exactly 12hrs apart, although i know that other people were told just to do one in the morning and one at night.

I am wondering about the OBGYN questin myself, but rio said earlier today that you don't start going to an OB unti lweek 10. So do you continue to go to ultraosunds of the baby to the RE after you get a BFP??

As far as keeping IVF a secret, it's very possible. we didn't tell very many people at all. in fact, i only told my boss because of all the time off i needed. and our family knew we were undergoing fertility treatments but didn't know when anything was actually going on. i think if (and when ) we get a BFP, we'll want to tell our close family right away. but also talked abot waiting 3mths before we tell anyone, but that might be hard.

Well I have been up most the day. Went to eat lunch with dh and then went back to bed. Then I made lasagna, then when dh got home went with him to the store. SO I am feeling good Drinking tons of fluids and looking forward to my vday bfp!

Cooking: WELCOME!!! Dh and I did not tell a single soul this time, and I am so glad. I get lots of support here so I didn't need to tell anyone. Once we get pg I will tell them it was through IVF. Gonalf is taken at the same time (1 hour leeway) everyday. Mine were in the evenings. I did lupron and then Gonalf. When do you start gonalf??

Suga: What a nightmare!!!! Glad you got it straightened out!! AND YEAH no more shots!!! Glad everything is going just as planned! And watch out twins, can't wait to hear for sure!!!

Jcw- I am also gassy and constipated with my huge tummy, so I think it is normal, I also heard it could be side effect from PIO.
Tammy- if you must POAS, then I wanted you to get good results

Welcome cooking! I didn't do gonal, sorry, but if it is like follistim, RE said within an hour every day. My RE will release me at 10 weeks to OB. My husband also had low mobility and count due to chemo,, we did IVF ith ICSI, transferred 4 embies on 1/21 and got a BFP on 2/2! Are you doing ICSI? I couldn't keep it a secret from my family because they are great support to me, but I am sure it is possible.
Mia glad you are feeling good! wouldn't that be the best V-day gift ever? I can't wait!
